  1. IMHO, I think the only solution is to totally make the Gilas Team Independent.

    Here are some suggestions:

    > SBP Pres. MVP to resign and be replaced by someone not associated in any PBA teams (Joe Lipa, Mon Fernandez, Jawo?, Chino Trinidad, Andy Jao, etc)

    > Coaching staff and management to be headed by people NOT involved/employed in any of the PBA Teams (Altamirano, Joe Lipa, Andy Jao, etc)

    > Gilas selection comes BEFORE the start of the new PBA season so that affected teams can adjust since may new format ang FIBA starting 2017

    > There should be a Junior/Gilas Cadets who comes from the Collegiate Ranks and pag nasama sa official list, hindi muna pwede mag PBA until matapos ang contract sa Gilas.

    - Meron nang nag volunteer na mag backed financially sa Gilas so walang reason si MVP para itali sa sarili niya ang gastos at pag mamando sa Phil. Basketball.

  2.

I'm also a big fan, but on the contrary I enjoyed the movie.

I watched it with my Bossing and she have no idea whatsoever of the story. Basta there are giants and spiderman squad daw.

Pero she really enjoyed it daw and can't wait for the part 2 this September.

I guess disappointing sya sa mga Otaku, pero at least non-fan were able to appreciate it.

Masyado magiging mahaba ang storya pag nag stick to original materials yun.

wala kang like button sir alex kaya +1 na lang. ;) :P

    totally agree.

  3. ATM:

Ginebra holding unofficial practice at CCF gym. Assistant coach Kirk Collier conducting drills in lieu of Tim Cone.

GILAS pool's Tenorio, Aguilar among attendees along w/ Slaughter, Mercado, Baracael, Ellis, Urbiztondo, Knuttel. Barako's Ababou also here

    - why is ababou in Ginebra's Practice??? hmmm...

  4. so if beau goes to ginebra, sino naman ang kapalit chief?

based on his spin.ph interview, hindi p daw to alam ni coach yeng, at ang hinahanap daw niya ay malaking player na pantapat ke junmar at greg. imposible naman na si greg ang ibigay. Si Marcelo kaya?

  6. Are you happy now?

That all you said was happening,

that I was left there hanging,

that you thank me for letting it go,

that im just so stupid to just know...

    Are you happy now?

That all the memories had faded,

and everything that has happened to you and me are dead,

that you enjoy watching me suffer,

that from now its still you i want to surrender..

    So are you happy now?

That you always use my past to defend your decision,

that i cant do anything but to watch it without a reason,

that your so perfect and true in anything you say and do,

that again to show everyone how bad i am for you...

    Then are you happy now?

That you say ill be ok, ive been here before,

that it doesnt matter to you how i feel and more,

that you just want to end everything, pretend that nothing happened,

that you didnt even try or think what will it be if it ends.

    Finally, are you happy now?

That every thought of you still remain here,

that you stole an important part of me, something so dear,

that im buried with this blinded hope of you and me finally together,

that i will remain dreaming this nightmare of you forever....

    Are you happy now?

  7. I dont know if these are worth our time kasi galing kay dbuzzketball, anyways, im still sharing these series of tweets for some comments and speculation discussion if any.

mukhang eto na nga yung sabi mo bro KK about Marcelo, urbiztondo and Monfort. At nadagdag si Pena sa usapan.

    1. buzzketball @dbuzzketball
Source says gport wanting to get a big man whose name is a filipino fruit.. & another player who used to be a protegee of coach pido. True?
    2. He is rumored he"ll be traded but it seems he will stay bec the coach wants him and will not allow him to be traded. You are safE,____ ____!

    3. It seems really inevitable... pba player I will soon find himself transferred to a new team, but in exchange for whom?

      1 retweet6 favorites
    4. fresh...PBA players J and J will soon find themselves reunited with their college coach who now handles a PBAteam. Negotiations are ongoing

  8. A lot of players (veteran) na mawawalan/pwede mawalan ng Team next season.

Sino kaya ang bagay sa Brgy?

Two-time MVPs among PBA veterans who face losing jobs as talented rookies come in

    Read more at http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/news/15-high-caliber-young-players-expected-for-the#KXe3j1PabZ0IEwPm.99

Two-time MVPs Willie Miller and Danny Ildefonso are among those who face being disenfranchised

With the return of Rabeh Al-Hussaini and the possible acquisition of free agent big man Justin Chua, a former back-up center of coach Norman Black at Ateneo, chances of Ildefonso returning to the Bolts look dimmer
So far, Meralco has not worked on renewals of the contracts of their 11 expirees

Other veterans whose contracts will likely not be renewed by their respective teams are Sunday Salvacion, Paul Artadi and Eddie Laure of Blackwater, Leo Avenido and Rich Alvarez of Kia (now Mahindra Enforcers), and Barako’s Ronnie Matias, Bonbon Custodio and Isaac Holstein.

Don Allado of the Star Hotshots, John Ferriols and Mark Macapagal of Meralco and Ginebra’s Dorian Pena.

  9. I dont know about the rules but how can you trade a player who is not even a part of the roster because he is the manager?

    OnT:

"Trade news. DISCLAIMER: NOT YET 100% sure. May chances pang makuryente.

    ALEX MALLARI TO GINEBRA.
    RR GARCIA TO STAR.
JOSH URBIZTONDO / EMMAN MONFORT TO BARAKO.

    DAVE MARCELO TO NLEX.
    KG CANALETA TO GINEBRA."

Sayang mapapamigay pa si Monfort, kuna ngayon sana nag retire si JJ, baka hindi na siya na trade.

Mas di hamak na efficient pa si Monfort kesa kay JJ.

With Marcelo gone and Pena as the only remaining backup, I think Tim now will go to a big player in the draft, even makuha si Sanggalang, kulang pa rin ng isang big backup.

  10. Here is the complete transcript of the Presentation for #PUSO2019

The Philippine delegation to the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup hosting rights awarding ceremony has finished its final presentation and will undergo a closed door question and answer session before the FIBA panel votes for the candidate country that will become the host.

Here is the transcript of the speeches made by members of the Philippine delegation, which includes Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas president Manuel V. Pangilinan and actor Lou Diamond Phillips.

    Manuel V. Pangilinan:

President Horacio Moratore, Mr Patrick Baumann, my colleagues on the FIBA Central Board, distinguished guests. Good afternoon to all of you. Mabuhay.

In my life, I’ve had the privilege to be part of many momentous occasions. I’ve worked with heads of state and built companies from the ground up. But as I stand here before you today to introduce our bid, I have to say from my heart, this is the proudest day of my life.

Our vision is to make a quantum leap for the World Cup, to sweep not only the Philippines but the world in basketball euphoria as 100 million Filipinos locally and 10 million more Filipinos abroad to bare their love for the sport and ignite that love all over the world.

Simply put, we are people in love with basketball. This is our story.

    Lou Diamond Phillips:

I said ‘Puso’ is the major reason this will be the best FIBA World Cup yet. And now we just have 15 minutes to tell you why.

We’ll tell you about the amazing venues, infrastructure and technical ability we have in place to deliver a flawless World Cup. But operational necessities don’t mean success. Yes, they matter. They have to be there. Rock solid. But they are not the things that will create a true watershed in the history of our game.

Those things alone cannot deliver the quantum leap that our FIBA Basketball World Cup so richly deserves. And that is what we plan to do, What you want to do.

So what is that would make the Philippines hosting 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup so unique? You are going to meet the greatest basketball afns in the world. You’re going to discover why the Philippines provides the perfect environment for this World Cup Something that you can’t manufacture. It’s authentic. It’s very real and it’s like nowhere else.

And most of all, we want to demonstrate why the Philippines hosted World Cup give you, FIBA, a unique opportunity to turn millions of new fans on to our wonderful game.

So let me take you by the hand and show you where I was born. Welcome to the Philippines, a place where wherever we go, you will see what it truly means when an entire country is in love with our game. And how that love becomes essential to a nation that has embraced the power of social media like no other. And we tell ourselves, this is what a FIBA Basketball World Cup is for, an opportunity to amplify our game around the world. This is our chance, your chance, to make that happen.

In the Philippines the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup will be riding on a wave of energy, joy and love, created by the greatest and most connected basketball fans on Earth. Think about what that means. In a world where so much divides us, here’s a spirit that unites us. Welcome us in with smiles, laughter, open arms.

Think what the camera will see wherever it turns. A magical atmosphere in packed arenas. A true celebration of our sport. And I’m not just taling about the people in my country. I’m talking about the millions of Filipinos around the world who will create the biggest basketball conversation on social media that anyone has ever seen.

One nation. One heart. One incredible party.

But don’t think this passion comes without a crystal clear understanding of what’s required operationally. Our country has come of age. We’re emerging as an economic powerhouse in Asia, full of innovation, creativity, know-how. Everyone and everything is united by one desire – to deliver the greatest World Cup ever staged anywhere. A quantum leap for the sport’s showcase event.

So it comes straight from my heart when I say to you: This country is born to host the 2019 FIBA World Cup. And we’re ready. Now.

‘Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F’ Two-Day Grosses Stun At Domestic Box Office

After a highly successful international run, Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F opened in the domestic market in only 894 select theaters and playing only one time a night — at 7 PM and the performance here is as stunning as it was overseas in Japan. On Tuesday and last night, it had collected a whopping $1.97M and Wednesday is said to have drawn in another estimated $1.6M. The movie’s per screen average of more than $2,198 landed it in first place yesterday among all movies. Theater sell outs were reported in major metropolitan areas including New York, Los Angeles and Dallas. They could pull in a similar $1.5M number tonight as well. In fact, this anime picture, on a budget of only $5M, could end up doing $18M to $19M in one week domestically.

It has already grossed $51.6M overseas. It scored the biggest opening in Japan of 2015 and it had some stiff competition with Universal’s Fast & Furious 7 (as it was titled internationally). It was released by Fox in Japan and took No. 1 to mark a 40% higher opening than its predecessor, Dragonball Z: Battle Of Gods in 2013.

Same is happening domestically. Battle of Gods grossed $2.5 million for its entire run. So Resurrection F on its first day took in 67% of that gross in one day.

“This film is a resounding victory on all levels,” said David Wengrod, VP of Theatrical Distribution for FUNimation Entertainment which is distributing. Gen Fukunaga is the founder and president an of the FUNimation which deftly marketed this film to fan boys. As part of that push, it produced a special 15-minute, Dragon Ball Z themed pre-show to play before the film.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F is the second feature from series creator, Akira Toriyama. The animated movie opens in Canada on Thursday, August 6, and will screen in more than 1,000 theaters total during its limited theatrical engagement from August 4 – 12, 2015.

The movie is now the 8th highest anime opening of all time and the first limited event-style theatrical release to crack the box office Top 10. Well done.

  12. China says has stopped reclamation work in South China Sea

    http://news.yahoo.com/kerry-chinas-wang-discuss-south-china-sea-tensions-040713628.html

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday that Beijing had halted land reclamation in the South China Sea, and called on countries in the region to speed up talks on how claimant states should conduct themselves in the disputed waters.

  13. Barako. Dylan to Star. Forgot to mention. =) To quote the reports, CTC is hell bent on fixing the security guard agency issue and has no reason to keep Dorian as he intends to bring Japeth and Greg to their true potentials.

Well good thing for purefoods din ito, additional shooter, kawawa na naman ang BB.. haha..

About time those guards will be reduced, JJ, time is up.

  14. Well, insider report time mga chief.

Cone wants Urbiztondo and Peña out.

Mukhang matutuloy yung rumor escalating out there for JDV being traded to Ginebra, and Mallari and Sanggalang not extending their respective contracts.

Finally some news about the roster.

So meaning for JDV to be traded we need our farm team to participate, sino nmn kaya sa BB ang makakasali??

Mukhang Intal to Star?? and parang hindi acceptable sa trade offer si Josh at Pena, meaning, sa reserve list na sila. Sino kaya ipapamigay ni cone para sa 3 team trade???
