zeromike22
bro can I also help you with that one? First to ask is what is your video card port? Is it AGP or PCI-E? I have a price list here last update was on June 10 maybe I can recommend you something from 5k-8k ranges.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanks for the help pare... AGP is my video card port ... give me a list also of video cards that cost less than 5th pesos but packs a punch... Quote Link to comment
zeromike22
With your budget, you can buy the 6600gt Or, if you're lucky enough, you might stumble upon a 6800GS 2nd hand unit @ tipidpc.ocm The 6600gt can play Doom3 with no problems <{POST_SNAPBACK}> GEforce??? diba usually basta video cards ati radeon is the norm ...??? kenji_1989
GEforce??? diba usually basta video cards ati radeon is the norm ...???<{POST_SNAPBACK}> nVidia GeForce is the best for gaming pare. Yeah ATI cards ran faster but like Intel, stability is compromised. If you take a time to look to tech sites, you will see that most serious gamers use Nvidia over ATI. To give you an example based on my personal experience, I have used a GeForce FX5200 and ATI 9800. I played Warcraft with all high settings. In my nVidia, it ran well at 640x480 pixels. When I switched to ATI, yeah a little improvement but a strange violet line crosses my screen. I thought this is some bug so I checked the site for updates my driver and upon checking, my driver is up-to-date. And Counter-Strike has some "wavy" lines appearing on the walls when you scroll the mouse. When you compare the specs, you will see that 9800 is visually faster my FX but in performance, it seems that my Nvdia was better and buying that ATI made me waste my money. To sum-up, ATI is not good. Kahit nga yung high end ng ATI na x1900 ba yun, base sa experience ng 10 users, they are not happy with it. Sayang I forgot the link of the thread e. Not that Im biasing but upon experience, NVIDIA nalng choose mo tol Quote Link to comment

johnlove
It is, and Im already selling my SLI setup of XFX 7900GT (same model to what he has) LOL 15.5k per piece if interested hehehe <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks, does it mean that a single 7900gt would outperform 2pcs of 6600gt in sli? You're making an SLI/Xfire setup w/ high end video cardsb. Your rig won't have any difficulties running w/ an SLI setup (No bottlenecks, PSU concerns, Air flow of Case etc), and...c. If you have the money. I'd rather go for a 6800GT instead of 2 6600gt. Unless, of course, you have the 7900 series or the X1800XT Series Quote Link to comment

Ask cheese he's knows more What do you think cheesekeso?<{POST_SNAPBACK}> nye I only know due to experience Anyway, are you talking about BF2? Cuz if you are... IMO it seems it'll be a bottleneck. Battlefield is a very demanding game, although not as demanding as FEAR. One good thing that you should know about is that the larger mem module you have seems to have significant boosts in performance in BF2. However, your choke point is the proc, hopefully, you have the Tbred A Barton 2600+ so you can overclock it (or, you can also turn your Barton into a Barton Mobile, which WAS one of the best overclocking procs before ) Also remember that your proc is an XP series, and some mobos only have DDR 266 or 333 support. Those things are your major concern, but nothing to be crying about I suggest, when playing online, keep the res and image quality to low to keep a good framerate, close some unwanted background programs while you're at it (ym for example ), and don't worry much, the lag is often caused by your dsl or the server which you're playing at. d33th
Hi again! I think my mobo supports DDR 400 po. Below are the specs of the mobo that I have. Can you check please if this is good enough =) Asus A7N8X-X (Page 1 of 5 ) Asus is the top manufacturer of motherboards in the world. They make retail motherboards as well as OEM boards for OEM companies like Hewlett Packard. My old Hewlett Packard was powered by an OEM Asus motherboard and the Intel Pentium III processor. The performance and reliability of an Asus motherboard is top notch. They never fail to satisfy their consumers. Visiting forum to forum and looking around computer stores, I have realized that the many buyers choose Asus motherboards. From socket 370 to socket A to socket 478, Asus has a top performing board that will surely impress its user. Heck, I still have my Asus CUSL2 Black Pearl that's running a Pentium III 550. It overclocks like a champ! With such a great performance comes a great price. Not all Asus motherboards are cheap. The A7N8X Deluxe v2.0 and the P4C800 Deluxe are quite expensive.
