Took 15 units of Spanish in college. Too bad I had nobody to practice with so I lost the ability to speak the language. If you don't use the language regularly, you tend to forget how to read, write, and speak in that language.

Spanish was also a requirement back when I was a student. Elementary Spanish, Intermediate Spanish, Advanced Spanish and Philippine Spanish Literature were mandatory subjects back during my college years. Taking Spanish hasn't done anything for me as far as comprehension goes because after taking these subjects, I never again spoke the language. If you don't use it, you lose it is not a trite expression. It's very true.

Spanish in elementary and high school for 6 years but I kind of forgotten most of what I learned now.

I love learning languages - unfortunately, my course does not merit me to take one. I took German after I graduated - 1 to 2 sems lang. Portuguese (private tutor) when I was in Brazil. Lastly, Spanish - this took me a few years...

 

Next is to continue my Spanish or Portuguese - or move on to Japanese.

Well here in Qatar now all the schools teach English and plus most of the subjects we learn it in English li,e physics,chemistry,math,science and we take English classes too and other language is not much popular he at all except if you are in private school you can learn French that what is common here
