brawler201
Pacquiao's management team's skill will now be put to a test as they jockey to get the best possible deal for the third installment of the Pacquiao-Morales trilogy. This is probably one of the best fights this year in terms of draw with only the forthcoming fight between Pretty Boy Mayweather and Wrinky Wright as the only other fight that could possibly crowd it at the top in terms of viewers. By this reason, the fight merits top money with a good chunk of it going to the main draw which is Pacquiao. The Mayweather - Wright guarantees $ 10M to the fighters ($ 6M to Mayweather) plus PPV shares. I hope they can get a deal that is commensurate to the quality of fight that Pacquaio and Morales will dish out. Manny should at least get somewhere north of $ 3M and a 60% of the PPV shares going to the boxers. Quote Link to comment

fatso8
anong weight nila? 130lbs ulit or 135lbs? kung 130lbs, Pacquiao panalo.. kung tataas ng weight, I dunno kung kaya nya ulit patumbahin si Morales. Ano sa tingin nyo? Quote Link to comment
coldfussion
sabi ni freddir roach yung best division kay manny ay 126lbs. kaya lang sya pumunta sa 130 para makalaban si morales. kaya kung hindi sila sa 130lbs mag lalaban malamang di matuloy yung rubber match nila... Quote Link to comment

papable
RUBBER MATCH - "A 'rubber match' or 'rubber game' or simply 'rubber' in any sport means a deciding contest between two tied opponents. The term dates back to the late 16th century but no one seems certain of its etymology or in what sport it originated. The expression was not used in card games until the mid 18th century and the earliest recorded use of it appears to be a 1599 reference, cited in the 'Oxford English Dictionary,' to the game of bowls. The word 'rubber' in the term seems to derive from a word of unknown origin, not the resilient substance called 'rubber' or the verb 'to rub.'" From "Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins" by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 1997). Quote Link to comment
