Do you have Advantix in the Phils? It's a topical liquid, applied on the back between the shoulders. That's what I use; it not only keeps away fleas and ticks, it stops mosquitos too.

 

I've also read that heartworm is endemic in the Phils. You can't give the medicine for that, though, until the vet tests your dog for heartworm.

 

I plan on moving there in a few years, and I certainly will have dogs. Can someone tell me the price of Advantix and Heartguard, or similar medicines, for a medium-sized dog? (pack of 6, 25-50 lbs)

dude, i think meron dito wala lang ako idea kung magkano. Spot-on yung type na sinasabi mo na liquid na nilalagay between the shoulder bones of your doggy diba? Yung Revoultion na brand ang gamit ko na spot-on meron din syang againts heartworm na disease pero di sya gaun ka effective sa fleas and ticks, iba pa rin yung Frontline pero for ticks and fleas nga lang yung Frontline. 350php yung for 20 lbs and below na weight, 450php yata yung 10kgs to 20kgs naman.

dude, the best talaga ang Fontline when it comes to controlling ticks and fleas. Mahal nga lang dude pero atleast guaranteed ka na flea and tick free sila for a month.
