i remember yung mga karitella na un... Dun kmi sumasakay ng nanay papuntang palengke ng Blumentritt via Maceda St. sa sampaloc..

Ayus, ganda talaga ng view dati, I could still remember the fresh sea breeze coming from Manila Bay nung Early 80's, di tulad ngayun na iba ang malalanghap mo ngayun pag tambay ka sa Baywalk, not to mention yung makikita mong floating debris na galing sa Pasig.....

your pictures brought me back the good old times and good memories of my childhood that i would not trade with the generations today. I remember just before the Marcoses built the cultural center in Dewey boulevard, my tatay would bring me to manila bay to gather seashells and buy fresh fish from the fisherman that are coming back from their night fishing.

do you recall the place where they sell hotdogs on a bun with bottled Magnolia dairy products ?

as kids, we always look forward to these treats after taking a short jog around Luneta Park...

ahhh...I wish I could go back and relish those times again

unfortunately, wala na yung show dun, ala na COD eh, PureGold na siya ngayon...pero yung same puppet creators na nandun sa COD dati lumipat sa Greenhills, dun na sila nagso-show....2 pasko na ang nakaraan na andun sila

i was relocated far south that's why i'm not quite up to date these past few years....

 

i recently learned (about a year ago) that COD closed shop and was replaced by PureGold...
