break_even Posted December 20, 2006 Share Posted December 20, 2006 currently using canon ixus 700 and ixus 55. okay naman. thinking of getting the ixus 850. if you guys plan to buy cameras, try niyo http://www.muradito.com guaranteed brandnew at low cost. but if you want real cheap cams, hidalgo in quiapo is the way to go! I've got a month to decide... help naman po digital slr mas biased ako sa canon. nikon is better with traditional photography. try looking at eos 400d if entry level ang hinahanap mo. although ok na rin for professional photography. or kung advanced yung 5d. there are a lot of reviews available sa net. hope this helps. Thank you po. you'll have better luck looking for second-hand cameras. try mo nalang tipidpc.com, baka may pumasok sa budget mo, although mahirap nga talaga ang 5k for a good digicam. Need some help. Thanks Tsong why not try superzooms? I got canon S2IS kaya lang mejo bulky and heavy. Pero astig naman ang superzoom kasi 12X. Pwede ka magzoom kahit nagvivideo ka kaya no need to buy video cam na rin if you have this. 5MP lang sya. If you want there is S3IS na 6MP. kaso almost the same features lang din. I got mine for less than 20k in quiapo (It sells 29,950 in malls). Bili ka lang highspeed na memory card para fluid yung video. Get reviews sa www.digitalpreview.com for other opinions. Lahat nandon. juancarlos_enriquez Posted January 1, 2007 Share Posted January 1, 2007 Ixus wannabe nga. I suggest that you check the powersource of the digicam that you're buying. Off the shelf batteries even if it's Energizer will only take a few photos before they run out. You may end up buying a rechargeable battery complement that will cost you an extra P500-P1000. It's going to be expensive to keep on buying batteries that are not rechargeable. That's why the high-end cameras are better since you can charge them thru usb or thru a plug. I suggest buying an ixus. Heard Kodak digicams aren't any good. Been a Canon user for years. Another thing, the Panasonic Lumix is also pretty good, that's what my dad uses. Quote Link to comment
