The Buyer
If you suspect yourself of having a STD...where do you get your doctor? Would it be a good idea going to the major hospitals and getting a doctor for infectious disease...or go to the doctors who "specialize" in STDs...like the ones posted in the newspapers...but has very questionable addresses...what's your inputs? taz31
^ i think ur better off consulting at a hospital's outpatient department. consult a urologist (specializes in diseases of the urogenital tract). merry christmas! Quote Link to comment

sprakendoitz
Help! Need immediate advice!. How does one treat external genital warts? Any OTC drug that i can avail sa mercury drug? Million thanks! Sprakendoitz MD here, You cant just treat genital warts on your own.. i recommend consulting a dermatologist.. Genital warts are very tough to treat.. theres no easy medicine you can take to make it go away.. a derma could have it cauterized "or burned off in a manner of speaking".. using electro-cautery or "Frozen off" using cryotherapy.. or alternatively she can teach you how to apply salycilic acid on the warts daily that will cause it to regress over a period of 4-8 weeks.. there's a new treatment you can see in malls where they offer this expensive treatment that will get rid of warts fast, i think they apply this extract from the cashew nut that will irritate tissue causing it to regress or "burn off".. they're made studies in UP and they say it is effective.. i dont recommend applying these things on yourself without a dermatologist first demonstrating and guiding you on the treatment.. hope that helped Quote Link to comment

Would it be a good idea going to the major hospitals and getting a doctor for infectious disease...or go to the doctors who "specialize" in STDs...like the ones posted in the newspapers...but has very questionable addresses...what's your inputs? STD's are very easy to treat and easily recognizable.. you dont have to find a urologist.. you can go to any Family Medicine specialist, any internist, even General practitioners.. they would all prescribe and administer the same treatment.. or you can even go to ER's of private hospitals, there you can get lab results quick and get the treatment (injection) administered quickly.. the standard treatment of "tulo" or gonorrhea is CEFTRIAXONE - one dose, intramuscularly (injection)DOXYCYCLINE - tablet, taken for 7 days now there are other alternative antibiotics that can be given, but i dont want to mention them because it encourages people to self medicate (which could have disastrous results if a disease is not treated properly). you must consult a doctor first.. Hope that helps Quote Link to comment
sprakendoitz
Clarificatory and follow up lang pls...even the girl can get std from unprotected oral sex (assuming it is the guy who has it)? This question is purely to satisfy my curiousity hehe i dont think a girl can get GENITAL (sex organ) STD from unprotected ORAL SEX with a guy.. but she can have ORAL STD. yes, there is oral STD's like Herpes which you can get from the GENITALS.. there is even such a thing as GONORRHEA OF THE MOUTH AND THROAT.. a girl can also get AIDS and Hepatitis from ORAL SEX.. although this is uncommon.. sprakendoitz
I have a FUBU.........We've been doing it for the past few weeks....... My number 1 rule is NEVER HAVE SEX WITHOUT PROTECTION....... But when she performs oral sex sa akin.........Wala akong protection(BBBJ gnagawa niya) For the past few weeks I've been having this burning sensation while urinating........Hindi naman sobrang hirap.........minsan nga nawawala pa.......Pero I consulted one of my friends who happens to be a doctor. Sabi niya uminom lang daw ako ng anti-biotic.......I asked him kung anong anti biotic.......sabi niya pwede na daw yung Inoflox. So I followed him.......bought the drug and took it for about 5 days...... Nawala naman........But sometimes meron pa ring konti Wala naman siyang discharge of any colored fluid....... Medyo mainit lang minsan kapag nag uurinate ako.......sometimes may konting sakit din paminsan-minsan........But its very bearable naman I'm about to see a doctor again in a few days....... Any suggestions? Thanks guys best advice: see your doctor agad.. you dont know what you have, kung TULO (GONORRHEA) ito or UTI (Urinary Tract Infection)... kasi kung INOFLOX lang ininom mo eh kulang ito para sa GONORRHEA/CHLAMYDIA it should have been combined with AZITHROMYCIN.. pero please dont self medicate.. See a doctor first para malaman kung GONORRHEA ba talaga ito or UTI.. you can have kidney damage or sterility if you let an untreated infection go unchecked.. SPRAKENDOITZ MD Quote Link to comment
jerzz
Question to All the Doctors in the House Wala bang Natural Healing Capabilities ang katawan natin to combat this S.T.D. Virus or U.T.I.? Do we really need to take this antibiotics para mawala or mapatay itong mga bacteria? Hindi ba ito kayang patayin ng katawan natin on its own? Quote Link to comment
taz31
^good question yes our body has its immune system to fight off the organisms that enters our body and causes disease. However, some forms of organisms like bacteria that causes STDs are numerous and multiply rapidly kaya minsan na o-overwhelm ang immune system natin and it cannot fight the organisms on its own. That's where your antibiotics come into the picture, para matulungan ang natural defenses ng ating katawan na mas mabilis labanan ang infection. Another reason why we should take antibiotics is to prevent disseminated infection or the spread of bacteria to to other parts of your body. Kapag di kasi nag take ng meds, pwedeng kumalat yung infection mo and mas mahirap na syang i- control. Hope this enlightens you! Quote Link to comment

jerzz
CEFTRIAXONE - one dose, intramuscularly (injection)DOXYCYCLINE - tablet, taken for 7 days For our members on budget, magkano magagastos natin para dito? May cases ba na more than 1 dose ng injection ang kailangan and/or lagpas ng 7 days yung tablet? Edited January 12, 2007 by jerzz Quote Link to comment

Silverback_01
There are many different factors that can affect transmission of any disease, including STD's (sexually trasmitted diseases). Without going into too much technical details, the short answer to your question is YES. All kinds of STD's can indeed by transmitted via unprotected oral sex. The risk is somewhat lower, but the risk is there, nonetheless. HI Sirs and Doctors, What diseases can you get from unprotected Oral sex? If the guy lets his partner give him a Blow job..what possible STD can the Guy get?..and what is it for the Girl? If the other way around..what can the Guy get if he gives his partner a cunninglus?..and what can the girl get? sorry kung complicated yung question..super curious lang po..tnx Quote Link to comment

SPRAKENDOITZ Salamat yan din alam ko eh, i remember nung 1990s halos lahat ng barkada ko na infect P350 lang yata yang ceftriaxone at yung barkada din naming doctor taga inject so libre na. Nagtataka ako dito sa isa kong kaibigan, 2 beses daw tinurukan tapos siningil siya P4500/injection bale P9k. Hmmm may foul play kaya duon or nataga lang talaga? di kasi siya nag mtc eh hehehe Edited January 13, 2007 by jerzz Quote Link to comment
