    Day, hindi magkatugma, dahil ang F4 concert ay 21st century na!  I will reserve my flowing florals for the next 70's EB kasi mas maapreciate ninyo yun! 

     

    Never had as much fun in a long time!  Thanks to all !!  That EB last Sat. was just a dry run.  The next EB should be complete with costumes na!  And we'll need that head of cabbage na may nakatusok na toothpicks with hotdogs and cheese, dagdagan pa natin ng multi-colored marshmallows!

    Liberty... on the next EB... we will wear either of two.... A Floral CAFTAN .. or a Floral MUMU. Since very prgressive ka naman sa fashion (imagine that purchase in Blue Magic still IN in the 21st century) ikaw ang pumili.. game ako. :P :P

     

    After that recollection, I now value and respect the Cabbage more for all the wonderful memories it has given me :)

    Wow kainggit naman! Anyways I'm happy for you guys and looking forward to see you all at my debut exhibit. Cheers to the 70s peeps!!!!

     

    While on our way to Malabon, my kids inserted the Hagibis, Hotdog and VST CD. We love most KATAWAN by Hagibis featuring the great Mike Hanopol on lead vocals. I find it as the best Pinoy Disco music of all time. :thumbsupsmiley:

     

    STORM... and to think ikaw itong mod NG 70'S... at nag pasimuno ng EB :) :)

     

    You wouldnt believe the music that was playing the whole night. Time Warp talaga!!!

    Thanks a lot, Ms. Augustmoon.  Apparently you folks had a wonderful time.  But really, just four wine bottles?  I can drink a single bottle in less than an hour if I'm in the mood and there's some pasta (vegetarian) around.  But I don't usually drink wine because it's expensive and I can really drain a bottle quite fast (basta hindi sweet).  I'd rather go with scotch, brandy, and/or vodka.  And when all else fails, there's always SML.

     

    This reminds me of the old "Alak Pa" thread.

     

    For the record JT... despite being surrounded by wine afficionados, ako lang ang nag SNL - the only one in the group... dapat next time nanadoon ka... hirap maki-toast sa naka wine glass. :) kaya tama si Masi, AKO lang ang nalasing... d ako puede sa wine thread, barok kasi :blink:

     

    Slider.. ganyan ang Ulirang Ina.. huling natutulog, unang nagigising :) bumawi nalang sa siesta this afternoon. Cake ulit :)

     

    Thanks Masi for the hospitality. Sayang... kulang ang Casting kagabi. :D :D

    Do any of you remember NICHOLAS STOODLEY Designer pants? (LOcal brand pero imported kuno ang quality) They used to have aboutique in Ali Mall and GoldCrest in the late 70's....

     

    And for the women...the brand JAZZIE ????....AZABACHE too.

    Bods, my friends and I are scheduled to lunch at OMA this Thurs. Fanatics sila ng Sushi-ya (for their cravings on tight budget) and I told them that your place is better. I am sure we will have a good lunch.

        - Aliwan Komiks, Hiwaga, Darna Komiks, Tagalog Klasiks, Pinoy Komiks, Love Story Komiks, Wakasan Komiks.

        -favorite nobelas then were Anak ni Zuma and Bakekang, 

        -most succesfful writer of he period was the massacre-film direacxtor Carlo J. Caparas ,

     

     

    I miss all those NEWS programs that were all in english !!! ngayon in tagalog na tabloid-ish pa ang pagawa. I bet if there was some sort of competiton - JULIUS BABAO reading news in english cannot hold a candle to HARRY GASSER...

    Yung show ni Ma-an was actually Ms. Ellaneous, yung Lollipop Party naman was with June Kiethly, 60's na yun ah! Tama ba?

     

    Grabe, cno si Cora Adajar?? hahaha

    Teka...si Eddie Peregrina yung parang falsetto ang boses, at si Romy Mallari naman yung malamig ang boses, tama ba?

    D' Sensations....dis is where the action is so come and join the fun!

    Yung mga dancers nasa luob ng hawla...

     

    Slide..I was pretty sure Maan was the host (i don't know lang if June took over eventually)..when I was 5 years old, My Mom took me to Lollipop party (together with my 2 bestfriends and their mothers) and let me/us join Little MS. SHELLANE... :D Sad to say, I was the first one to be eliminated :D :D :grr: Maan was the one who broke my heart :(

    Sta. Zita and Mary Rose was the 70's equivalent of Lovingly Yours, Helen.

     

    Yes, favorite ko yung Lollipop Party, Maan Hontiveros and her mole.

     

    Other loveteams... Isama mo na din si Novo Bono Jr. and Sahlee Quizon.  Sino nga pinartner kay Sajid Khan?

     

    Madam Liberty... Naiisip ko pa lang ang mga matronas (at matron-lets) na nag lalaro nito natatawa na ako..may stamina pa tayo mag-hula. E kung ang dami nga nag-eenrol sa belly at strip dancing hulahoop pa? :D Ewan, ko lang kung kaya noong mga ibang nagpa-tummy-tuck na :D :D

     

    Cat's cradle? parang hindi ko yata nalaro iyon. :)

     

    I remember reading an article on Kislap about the then new loveteam of Sahlee-Pip.. Nanggagalaiti ang mga Noranians...pati daw si Maria Leonora Theresa (yung adopted doll nila ni Pip) nagtatampo at ayaw kumain...Whaaaaattttt?????!!! Crazy talaga :D :D

    Sa OCTOBER 17 !!!!! Sa show mo STORM... para madami ang kasali...at hindi na tayo mahirapan mag-explain ng rules !!!! :P :P Unless...madami rin na mag-"senior moment" doon - physio or in denial :D walang larong mangyayari...

     

    Btw, since may disco yug-yugan na magaganap sa opening mo, siguruhin mo lang na may doktor ha?? in case.. :P

     

    Inihahanda ko na ang pagbukas ng alkansiya at kinausap ko na rin ang mga bata na pahiramin ang xmas fund nila sa amin bakasakaling makabili ng small storm. :) ...in case di pumayag ang explanation namin sa mga bata ay new, and the best "action figure ito" na malapit ng gawan ng movie ng pixar at playing cards Ha! Ha!. Keep the creative juices flowing !!!! :)

    Ako naman I misplaced o may nagnakaw ng X-MEN kong comics na 1-50. Magkano na kaya ngayon iyon? Ayoko ng isipin.

     

    Ang pagkakaalam ko ay wala kang makikitang sneezy para mabuo yung 7 dwarfs.

     

     

    Wonderful idea Storm... a SHATO EB...pero Comedy iyan...Imagine palying with prescriptive glasses ON par makakita...what about counting of the distance...remember you gotta bend to do so. Kaya pa kaya ???? :P

     

    For the girls naman... i propose a GARTER game ( luksong tinik using a garter) :P

     

    Do any of you remember the weekly drama in the '70's "Sta Zita and Mary Rose" ??? May komiks pa nga ito. This program always had a lesson in the end. If I am not mistaken the lead here was Mary Rose Jacinto sister ni RJ.

     

    What about "Lollipop Party" on Channel 5 with Maan Hontiveros?

     

    And the "bakya" sunday program (precursor of "thats entertainment") Santos, Mortiz and associates... doon ang loveteam nila Vi and Bot, Cora Adajar and Eddie Peregrina, Perla Adea and Romy Mallari, Jun Soler and Raquel Montesa at si Dolly Favorito at Walter Navarro. Remember niyo? :D

    Monday na naman ! :(

     

    The 70's Ad i remember most is the SMB Ad "Isang platitong Mani" - Bert Marcelo in the Lead together with all the Filipino sports greats (then)...Flash Elorde etc.

     

    "Yeye" vonnel Ad with the Onrubia Sisters.

     

    The first Close-up commercial with Tetet Limjap (now Crisol) then that of Ana Lorraine Kier (now Tabora).

     

    Backtrack lang ng konti... I also remember the "Put a tiger in your tank" campaign nf Shell ba yon? was one of the first to to Merch tie-ups...when they offered various "tiger products...the most popular one being the Tiger inflatable na ginagamt pang boxing.

     

    And pag Coke dealer ka / Sari-sari store owner, nagbibigay sila ng miniature COKE (24 bottles) in a miniature wooden case. I saw one being sold in this retro shop in Cubao for P 2,000 !!!!!

    The trip was for business. No, hindi kasama si hubby. I am hopeless when it comes to wine and wine appreciation so the Spain experience was more of a Photo - Op..been there thing. Sayang nga. :-)

    Bods, augustmoon...nagkita nanaman tayo sa isang thread! Siguro si Storm andito rin somewhere no?? I like wine but I'm no expert. Can't read a label, and I can't tell one from the other. Hirap kasi i-describe eh, I've read a lot of literature on the subject, even watched Sideways twice ;-)

     

    Hi Sliderule :) ... pakalat-kalat lang ako. I don't kow about the others :)

     

    I am just a wanna-be oinologist. :D To be in this thread is like going to an extensive wine appreciation course, albeit in theory only. I don't drink wine. I am barbaric when it comes to alcohol. Beer lang, tequila sometimes depending on the mood.

     

    I admire the people here Bods..Masi..Spurt...etc, they know so much about wine and you can learn from them. I was lucky to have been at the ALIMENTARIA in Barcelona (the biggest Food and Wine Convention in Europe) in 2001, I even visited several vineyards in Seville and Jerez but i never got to appreciate wine. Woe is me. :(

    mga broadvise naman meron ako lupa sa Cavite Silang near tagaytay may taniman ng kape( batangas coffee )  about 500plus sq meters..panu ko kaya maiimamarket yun? any strategies? tips? kase syanag naman yun di ba pag hindi mabenta yung iba pinamimigay na lang advise naman diyan  :)

     

    I know of some people who market / sell their coffee produce to a cooperative. Ask around. Good luck.
