Writings of the Heart

Recommended Posts

Call me selfish, call me self centered.

And I will gratefully accept it.

You can blame me. Point fingers toward me.

What can I do? I was falling for you.

I know, actually we both know… But How?

What do you expect me to do?

Tell my heart to stop? Then what?

Just let it crumble into pieces?

Can’t you understand? I was falling for you.

I was falling so fast, I could no longer stop.

Your eyes, your smile, your tears and your laugh

Everything about you.

The more I sail these stormy seas, the more I lose hope in seeing land.

Still confused to where I will go, my compass is broken, my mast is on my hand

The more I try, the more things break, theres water gushing through cracks and holes

The waves are now in control, moving me from side to side....

There must be hope in all of this chaos I have

Should I hold on or should let go of the wheel

So I can sink into this sea of dispair..... so I can rest my heart once more

And maybe peace I will find in this bottom than in a paradise land

The Cobblestone Ramp

It was a quarter past the hour of four when I stumbled upon her on the cobblestone ramp near my office. Her round face was as radiant as ever and her sultry lips were as appealing as ever. She surprised me by wearing a pair of dark framed, rectangular, trendy eyeglasses. But in my opinion, she looked better without her glasses. As we exchanged greetings and went on our separate ways, I could not help but think how wonderful she was. Suddenly, I remembered a famous person gave a quote about beauty. He said, "The beauty of a living thing is not the atoms that go into it but the way those atoms are put together."

From then on, not a day goes by without you on mind... To be continued.

The Perfect Crime.

It wasn’t with knives
my heart he tore,
when he brought me
to death’s door.

It wasn’t his hands
that had me slain–
but he had killed me
all the same.

Cold and callous
with no remorse,
he turned me to
a walking corpse.

And I am imprisoned
in this pain,
while he without
the slightest blame–
free to do it
over again.

ikaw pa rin

ang laman ng puso ko\

kahit masakit kahit mahirap
