All about what women really wants… this is such a very interesting story…

Young King Arthur was ambushed and imprisoned by the monarch of a neighboring kingdom. The monarch could have killed him but was moved by Arthur's youth and ideals. So, the monarch offered him his freedom, as long as he could answer a very difficult question. Arthur would have a year to figure out the answer and, if after a year, he still had no answer, he would be put to death.

The question?....What do women really want? Such a question would perplex even the most knowledgeable man, and to young Arthur, it seemed an impossible query. But, since it was better than death, he accepted the monarch's proposition to have an answer by year's end.

He returned to his kingdom and began to poll everyone: the princess, the priests, the wise men and even the court jester. He spoke! with everyone, but no one could give him a satisfactory answer.

Many people advised him to consult the old witch, for only she would have the answer. But the price would be high; as the witch was famous throughout the kingdom for the exorbitant prices she charged. The last day of the year arrived and Arthur had no choice but to talk to the witch. She agreed to answer the question, but he would have to agree

to her price first. The old witch wanted to marry Sir Lancelot, the most noble of the

Knights of the Round Table and Arthur's closest friend! Young Arthur was horrified. She was hunchbacked and hideous, had only one tooth, smelled like sewage, made obscene noises, etc. He had never encountered such a repugnant creature in all his life. He refused to force his friend to marry her and endure such a terrible burden; but Lancelot, learning of the proposal, spoke with Arthur. He said nothing was too big of a sacrifice compare to Arthur's life and the preservation of the Round Table.

Hence, a wedding was proclaimed and the witch answered Arthur's question thus: What a woman really wants, she answered....is to be in charge of her own life.

Everyone in the kingdom instantly knew that the witch had uttered a great truth and that Arthur's life would be spared. And so it was, the neighbouring monarch granted Arthur his freedom and Lancelot and the witch had a wonderful wedding.

The honeymoon hour approached and Lancelot, steeling himself for a horrific experience, entered the bedroom. But, what a sight awaited him. The most beautiful woman he had ever seen lay before him on the bed. The astounded Lancelot asked what had happened. The beauty replied that since he had been so kind to her when she appeared as a witch, she would henceforth, be her horrible deformed self only half the time and the beautiful maiden the other half. Which would he prefer? Beautiful during the day....or night? Lancelot pondered the predicament. During the day, a beautiful woman to show off to his friends, but at night, in the privacy of his castle, an old witch? Or, would he prefer having a hideous witch during the day, but by night, a beautiful woman for him to enjoy wondrous intimate moments?

What would YOU do?

Anyway, what Lancelot chose is this....

Noble Lancelot said that he would allow HER to make the choice herself. Upon hearing this, she announced that she would be beautiful all the time because he had respected her enough to let her be in charge of her own life.

Now....what is the moral to this story?

If you don't let a woman have her own way.... Things are going to get ugly!!! :P

do i know what women want... maybe not... but there's one thing that i must know... i must know what my woman wants... when she wants it, where she wants it, how she wants it, how often she wants it... the bottom line... don't worry much what the general population of women want... just know what your woman wants... i think, all she wants is her man by her side, no matter what. :hypocritesmiley:

you said it all! i want my guy to be like that!

yup, it seems to me that all the women who have posted their replies in this site know what they want in guys, but in reality do they REALLY know what it is that they REALLY want? if thats the case then why is it that there are still a lot of women out there complaining about the guy that they are with right now or even the relationship that they are in? you know why? coz even though they are pretty much aware of what it is that they want or what it is that they need for their lives to be complete they still settle for someone less because a lot of women, im not saying all of them, are still blinded by looks and material possessions. and thats the truth. i know that a lot of you will react with what i have just written but please do try to think about it. if you are not guilty then good for you but if you are then what will you do?

there are a lot of great guys out there who are willing to love you with all their heart if you will only give them the chance too. sure they might be lacking in some aspects like looks and wealth but they have something more important to offer, theirselves.

so please do think about these things. all great guys out there, no matter who or what they are, just need a fighting chance to prove themselves to you. thats all they are asking for but its still up to you, ladies, if you would want to give it to them.

hope this helps.

peace to all.

i want someone who will pick up the phone when i call at an odd hour because i have something important to say. i want him to be ready to listen because i wouldn't bother talking about it if i weren't occupied with it, whatever it is. i want someone who will remind me that i am loved and thought of especially when i'm busy and drowning in work and am about to scream my head off from stress. i want a simple message to tell me, hello, hey, i'm here. i want him to tell me the truth even if it will hurt but also buffer it with a hug to make me feel better. i want him to be jealous of other men but not overpoweringly so. i want him to stand his ground when i'm being unreasonable but not brush me off and dismiss me like a spoiled brat.

i want someone who can talk to me with his eyes. i want someone i don't need to explain things to because he just gets me. i want someone who'll be on my side when i need a pep squad. i want someone who will be relentless if i need encouragement. i want someone who has a life of his own but wants me to share it with him. i want someone who won't ask me to sacrifice anything for him because he's content with what i have to give. i want someone who will be grateful if i do decide to sacrifice something and not think he's entitled to it.

i want someone who wants me. after all, that's where it all starts, doesn't it?

ha...this sums it all up....i believe there is someone just like this waiting for each and every one of us...maybe a little patience...and a lot of faith will help us find that person... :thumbsupsmiley:

  • 2 weeks later...

these are the basics:

somebody who loves me unconditionally and who knows what's wrong with one look at me and knows, without me having to tell him, what he has to do when i need him...

but then again, i think women generally dont know what they want. when we meet "the one" all the standards we've had in mind since we started to notice boys are forgotten and our basis of our standards becomes the description of the guy who we love...
