Cantonese when i was assigned in Hong Kong Fookien when i got married c/o my wife, sis-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother-in-law and all other in-laws i had and had not seen before and during our wedding whew!. effects... I could still remember a few mandarin words and can utter a few sentence enough to converse with... Cantonese... yup.. still could converse on it... thanks to 3 years in Hong Kong... Fookien, now ever heard of learning with pressure. Still struggling in this area even if i had been learning for almost 3 years. Quote Link to comment

Magaling Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 Diga me. Estudié español en secundaria escuela y en colegio y lo utilicé a veces hablar a mis abuelos en español cuando él todavía estaba vivo. Ahora, carezco práctica. Puedo haber leído inmóvil y escribir en español. Pero cuando hablo y escucho, tiendo "pienso" en inglés y lo traduzco mentalmente en español o viceversa. UNDergroundX Posted June 8, 2006 Share Posted June 8, 2006 Took up Chinese Mother Tongue in Singapore while i was studying there for Secondary School, will never forget it as i always fail or either just pass in all the tests. In the end took up Chinese Sylabbus B as well just in case for my o level results to be good. Passed it but Chinese Syllabus A will never be forgotten Quote Link to comment
