Someone who posts news articles without contributing to the discussion (without even a meaningful comment regarding the article in question) should be considered trolling too, then.

Otherwise this board would be filled with useless news feed instead of constructive discussion.

    parang ganito??

  2. Cs vs. Ws on friday. gandang laban ito. will this be a preview of the nba finals? still early to tell though.

The Cs win their 13 straight game. The starting five all scored in double figures as Cs beat the Nets. The masked man led the Cs in scoring. Marcus Morris had a double-double having 21 and 10, so did Al Horford who has continued playing at an all-star level. The young guns, Jayson and Jaylen, provided excellent fire support with 19 and 14, respectively.

and yet the NBA "so-called experts" still puts the Warriors #1 in the power rankings based on their "smart analytics".

13 straight wins... lets see which team can match and break this through the course of the season.

  3. at nakita din natin ang totoong motibo ni mr. chris ellis. puro siya pa-pogi at gusto lang sumakay sa kasikatan ng ginebra. kaya pala kahit na ilang minuto lang ipasok ni coach tim ayos na sa kanya. at least he can say that he plays (or shall i say he played) for the most popular ballclub in the country.

At wag natin kalimutan, dalawang dating taga BGSM ang nasa coaching staff nila (Dimaunahan at Vince "The Prince" Hizon)

  4. Pards i think kahit i naturalize si mbala di sya eligible sa pba... rule kasi na either pure pinoy or fil foreign lang pwede... pag naturalized, import pa rin ang turing sa kanya parang alex compton... unless of course baguhin ng pba ang rules nya...

onga pala dre i stand corrected thanks for reminding me.

naalala ko nga ung kaso ni compton at most recently si douthit as blackwater import.

So pwede mag PBA as import nga pala si Mbala kahit hindi i naturalized, sa Gilas nga lang pala yung naturalization.

Anyways, NBA scouts are after him after his FIBA stint so maybe after this UAAP season mag NBA D-League sya.

On that kamoteng Ellis issue posted by Sir Photog, this clearly shows na talagang papogi lang ang basketball sa kanya.

  5. Kung puede lang sana. Draft Ben Mbala of DLSU. The guy is an absolute beast. Trade Japeth Aguilar and draft Mbala, The guy is again the MVP this season and he almost singlehandedly destroyed the hated Blue Eagles with 28 points, 19 rebounds, 6 blocks and 6 steals. Never shall we fail! Animo!

hindi Fil-am si Mbla, He needs to be naturalized first.

He is the leading scorer of the cameroonian national team sa last FIBA Afro Basket

  6. Come to think of it...SMB will have a combo problem in the import-laden conference, where fielding JuneMar, Stan, and the import would be not feasible (unless Coach Leo experiments on this combo; Much like BGK bein ineffective fielding Greg, Japhet, and the import together. In effect, JuneMar will most likely have a diminished floor exposure.

i think junmar will still be junmar. the no, 1 option.

The problem now is using arwind santos. Yung minutes nya nababawasan pag may import, pano kaya ngayon na andyan si stan?

maybe kailangan maliit ang kunin nilang import. Kung malaki, Junmar at import ang twin towers, arwind will slide to no.3 and then si stan ang reliever ni Junmar.

For our team, kung hindi si JBL ang kukunin sa comms cup, (baka pwede ulit si harris) we need someone like JBL, but much bigger. Mala Allen Durham ang dating.

  7. Oo nga... well i think cone will not tinker anymore sa line up for this year unless junmar becomes available...

I hope the gins win their afc crown this season

    we have a good chance.

Stan will not be available until the 2nd conf na may import na.

We took them to the finals last year without Greg and with an injured JDV.

How much more this coming season na healthy si Greg at hopefully sol and jdv.

I say we are the team to beat, not the defending champs.

  8.

Hirap humanap ng big man/men nowadays, maybe they ought to take a look at Samige Eman, binitawan na s'ya ng alaska last season pa 'di ba....

    Interesting yan hehehehe

    eman is interesting..

  9. OT

    This is f#&king interesting

GlobalPort fielding offers for Terrence Romeo after star asks for trade, says source

TERRENCE Romeo is on the trading block.

Sources on Tuesday confirmed to SPIN.ph that GlobalPort is fielding offers for its flamboyant star guard after he sought to be traded to another PBA team midway through last season.

The development was first reported by Musong Castillo of the Inquirer.

One such negotiation had the Gilas Pilipinas mainstay going to Meralco for the backcourt pair of Baser Amer and Chris Newsome, but team insiders said the deal has yet to push through.

"Wala pa 'yan," said a GlobalPort insider.

  10. Art is close to returning. He is projected to return on the AFC to improve our SF position.

with JDV, Kfer and Art in the 3rd spot together with Greg, Japhet, LA and Scottie, I say that's a potent 5 man lineup that can give SMB a run for its money.

We still need a big backup to our twin towers. The other aguilar and Jervy as center and PF is too small to have as backup big men.

  11.

I don't like Narvasa either pero ang pinagkaiba ng PBA sa NBA. the players and team owners support the Commissioner.

I just wanna tell them na yung Tautuaa at Rosario nga di nmn pinalagan ng SMC eh..tapos sila iyakin tlga...

Sana di sila magkaayos para walang Gilas at wala muna PBA.. sino kaya magugutom sa kanila?

the players and fans will suffer the most

the most who will suffer is the MVP group.

The SMC group and ALASKA are the remaining pillars of the PBA, kailan lang naman sumali ang MVP camp dyan.

In the end, I think Narvasa will prevail.

All of these chaos is because of that masterful move by Al Francis Chua in getting Stan

  12. Alright just what I predicted they opted for manuel. Another mc47 in the making. They chose manuel over potts, mas consistent scorer kasi. We have a new fast and furious in manuel and scottie, exciting times ahead!

Thanks for all the memories and championships jj. Ano kya plano s kanya ni long hair??

    PH RICE PRODUCTION AT 95%
    OF NATIONAL SUPPLY NEEDS

    By Manny Piñol

I woke up early today to read a very positive report from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) stating that rice production in the first half-year of the administration of President Rody Duterte grew by over 6% supplying 95% of the country's needs.

Actually, I already got an advance information last night when Field Operations officer Chris Morales sent me a link to the same story but as has always been my habit as a former news editor, I waited for a second confirmatory report before I decided to share this with you.

The PSA report covered 2016 which was not really an ideal agricultural year because El Niño ravaged the crop sector in the first half while three typhoons hit Cagayan Valley and the Bicol Region towards the end of the year.

In spite of these calamities, our farmers were able to produce more than the previous year 2015. In fact, the average yield per hectare has already increased from 3.9-metric tons per harvest to 4.38% as of the First Quarter of 2017.

The increased awareness of our farmers in using modern technology like planting outstanding rice varieties especially hybrids contributed greatly to the increase in production.

Policy reforms instituted by the Duterte Administration like providing free irrigation, banning rice importation during peak harvest season, mechanization and easy access credit contributed to the enthusiasm of farmers to produce more.

With God's grace, the Agriculture Department is expecting a better performance for 2017 because the country did not experience devastating typhoons and the rice farmers are almost done with their harvesting.

Technically, at 95% national production and the 850,000-metric tons that we are committed to import under the Minimum Access Volume (MAV) for rice, the Philippines is now rice sufficient.

But we will not stop at 95% because the Agriculture Department is targetting a 100% local production to supply the national requirement.

Next year, 2018, the Agriculture Department will aggressively implement a Hybridization Program which targets 600,000 hectares, solar and small irrigation projects, a national mechanization program to cut post-harvest losses and an easy access financing program to allow farmers to buy better seeds and sufficient farm inputs.

The target is to increase national yield to 6 metric tons per hectare per harvest which would produce enough rice for Filipinos over the next five years.

  14. Good Guide for todays draft

Top-heavy draft? Take a look at the depth chart at each position in this batch of PBA rookie hopefuls
    Read more at http://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/special-reports/how-deep-or-shallow-is-this-years-rookie-draft-take-a-look-at-the-depth-chart-at-each-position#VYZXQJX9QSyeBFU9.99

WITH Christian Standhardinger and Kiefer Ravena hearing their names get called within the first two picks as sure as the sun to rise on Sunday, the mystery starts at No. 3 in the PBA Rookie Draft at Robinsons Place Manila.

After San Miguel Beer and NLEX make their selections with the Nos. 1 and 2 picks, respectively, Blackwater's selection remains a wildcard with the third overall pick.

Once that’s answered, the next question is the depth of this draft class.

Raymar Jose, Jason Perkins, and Jeron Teng are expected to go after Standhardinger and Ravena and round out the Top Five of the first round in what looks like a top-heavy draft.

After that, questions abound on the quality of this year's rookie class.

The picks at the bottom half of the first round, though, are still also good enough to get you players who can make an immediate impact – like Lervin Flores, Robbie Herndon, Rey Nambatac, Davon Potts, Julian Sargent, Sidney Onwubere, and Jett Manuel.

The first three to five picks in the second round can likewise yield serviceable cagers with beanpole Jebb Bulawan, scorer Louie Vigil, and stocky big man Joseph Gabayni expected to lead the

  15. picking 12th and last in the 1st round i hope nandyan pa sina manuel or potts chief. potts should be a good addition given that he is a shooter.

sana nga ser.. yung manuel can be the next caguioa or joseph yeo, tagal na din natin walang slasher sa team aside from MC47. He also plays PG from time to time.

  16. OK guys, now that we have the championship and we can all have a good night sleep for a long while, its time we should talk about tomorrows draft.

    given na top 5 sila;

    > Stanhardinger

    > Ravena

    > Jose

    > Teng

    > Perkins

I hope coach tim set his sights on Davon Potts or Manuel

We need backup PG for LA and SOL (they are not getting any younger)

JJ will retire so we only have Scottie as the legit backup that is why we need to develop replacement for JJ now.

And we still need one more Forward, maybe Sargent??
