Oh, I almost forgot the audio capture. I just use the Line-in of the sound card to capture them.

I have a Canon MiniDV and I want to transfer my video records to disc.

How can I transfer my DV cassette to DVD disc using firewire?

I've been trying it for sometime now and it frustrates me always.

I ended up transferring them to VHS.

What kind of program do I need to do such thing.

MiniDV came with program disc but I'm sure about them.

I don't know about Canon DVs, but I use a ViVo (video in video out) graphics card and windows movie maker to capture DV movies. The process is like recording with a VCR. Same way I do for VHS to DVD recording. If my I want to get my short clips from the DV memory card, I just use a card reader to get them.

If you don't have a ViVo graphics card, You can also use TV Tuner cards such as WinFast TV2000 XP Expert to capture the video providing you have the approprite adaptors (RCA-Coax) since most of these cards uses coaxial connectors.

1. 1.6L safe to say 8Km on city driving (auto). Mga 9 naman pag sa mga freeways. Mas mabigat ang karga mas lumalaklak ng gas.

2. 2.0 larger engine etc. 17inch wheels, euro style rear lights, electric power steering, mga sensors, cosmetics na pwede mo rin ilagay sa 1.6. Makina lang talaga ang difference ng 2.0.

3. no discount

4. 105bhp is enough for city driving since hindi ka naman makakapag mabilis dahil sa traffic.

Try mo yung Quicktime 6 and hack and crack it. Open the file you want to convert and use the option "export" or "save as". Tignan mo nalang, di ko na kasi matandaan kung alin dun. :cool:

Guys, a little help.

 

    I often listen to live streaming radio from a radio station dyan s pinas since nasa abroad ako. Ang problem ko eh when I want to listen to the radio station, sa IE lang  sya nag-stream. When I try to use Firefox, ayaw nya mag-play/stream. What can be the cause of this? Kailangan b naka-allow yung cookies or something?

You can use QCD Player - freeware (www.quinnware.com) and download the necessary codecs from the site. Make this your default music player. This is way better than any music player available specially WMP 10.

Then download BoomBox internet radio player - freeware (www.jajsoft.com/products.html) and install.

Boombox internet radio player is like a channel selector for internet radio. Just put on a search for what you would like to stream and select the station. This will automatically launch you default music player and start the streaming. You can also save the channel and record the streams using this app.

It also scans the availabillity of the radio station.

By the way, I've got a LITE ON combo drive. CD-RW/DVD but after a few months of usage, some of my DVD discs which I burnt from my office since I don't have a DVD burner, the LITE ON seems having problems reading it now though they were burnt perfectly without any errors using NERO. They were all datas then now they can't be read and usually hangs up. All I've done was to uninstall and reinstall the LITEON combo then it reads those discs again but then for some reason the next few days, it doesn't read those DVDs again.  Darn!

Well, di ko pa naman na experience yan sa lite-on ko and this is the first time i used lite-on. Nakakainis yang mag un-install re-install ng software.

havent you tried 16X DVDr's?

just cuiorus kasi baka pag 16X DVD gamit mga 5 minutes lang ang isang 2 hour movie..

siguro ang tagal mag burn ng DL, naiisip ko lang at pwede kayang 2 movies in 1 DL DVDr? hehe

Bought it Aug 2005. Costs about P4,200.00 in PC Gilmore. Hanap ka ng mas mataas na specs kaysa sa akin. That was the highest in that time.

When you burn, use a speed that is a step or two from the maximum speed to minimize faults. A little patience in waiting but sure naman na OK yung record mo and kung kaya mo pang mag hintay, mag verify ka ng writen data pagkatapos mag-burn.

Napansin ko lang pag madami akong apps na open tapos nag buburn ako, dun nagkakaroon ng problema pero hindi lahat ng data ang sira.

diba pag DVDr 16x ung max speed?

would  it take like almos same speed as CDR?

just curious lang coz i read somewhere on the net an average 4Gig DVDr single layer movie would take about 10-15 minutes ot burn

 

and does the speed ofo the PC processor speed up the burning process?

mga 12mins yata pag nag bburn ako ng 2hrs Movie from hard hard disk. Yung Disc na ginagamit ko 8X yung max. I don't know if may connection yung Processor sa speed. Ang alam ko yung amount ng data transfer at yung bilis ng recording ang basehan ng speed.

Ito yung specs ng burner ko. Lite-on SOHW 1693s DVD+/-R DL

DVD+/-R = 16X

DVD+/-R DL = 4X

DVD+RW = 8X

DVD-RW = 6X

CD-R = 48X

CD-RW = 24X

but im sure there would be cheap generic DL DVDr's out there that would costs a little more than the single layered ones.. problem with dual layer is it would take too long to burn

sa ngayon, wala pa ako nakikitang generic na DVD-DL. I go for HP (P20 at CDR King Greenhills). Burner, Lite-on ok na. at least yung 1693S model with 2 bezel, dual layer capable na to. :thumbsupsmiley:

I've not tried burning into a DVD-DL but sa standard DVD my katagalan yung pag burn. I use only 6X speed.

DVD+R media is for audio-video recording that can be played by all commercial video player. DVD-R is for anything but some commercial video player may not recognize this type of media. If data for PC, any DVD media type will do.

Dual Layer was made to counter piracy. it can hold 2X the capacity of a standard DVD. Its just like having 2 layers to burn data into. It still costly to buy (P350.00) for a single DVD-DL whilst you can get the same capacity with 2 standard DVDs for the cost of P20.00 each.

pero not all pages,ung iba lang.. pansin ko ung mga secure lang

I have no experience with firefox, been an opera user ever since. Ginagawa ko lang pag ayaw mag open ng mga secure page is i set the opera to be identified as IE6 or sometimes update ako ng opera with java. Yung mga pics na ayaw lumabas, reload lang ako ng page, pag hindi pa rin lumabas maybe wala na yung link o yung file. I also have the option to have the image to be reloaded or viewed. Tsaka naka author mode ako palagi.

Yung microsoft support nung mga lumang versions ng opera ko hindi kaya open only IE6 lang.

Kung may kailangan kang download sa microsoft support, mag search ka lang ng ibang sites na nag-upload ng mga support files ng microsoft at dun mo nalang download.

i have ad-aware updated to the latest version, already ran a scan on my computer but some spyware that was detected was not deleted and cant be deleted... that's why i'm asking if usually saan ko makikita yung mga spyware sa registry.... :cool:

Kaya hindi ma delete kasi in-use. gamitin mo yung task manager - processes and k*ll the application.

then run ad-aware or spybot.

Pag makulit pa rin , Registry cleaner naman ang kailangan mo para matanggal yan sa registry. Ito naman gamit ko dun. Jv16 PowerTools (macecraft.com). Kahit yung trial version nila ok na.

If you know your registry, gamitin mo yung registry manager - starting programs and delete mo yung spyware na yan (k*ll mo muna sa processes ng task manager before mo tangalin sa registry).

Then go to registry cleaner, and delete associated files dun sa spyware. Ingat lang at baka ma-delete mo mga valid files.

Restart mo yung PC and open the task manager - performance. Kung nag- 0 na yung CPU usage mo, maaring ok na ito. Pag hindi pa rin, tignan mo naman yung Processes at tignan mo kung ano gumagamit ng CPU mo. then ulitin mo uli lahat yung steps.

Tapos nun, deep scanning ng ad-aware, spybot and virus scanner to be sure.

Hi! I am having problems with my LiteOn DVD burner...

I use Nero to burn my DVDs. Anyway, when i burn a DVD, it says that it is successful but when i check out the burnt dvd, i cant read or play any files. The funny thing is that when i burn CDs ... its  ok and i can open all the files on the CD.

Do i have to change my DVD burner? or is it my Burner Software?

If its a video you're burning, media should be DVD+R/DVD+RW

Try to remove and reinstall the application and see if it would work fine.

You can also try to read some DVD movies using your writer and see if it can still read it.

Seems like you have an inadequate power supply. Maybe your power supply is giving up its ghost.

Go to the BIOS and check the voltage output

+12V +/- 10%

+ 5V +/-10%

+ 3.3V +/-10%

if your wattage go beyond the threshold, then turn it off and don't use it right now otherwise you will risk damaging some components.

if you can get another powersupply, attach it and test your system if it will work.

If it worked, have it go a stress test using programs such as sisoft sandra, cpu stability test etc.

After 10 minutes of stress test, feel the cpu heatsink (be very careful when doing this) if it is too hot to touch. if not then you're OK.

Also check the capacitors of the motherboard, they should not bulge or leak. If they do, then you have an impending motherboard failure. Just be very careful in doing these things.
