actually chief hindi naman talaga manakit ang mga ginagawa dati nina cabatu, gonzalgo, ong pati na din si locsin. pinaparamdam lang nila na nandun yung depensa. sabi nga nila "let them feel your defense". ang problema kasi sa ginebra ngayon malamya ang depensa. slaughter cannot even dominate sa laki niyang yan. simpleng layup pinababayaan na lang. kay jawo noon, no easy baskets. if only ginebra can replicate the tough and rugged defense instilled by the big "j" in his group before, mas marami pa sanang papahirapan ito. kaso hindi yata yan ang style ng depensa ni tim cone.

if there is any team in the pba that come back from a 0-2 deficit, it is ginebra. ginebra did it to TnT before...one game at a time at yung adjustments specially on the defensive end. starting game 3, ginebra should bring their A-game. everybody should be focused and determined to win. anything less would be disastrous. talagang sa taniman ng ampalaya tayo pupulutin.For me si Greg yung missing link sa Ginebra. Usually positions himself in the high post, pag kuha niya ng bola either look to pass siya ng hand off o kaya pull up siya from 15.
Sa rebounds naman hindi siya fully maaasahan. minsan outhustled pa palaga since he is slow. Wala siyang legit post move.
Brownlee is really good but matchup problem talaga si Jones.
Mahirap din humabol ng 0-2 but who knows, Ginebra yan. tiwala lang and NSD.

Yes... most probably dahil alam nila na mahina sa close out sa 3s ang gins...
I know tim is one of the greatest mind sa basketball, pero siguro he should abandon yung zone pag nakakapasok na ng 3s and abandon his 3-guard rotation...keep it as an option ...
Sa next game, i suggest to use raymond and prince alternately or match up ke tj at troy...
Siguro first 5 nya should be la, jbl, japeth, prince and greg... kung di gumana si greg, use jdv...
Pamalit stan, raymond and aljon... sorry but i can't see scottie fitting in right now because limited ang opensa nya...

Tnt has ginebra's number lalo na pag di gumagana si greg! The gins weakness is also its strength in jbl... the smaller import...
chief, since the elims, this is what TnT has been doing. nung elims against TnT, niyari tayo ni pogoy. semis game 1, it was the turn of rosario and semerad. game 2, it was castro and heruelas. kung walang adjustments, sino kaya ang susunod? as what dickel said, everybody is licensed to shoot. at yung hesitation ng ginebra na tumira...dribble...pasa...resulta? agaw!!! well, TnT needs 3 wins. 3 straight Ws? it's gonna be an uphill climb...pero bilog ang bola. one game at a time and it starts with game 3...and with the necessary adjustments.

Maganda talaga yung depensa ng TNT, hirap si Brownlee at Stan. Sabayan pa din ni Coach Tim ng walang kamatayang 3 guard combo...mahihirapan talaga madepend yung 3's ng TNT...Malalaki yung shooters ng TNT so disadvantage sa Ginkings kahit sino sa tatlong guard ang pumik-up kay Pogoy o Rosario. Namayani si Troy sa ilalim at magaganda pasa ni TJ.
Also yung JDV and the rest of the team kanina...maraming pagkakataon na ititira na lang pinapasa pa...ayun tuloy na aagaw.

Bawi na lang sa game 3 and then one game at a time uli tayo.

Until gsm play tnt's 3 ball well enough, it will be a sweep... they should play man-to-man not zone d... palagi na lang ganyan kasi tim's philosophy is you can beat him with a 3 ball but not with a lay up
seems like everybody in the TnT lineup is licensed to shoot the 3s...kahit na yung taha tumitira sa tres. i thought coach tim learned his lesson when pogoy hit the lights out during the elims. in the 1st game of the semis, it was rosario and semerad. kanina naman, halos lahat nag contribute sa tres. unless and until the 3s will be well defended, i don't see ginebra winning this series.

malamya ang depensa...still no defense on the 3s...a lot of drop passes that resulted to TnT easy baskets. sloppy basketball. yung 7 footer wala talaga. ang samang panoorin. yes TnT simply outplayed ginebra. if this is the kind of basketball ginebra will show us, malamang walis ang kalalabasan.

coach tim can't seem to get something out of greg. since the elims, greg has been the missing link. semis na wala pa din mapiga. also, TnT has been killing the ginkings with 3s. nung elims si pogoy...kagabi si rosario at semerad. lots of adjustments on the defensive end are needed.

No. I'd rather see a very good match up between the Ginkings vs TNT (with all due respect to Alaska of course).
The last time Gins and TNT meet in the Elims;Pogoy was red hot from beyond the arc, lets see if he can replicate it.
I would like to see a Jayson Castro and a Stanley Pringle Match-up, mano-a-mano.
aces up by 10 at the half against TnT. alaska seems to be the more dangerous team at this point. simpson is a workhorse of an import...not flashy but effective. and if the guards of alaska (enciso, casio & banchero) continue to compliment their import, with some fine backup plays from manuel, racal and thoss, may tulog ang TnT...at kung aces nga ang makalaban ng ginkings, it's not going to be a walk in the park. but yes, it's nice to watch a castro - pringle match-up, if ever. that will be one slambang confrontation. i'm sure coach tim and his coaching staff are watching this alaska vs. TnT game right now.

Will it be Alaska or TnT? Kahit sino diyan. kaya ng ginebra yan. The way I see it, Ginebra is peaking at the right time. Stanley is slowly adjusting to the system. Vintage MC47...clearly his best game of the conference. DEFEND THE CROWN!!!

Mas maganda kung sa finals na lang sila magharap. Mangyari lang yan kung matalo Magnolia sa TNT at manalo San Miguel sa Meralco then Magnolia end up as 7th seed. Dun na magiiba ang bracket sa playoffs. 1997 All Filipino Cup kasi ang last finals face off nila at wala pang bansag noon na Manila Clasico..
sabi nga ni coach tim, let the chips fall where they may be. ang importante ginebra has quaified for the QF round. i know this is going to be payback time.

true chief. i think the front office of LA is confident of having kawhi sign on the dotted line kaya di sila gumagalaw. by the time they realize that they could not sign kawhi, even the likes of danny green would have been signed. come to think of it, package deal kaya sina kawhi and danny green. seems like wherever kawhi goes same goes with green. mukhang naghihintay yata si green kung saan pipirma si kawhi.

They will probably trade Dlo when Klay is 100%. It doesn't make sense to keep 3 max superstar guards.

Keeping Butler to make a run again in the East would have been the right thing to do but replacing him with Al Horford is a wise decision. Horford is a high-character guy with a high basketball IQ.

agree!!! triple-A game ang kailangan. but this breakthrough win was a really confidence booster. slaughter must dominate!!! that 7-foot frame must be a monster in defense and no. 1 rim protector. marami pa din easy put backs ang TnT. at least yung mga close out sa 3s nakita na natin.
