kapitan_kidlat2001
i still consider myself a newbie in this art form...that is why i really do appreciate all the posts of the masters...reading and studying...and applying and practicing it as well....that is why, to all the PRO WANNABES spend numerous hours studying the craft...reading and backreading posts, manuals and photog websites, even trying to copy others work wont hurt like those u see n the magz or in the web....learn the basics....then practice with what you have...wether point&shoot, SLR,or techi dSLRs.....in my own opinion...ur camera is only a tool to freeze a single moment...but it is still the photographer who composes the story in each and every frame which gives the photo its beauty and value....honestly, i have not use any dSLR camera but when i have shown some of my shots to friends i would get flattering appreciation from them...which gives me the confidence that i have the eye for it.... Meloy
quote- " Im a Nikon user... so I don't think my opinion matters much... but I was able to use Canon cams through my friends... and those guys will tell you to go what works for you... 30D is a good camera model... especially in the hands of a photographer who knows what he/she is doing... that goes for any cam as well... I know a guy who uses a 31mpx hassie... and personally... I think his photos suck... and thats coming from an amateur guy like me... hahaha -Phrozhen.Khold Thanks for the input Phrozhen.Khold Well I finally did it---I bought the Canon 30D... its really expensive. But I really like this model. Ayokong bumili ng ibang model, tapos magsisisi ako later dahil hindi yun ang binili ko. Im still trying to figure out how to use it. (still a newbie).Right now Im taking shots in Auto mode, note the settings and improve them by making my own. And I want to thank those who gives advice and share their professional views like -pnoize2k4. Thanks guys Sample shot I took yesterday in Sharja near Mamzar (UAE) congrats on your aquisition. try mo sa Program mode instead of Full auto (represented by the letter P on the dial). this will make camera compute the f stop and shutter speed but without popping the built in flash Quote Link to comment

I especially like the pic of the glassy lake with the sail boats. The water is so smooth that you can actually see the mirror images of the masts on the surface. :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment

Phrozhen.Khold
Hi Mhaia... I have a few suggestions if you don't mind... Isolate your subject... there's too much distraction in your photos... remember simplicity works best... for example in your last photo... I know your subject is the 2 fruits... so try to isolate them... the thing in the back is distracting... Your 1st photo is ok... but it lacks depth... plus the set of windows at the right is disctracting as well (BTW, I work in RCBC Plaza too ) Your 2nd photo has too much noise and the photo itself is blurred... when taking nightscapes be sure to use a tripod... or at least put your camera on something stable so that motion blur wont be evident... So far that's it... read and practice some more... if you have questions feel free to ask Quote Link to comment
