How insensitive the society had been with stereotyping how one should look like and what is acceptable, that's why.

 

At the end of the day, there's this part in us who would want to appreciated. In the smallest or biggest way, we want to hear or receive compliments or we basically want to feel wanted. But with this classification that we so highlight, it tends to push them in a corner and feel unacceptable.

 

Yeah, we can tell them or assure them to keep an open mind or not to mind what others had to say... But we all deal with things differently, and that's when some tend to easily hurt from the smallest word we say, because they have a hard time receiving and accepting it.

Generally speaking, it's social stigma, we make fun of fat people from childhood to adulthood. At the same time, we worship skinny models and fantasize about them. Hence, fat people grow-up defensive and conscious about their figure. It differs from person to person, some grow confident and accept themselves fully well.

Society in general does that to them. Case in point is Samoa where fat people are not at all stigmatized, in fact its the other way around. Sadly, in most societies being fat equates to being subject to ridicule.

im thinking the sugar highs and lows have an effect sa mood swings and hormones. speaking as a diabetic and observation ko na rin, plus size people tend to laugh more especially during meal times, but may madamdamin or irate phase talaga pag mejo 3hrs ng wala food or drinks.

There are some fat people that really handle themselves very well that I think they are sexy. One case is Nanette Inventor. Mataba siya pero the way she presents herself to the public is so stunning na sa akin sexy siya. Si Meghan Trainor din, I have a crush on her despite her size...

 

In my opinion, if you know how to present yourself, with sufficient confidence, your size won't matter much.

Conversely slim, slouch people isn't good either, di rin siya attractive.

I guess it boils down to how comfortable you are with your physique. If you are happy with how much you weigh then you dont get hurt by jokes. If you get hurt, then why not do something about what's making you hurt. Eat better and exercise more. Again, it all depends on you. You cant control the people around you, the only thing you can control is yourself.

Bakit karamihan ng matataba eh madaling mahurt? Kasi meron ako friend na mataba na konting biro lang namin eh nagtatampo agad sa amin. Pero yung biro namin eh not related sa katabaan nya. Pero kung sya magbibiro sa amin eh hindi kami nahuhurt/ or mas matagal kami mainis pero konti lng.

 

Dahil ba yan sa dinidictate ng society na mas cool ang buff and sexy or may problem sa hormones ang matataba kaya mas madali silang maging sensitive. Or meron ibang reasons?

 

 

I'm pretty sure hindi related sa katabaan niya kung bakit siya nasasaktan sa mga biro. Most likely sensitive lang talaga siya, which is normal sa karamihan sa mga tao.

 

Sample, may kilala akong beauty queen - siya man o hindi ang subject ng biro, magrereact siya nang todo todo.

 

May kakilala din akong mukhang unggiy na ang lakas mang asar, at isa pang mukhang di naliligo na sobrang lakas ding mangasar - magkaibigan sila.

 

Isipin niyo nalang ganito - there are people who need to put others down so they can feel good about themselves. Honestly, those people are not worth your/our time.
