razrramon
my hammerhead's lower tail fin was accidentally severed while we were cleaning his tank. naputol almost half. exposed yung buto niya sa tail. is there a chance na babalik pa yun. already treated the tank with methelyne blue so that no fungus will infect the wound. anything else that we need to do? gibbus_long
my hammerhead's lower tail fin was accidentally severed while we were cleaning his tank. naputol almost half. exposed yung buto niya sa tail. is there a chance na babalik pa yun. already treated the tank with methelyne blue so that no fungus will infect the wound. anything else that we need to do? something similar happened to one of my catfish before, tail bitten off by an agressive cichlid. didnt grow back. catfish lived though but it was an ugly sight. I suggest you put in an antibiotic like furazan gold. so as to prevent a bacterial infection. better if you separate it if you have a spare tank. kung maliit lang naman un naputol it wont be that bad looking and it wont affect its swimming too much. dandadedong
guys ask ko lang ano ba benefits kung maglalagay ng plants sa aquarium? does it help eliminating harmfull substances in the water or it just adds additional oxygen? nakikita ko kasi sa malls yung aquarium with plants eh parang maganda gayahin...mahirap din ba magmaintain ng plants sa aquarium? I keep plants in my aquarium cause they make it look better but it takes some work to maintain it. suggest ko magread up ka muna before starting para maganda results. sabi nila if you put the right plants it helps minimize algae because it out competes them for the nutrients. try mo ung pinoyaquatics na yahoo group. I had one a couple of years back and it grew to 2 1/2 feet! it eventually died though I guess you need at least a 200gal tank for it. I kept it in a 100 gallon tank. beautiful fish but very agressive. it would bite everything even the tubings and dig everything up. As long as you have the space for it, you'l love it. you can still keep plants without CO2 injectors but they wont be as beautiful but still ok, just be carefull buying at cartimar because some of the plants they sell arent really waterplants or even bog plants but planted aquariums look really nice. chinggero
red bellies... are hardy fishes... as long as they are fed ok sila.. they are not aggressive if you keep only a few, lets say less than a dozen, pero kung 1 school talaga siya... dun sila nagiging aggressive... they are not as aggressive as their cousins the black belly piranha... easy to keep ang problem e lagi mabaho ang water, they have this feeding style na hahatiin nya lng yung torso ng feeders... kaya ayun palagi mabaho ang water at over head filter... distant cousin sya ng pacu, but di pa ako naka kita ng red bellies larger than a dinner plate, unlike pacus which can grow to bigger sizes (ive seen my friends pacu na halos half na ng 75 gallons tapos ang kapal, na hindi na siya nakaka ikot sa tank) pinaka malaki ko napalaki is size ng platito... tapos ayun nag sawa na rin sa frequent water change... ganda din yan... pogi! thrall
Pero ok tlga ang RBP kakaaliw panoorin, parang friday the 13th or nightmare on elm st ang aquarium pag feeding time!! Quote Link to comment
beefy
beefy
in my opinoun Kok in all cichlids including "flwr horn" are not a result of what you feed them.... cichlids usually develop hump or kok sa forehead because siya ang alpha male ng group nila.... Yan ang natural way to achieve yon hump sa head or KOK Quote Link to comment
