gary_gnu
The all forgiving Pinoys By : rblabian via email | YEHEY! Contributors25 October 2007 | 8:53 AM I am not sure if it is really filipino nature or just our culture to keep silent and just to be forgiving... What happened to Glorietta whether it be a bomb blast or chemical leakage... Is a fault in how safety is being looked at by big corporations like Ayala. Have we heard any news saying that the mall will be penalize? How many of this type of event happened on the same mall, a fire last year on the same area? or the the bomb that explode in 2000 on the same mall? Or have we forgotten how the Oakwood mutiny occured on that same mall? How safe is their mall really? If this kind of thing happens somewhere else in the world it will not be left without anyone getting into jail... Or corporations paying out lots of money to the victim as results of law suits... But for us forgiving filipinos... give it a month and everything will be forgotten... Look at what happened to Wowowee's tragic anniversary... have you heard of any1 being jailed or convicted? None and yes its rating even rocketed? Filipinos when are we going to learn to fight back? Are we going to continue to just be silent? Lets not just keep our silence... Let our voices be heard so that legislation can be done to prevent this type of mishaps... And to ensure that someone pays the price. Also, we can boycott this mall so until someone get convicted. We have other malls to choose from anyway... Filipinos, God said that we should be forgiving... But let us not allow this things happen again because God said so... We are not God and the only way we can learn from this type of mistakes is to not to forget... Quote Link to comment
