  1. its a beautiful morning

    these glaring sunshine is glowing

my eyes, still sleepy and itching

saw a glimmering light, with your face showing

the colors of the sky, the birds humming

the cool breeze that is so relaxing

its like waking up and seeing you at my side

can this dream of you and me forever be set aside?

ahh, this feeling gives me hope

with breakfast in bed and your arms like a rope

tight hugs and sweet long kisses

pls. take me away from this overdue sadness.

    you are my sunshine.

will your shine in me be forever now?

  2. TENORIO-CAGUIOA IS GINEBRA’S NEW FAST AND FURIOUS

IS Ginebra’s acknowledged leader Mark Caguioa about to have a new “Fast and Furious” partner under new coach Tim Cone? During a recent interview with Radyo Singko’s “Aksyon Sports” last Sunday, Cone named his potential starters of the team and chose Caguioa as part of his starting unit.

For the longest time, Caguioa and fellow guard Jayjay Helterbrand have manned the backcourt with aplomb and eventually earned the popular moniker.

Helterbrand, though, was slowed down by injuries the past few seasons and while he was able to fully recover from it of late, playing time later became an issue for him and Ginebra’s past coaches.

“It would be hard to say at this point, but off the top of my head, the obvious ones would be LA (Tenorio) and (Chris) Ellis as the guards. Mark and Japeth (Aguilar) at the wings and (Greg) Slaughter at center,” revealed Cone.

While Cone made hints about correcting the team’s imbalances specifically in their guard line-up, he might still consider the one-time Most Valuable Player awardee as one of his dependable off-the-bench players.

For one, former Ginebra coach and now Alaska Aces assistant Jeffrey Caraiso believes Helterbrand, despite not being as quick as before, can still be a factor in Cone’s complex system.

“For sure he can still shoot, without a doubt. So I think in regard to just offense, as long as he buys in, I think he’ll be okay,” said Cariaso. “If Jayjay can buy into what we’re doing to the triangle and really trust the offense, he will be able to impart his game to that offense.”

Cariaso, a former player and coaching protégé of Cone, called the shots for Ginebra for two conferences where he tried to instill the triangle system.

To be 100% honest with you, I had mixed signals whether they really bought into the triangle when I was there,” said Cariaso. “You have to give it a chance. You’re used to a certain way, but with the triangle you need patience, you need discipline. You need to be able to read and react.”

Cone, meanwhile, believes the current Ginebra roster will appreciate the triangle only if each one of them will buy into what he would impart, specifically on defense.

“We will be infusing things outside of the triangle to make the transition easy. It’s often times about the right players in the right positions. I think they’ll enjoy it,” said Cone “The biggest key for me though is, are they going to come in everyday and play defense? If they want to win championships they have to do that too.” – Dennis Principe, Manila Standard Today

  3. OT: An Article about MVP Team's kaswapangan (desperation)

THE PBA SHOULD PUT ITS FOOT DOWN ON THE REPORTED TNT-KIA DEAL

The Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters, the flagship team of the MVP Group in the PBA, is on the prowl once again searching for its next victim. And it looks like it has found its target, and a willing one at that.

Still not satisfied after ‘raping’ expansion team Blackwater Elite, the Tropang Texters have now set its sights on the Elite’s batchmate, the KIA Carnival – set to be renamed as the Mahindra Enforcers effective PBA Season 41.

This time though, they’re not only targetting the expansions team’s 2015 first round pick, they’re going after KIA’s 2016 first round pick as well.

Terms of the deal (as reported by SPIN.ph‘s Snow Badua), are as follows: The first part would have TNT sending Kevin Alas to KIA for the latter’s 2015 1st round draft pick. KIA would then send Alas over to the NLEX Road Warriors for Aldrech Ramos and possibly Jonas Villanueva. The second part is just a straight swap between Ranidel de Ocampo and KIA’s 2016 first round pick.

Talk ‘N Text would end up with KIA’s 2015 & 2016 first round draft picks, while the expansion team would settle for Aldrech Ramos, Ranidel de Ocampo and possibly Jonas Villanueva.

If you’re thinking that this deal is just plain *bullshit*, don’t worry because you’re not alone.

Why would KIA throw away the chance to have Troy Rosario and Keifer Ravena on their team? Same reason as to why Blackwater threw away its opportunity to bag Moala Tautuaa. For the love of money, plain and simple.

The TNT-KIA deal doesn’t actually look as bad as it sounds, especially when you consider the Moala Tautuaa for Larry Rodriguez scam that the Tropang Texters just pulled off. But the point of the matter is, why would KIA do it in the first place? They don’t need it! The 2015 and 2016 PBA Rookie Draft classes are bound to be rich and oozing with talent, perfect building blocks for the expansion teams who were unable to get concessions upon their entry to the big league. This should have been the start of their uphill climb towards competitiveness.

Between the two expansion teams, it was KIA who had a promising rookie season. No thanks to the presence of Manny Pacquiao and their choice of imports. But they have to drastically improve their roster if they want to finish higher in the standings. And it should start now, with the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft. Forget about Alas, Troy Rosario is definitely more promising and could make an immediate impact on a team full of discards. Forget about Ranidel as well, Keifer is a rare breed of talent and signing him is comparable to winning the P150 million lottery.

Going back to Blackwater. If they were really serious (as claimed by the owner) in their intention of forming a fighting team for next season, then they shouldn’t have traded their first pick in the 2015 PBA Rookie Draft. Any person with common sense would know that. No amount of explaining from Dioceldo Sy will cut it, that deal with TNT is tainted with money and/or business no matter what angle you look at it. It wasn’t a trade between two basketball teams, it was a deal between two shady business groups.

And guess what, just recently the Blackwater team owner came up with a statement (published in InterAksyon.com) saying “The PBA should allow Blackwater and Kia to strengthen their team muna. Otherwise, too much lopsided games will k*ll the PBA.” Wow! Really? My initial reaction was, is this guy high on drugs? You just ‘gave’ away your very valuable first round pick and you have the nerve to come up with that a statement like that. Are you mentally sick or what?

Anyway, for reasons only the PBA know, that deal was approved no matter how stupid and lopsided it was, end of story. Not! The ‘desperate’ team is back and is now salivating over the other expansion team’s ‘assets’.

As fans we all know that there’s nothing we could do once these giant PBA corporations go inside their boardrooms and talk business. After all, gone are the days when PBA teams are average companies just wanting to promote the sport of basketball through the PBA. Now, its top companies wanting to promote their products and services through the PBA, with sports just as a mere backdrop.

The PBA should stop this reported TNT-KIA blockbuster deal from ever happening. If ever it pushes through and trade papers have been submitted, Commissioner Salud should veto it. KIA obviously doesn’t need it, so did Blackwater but we can’t do anything about it anymore. But we can still save KIA, and we can still protect the integrity and credibility of the PBA (well, if ever it has any left).

This is not good for the league, anyway you look at it. It will benefit one group alone, and leave the other in the dark. The PBA should save the expansion teams from themselves, and put the greedy ones in their proper place. – Alvin Fadul

  4. Ginebra guard LA Tenorio begs off from Gilas pool citing fatigue, poor form
    Read more at http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news/la-tenorio-begs-off-from-joining-gilas-team-t#sOKcosRdvt3twmmU.99

If this is for the good of the team and the country - i support you.

“One factor that came out is `yung dire-diretso `yung paglalaro ko. Yung fatigue factor, hindi na rin naman ako bumabata,” said the 31-year-old Tenorio during the same interview.

Tenorio has not had a major break during the off season since being named as part of Gilas in 2012 when it won the Jones Cup. A year later, he saw action for the team in the Fiba-Asia tilt held here in Manila, and then went on to suit up in the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain.

At the same time, Tenorio also stressed he won’t be fair to Ginebra if he plays for Gilas and then see action for the Kings not 100 percent prepare for the new season.

“Pag bumalik naman ako sa Ginebra, October na, start na ng season. Baka hindi na rin naman ako magin effective sa team, so in the end, sila (Kings) naman ang masa-sacrifice,” the veteran point guard out of Ateneo added.

  5. Tim Cone anoints Slaughter-Aguilar frontline tandem as Ginebra's new go-to-guys

“Two bigs who are going to be the strength of your team because of their age, uncommon size, and athleticism, so you really have to take advantage of them,” Cone said of the 6-11 Slaughter and the 6-foot-9 Aguilar.

about time someone with the knowledge to really use and maximize their talents.

  7. In my opinion, yung creation ng JL to be introduced sa BvS is masyadong minadali or hilaw pa.. Man Of Steel doesn't even came close to the box office earnings of any of Nolan's Bat Trilogy. Instead of making a sequel, they opted to make a superhero group agad agad in the Man of Steel's expense. Maybe because their movies are darker and not child friendly like Avengers or Marvel movies were.

If they want to reach the Billion dollar mark like Marvel did, they need to lessen the dark tones and add some more humor. Iron Man 3 is the single titular superhero movie to reach the 1B mark. I dont think DC can top that with a single superhero movie anytime soon.

That is Why GoG and Antman is so successful, their stories were light and they inject humor in between action sequences.

  8.

Abueva is a game changer, pero not too much of a necessity para sa Ginebra. Cone can work with the pieces he has right now, thank you very much. Although, is a Dave Marcelo + Dorian Pena = Abueva offer good for the Aces? Lolz.

hahaha.. parang lugi, isama pa natin si Knuttel.. ayan 3 players na yan ha! :D :P

  9. Flash is also a nice tv adaptation from the comic books....i like him better than arrow....season 2 should be very very interesting...now with zoom confirmed as the main villain...hoping to see more of firestorm too and of course gorilla grodd...would have wanted grant to be flash in the big screen..alongside cavill, affleck, gadot and tautaa...er momoa...hehehe...sadly warner chose ezra to be the bigscreen flash....

Supergirl looks fun...not flash fun ..but serviceable fun from a dc fan perspective....

    But...BvS FTW!!!

    Im tired of wolverine...

Agree also that daredevil is ok....now with elektra and punisher confirmed..plus bullseye too....itll be one of the must watch(highly anticipated) netflix series ever...

and whats good about DD is that the dynamics are very different from the MCU.. Netflix series are darker, more creepy and bolder..

I really like how they introduce Wilson Fisk as well as the dialogues and the fight scenes.

The flash is the no.1 superhero show on TV that's why nagkaron ng Legends of Tomorrow...

Barry's new suit is already view-able online and the inclusion of wally west as the 3rd flash will make the series more entertaining and expandable

    talk about geeks/nerds bro.. haha

  10. greg or japeth for abueva? hehehe libre naman mangarap si uytengsu eh

and whoever wants abueva in his team?...this guy's a walking timebomb!

Maybe as stated, the company's image and values are not aligned with his antics that's why they are shopping him. Bukod pa dun yung nagastos nila dahil sa mga multa.. hehe..

Sa ROS na lang sya mas bagay sya dun magsama sama na ang mga sanggano. :P

Now that coach tim is in GSM, I think we can be champions without him tho he is a proven game changer.
