Money and belts, in that particular order,  will be Manny's main motivation for his next fights.  There's probably enough of both for Pacquaio to tango once again with Marquez.  If Manny continues on improving the new skills that he unleashed for the Morales fight, Marquez will be easy pickings.  I hope the fight is held in Manila.  It's not too far fetched as Marquez will already fight in this parts as he is scheduled to fight in Indonesia this coming March.  Let hope further that Marquez doesn't get tripped in his South East Asian debut as I  really want Manny to have a chance at making Asian boxing history by going afte Marquez's featherweight crown and claim his third title in as many weight categories.

The first gentleman whispering sweet nothings to his wife on national television almost made me vomit. Chavit Singson bragging about his bet ( 20 million pesos daw) while the poor ilocano tobacco farmers continue to languish in poverty is distasteful. The guy should be in prison together with his former pal ERAP for god's sake!!! and yet ... there he was enjoying his stay in a 5 star hotel in the company of many other corrupt politicos. While people are busy in anticipation of this "battle", Shell and the rest of the oil companies increased prices of petrolium products whis is another blow to Juan Dela Cruz   . While enjoying the euphoria of "winning" a DH abroad ( which by the way are the real heroes of this great nation) is about to be beheaded and his father cant get there because according to DFA, we have no money!!!! How ironic!!! Senator Lapid and almost half of congress have the gull to spend an enormous amount of money to watch the fight and yet our government cannot provide a round trip ticket to a grieving OCW father. :thumbsdownsmiley: The domination of media mogul ABS-CBN stopping other smaller networks and media outlets of what is supposed to be a "fight for our nation" is another example of class A1 injustice.

 

But the saddest thing is that the Pacman is not only the willing victim of this hypocracy....but the main player. To me , his statement about he fought first and foremost for the country is hypocracy at its highest form. His call for unity is as bullshit as they come.Tell it to the marines pacman boy!!! If he is really after the unity of our people, he should not have given ABS-CBN exclusive rights to his fight because that alone has caused a massive divisiveness. first of all, how should we define or measure GREATEST? im a MJ admirer since his rookie days (i just recently lost my very dear magazine featuring that rookie MJ), but im not a blind worshipper.  To say MJ is the most famous sports figure this side of Muhammad Ali no brainer; but to say the he's THE GREATEST EVER to play the sport James Naismith invented is somehow giving injustice to Bill Russel's 11 rings, to Abdul Jabbar's total career points, to Stockton's career total assists, to Kobe's recent 81 points, to whoever whatever their career records and stats they possess.

 

Greatest Ever?, just my opinion, it's better to say most famous ever.  It's the media, yes, that dollar-hungry media that made Jordan the greatest.  they are the one who made MJ the ultimate immortal hero in that fairy land called NBA.  Why not? No player in sports have brought much money to the league, to nbc, tnt, espn, nike, gatorade other than the great MJ.  then pres. clinton even admitted that jordan had contributed more than him benefitting the economy of america.  To say that it was Jordan who bring the NBA to a more higher level of popularity in international level is understatement.  The name Michael Jordan is even more famous than NBA, Chicago Bulls, Nike, and other things related to him.  There are even some issues about MJ's "divinity".
