Duterte is not claiming that there will be zero corruption. Corruption is already there for generations. He clearly said he will not tolerate corruption, meaning, he will not cover up corrupt activities of government officials even if they are his political allies.

More cases are being uncovered by COA specifically because the present administration do not cover them up.

    agree to this.

ever wondered why COA is soooo ACTIVE now sa tinagal tagal ng existence nila sa mga nagdaang pangulo? Because no one is pressuring them to release such findings.

Because previous admins tend to cover and pressure them and most of the time nasusuhulan.

  2. Update lang mga chief.

After months of recovery, Art Dela Cruz is projected to finally debut for Barangay Ginebra in the upcoming PBA Governor's Cup. As per Dela Cruz and head coach Tim Cone, they are looking into fielding him starting around October.

"Sabi ni Coach [Tim Cone], middle of the conference. My goal is October, second week of October. But my focus right now is rehab nga, and then sabi rin sa akin ni Coach na this time, i-sure mo na 100% ka na. And loaded naman yung team so there's no hurry," said Dela Cruz Sunday afternoon during Ginebra's victory party with fans for their latest championship.

"He's due back maybe in October, but we'll see. We'll play it by ear by that time, we're not gonna push him," added Cone.

Dela Cruz first ruptured his Achilles tendon during a Gilas Pilipinas practice in March 2017. He was still a player of Blackwater Elite then. When he was shipped to Brgy. Ginebra in a trade that involved Chris Ellis, Raymond Aguilar, and Dave Marcelo in August 2017, he re-injured his tendon before he had his Ginebra debut.

It has been 17 months and counting since Dela Cruz last played a game in the PBA.

"Medyo matagal na. Talagang maging patient lang ako, iniisip ko din 'yung long-term eh, hindi lang itong conference na ito," he said.

In those long months, Dela Cruz focused on his injury's rehabilitation and understanding the sophisticated system of Cone's triangle offense.

"Learning na rin yung triangle sa akin. Actually, bago lang ako sa triangle, most of my career is run and gun sa college [san Beda] eh. Ito slow ball kaya maganda rin pag galing ka sa injury, di ka masyadong masusunog," explained the former NCAA star.

Interestingly, the versatile forward is also trying out the point guard role.

"Actually, nagpa-practice na ako tapos ang position na nilalagay sa akin ni Coach, point guard. Ang laking bagay na noong sa college naumpisahan ko na. Pero ngayon, primary na eh. Primary na na point, kaya point going from power forward," said the 6-foot-4 player.

As the Kings still celebrate their latest conquered land now - the Commissioner's Cup, there is no rush for Dela Cruz. After all, Ginebra seems to have long term plans for him in the pipeline.

"After a second Achilles surgery, we do not want to rush him back. He's only 25, so he's got a lot of basketball ahead of him. And I keep telling him: it's not about this conference, it's about the next 8-10 years, that's when we want him for. We want him ready for the next 8-10 years," Cone shared.

This is not a surprise given Cone's high regard on the do-it-all forward. He considers his game as a marriage of Scottie Thompson's and Joe Devance's.

"We were choosing between him [Dela Cruz] and Scottie [Thompson] when he came out of the [2015] draft, and we chose Scottie which was obviously a great pick. But Art was a close second, just because we thought that his skills were very unique, similar to what Scottie does, but in a bigger version," Cone explained.

"Art to me is kind of like the in-between Scottie and Joe, kind of right in between those two guys."

Dela Cruz has so far posted norms of 12.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.7 steals in the PBA.

Aside from Dela Cruz, Cone also targets to line-up new acquisition from Globalport Julian Sargent who is recuperating from a shoulder injury.

wow training to be a point guard. Mukhang the next JDV na talaga looking at the future na tayo.

I hope he makes an immediate impact once reactivated.

  3. Duterte fires 20 military officials over corruption

    http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1020560/duterte-fires-20-military-officials-over-corruption?utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_medium=Social&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1534145332

President Rodrigo Duterte has fired 20 military officials, including top brass of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), over alleged corruption activities such as anomalous and ghost projects at the V. Luna Medical Center in Quezon City, Malacañang said Monday.

Presidential Spokeserson Harry Roque said Duterte has ordered the relief of 20 officials after “it was brought to the President’s attention that alleged corruption activities have been taking place at the V. Luna Medical Center.”

Among the at least 20 officials, Roque has only identified two so far.

“President Duterte has ordered relief and court martial proceedings against top miltiary brass, which includes Brig. Gen. Edwin Leo Torrelavega, Commander of the AFP Heath Service Command (AFPHSC), Col. Antonio Punzalan, Commander of the V. Luna Medical Center, Chiefs of Management and Fiscal Office and the Logistics office of the AFPHSC among others,” he said in a Palace briefing.

The Palace official also said Duterte has since read the report of the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commisiion (PACC) and the AFP.

“Based on the reports, several high ranking officials and employees of the V. Luna Medical Center, Health Service Command of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, undertook anomalous purchases of equipment and engaged in fraudulent transactions, including ghost-purchasing, splitting of contracts to circumvent mandatory bidding processes, and conceiving fictitious suppliers with a total amount of P1,491,570.00,” Roque said.

  4. Complete list of Imports

Next Conference Starts this coming Friday - Aug. 17

Alaska taps NBA veteran Mike Harris to complete cast of PBA imports

    https://www.spin.ph/basketball/pba/alaska-taps-nba-veteran-mike-harris-to-complete-cast-of-pba-imports-a793-20180813

Harris will be joining a stellar cast of imports that also includes Justine Brownlee of newly crowned Commissioner's Cup champion Barangay Ginebra, AZ Reid of San Miguel, Romeo Travis (Magnolia), Mike Glover (TnT Katropa), JNathan Bullock (Rain or Shine), Akeem Wright (Columbian Dyip), Henry Walker (Blackwater), Eugene Phelps (Phoenix), Olu Ashaolu (NLEX), Rashad Woods (NorthPort), and reigning Best Import Allen Durham (Meralco).

  5. Clarkson was a last minute desperate attempt of the MVP camp to redeem themselves.

Kung seryoso talaga sila, they had 4 years to appeal and prepare for that (ASIAN GAMES is held every 4 years), hindi yung buzzer beater attempt lang.

I guess may kinalaman din dito ang Cavs management kasi compare to those 2 players na pinayagan, JC is a much more of a future franchise player than them. The risk is far greater, and marketing aside, China is a huge global market para tablahin ng NBA.

As for the U18 results, well they have reached their goal na makapasok sa WC, Yun lang naman ang main goal ng MVP camp - Global exposure for the team and their corporation.

And CHUP REYES and MVP is surprisingly very quiet on the GILASTOPAINTERS journey. Goes to show what kind of intentions and priorities these two have.

  6. Definitely mababawasan sila this Govs Cup. Jammer Jamito was seen practicing with Meralco. ADLC Jr. will play (daw) starting this Govs Cup.

    Meralco? ngak... sino naman kapalit?

anyways di naman kawalan si Jamito - hehe

This guy ADLC i have been waiting - develop as the next devance.

    Si sargent boss ano balita?

  7.

    :P

  9.

I donot agree with the video. I think it was done in very poor taste.

But that video is not for you or me, or for anybody who already knows what's going on.

It's for people who don't know what Federalism is all about.

People who don't know, nor care to know, about what's going on.

    That's 70% of the population.

It may be Machiavellian on my part,, but hey, her stupid video may have already nudged these people to start noticing the federalism issue.

I can imagine street children dancing the pepe-dede-ralismo moves while going from car to car asking for alms.

yep, noticing federalism.. in a very poor and stupid way...

kaya nga sinasabi ko sayang lang tax ko sa taong to eh.. there are other ways and means to promote that campaign but she resort to her usual slutty antics.

She could have made a more interesting and intelligent presentation to redeem herself, chance na niya sana to prove she is worthy of being a spokesperson for that. But she opted not to.

(sabay banat ng - who says im a patriot? who says im affected? potaenang yan WTF laftrip)

  11. I think you have not considered yet that Mocha is tasked to cater to a certain segment of society.

You don't find her antics relevant because you're not part of that segment.

But nonetheless, she is effective in getting the attention of, and influencing, her assigned segment to support Du30's policies and actions.

yes boss camiar i am well aware of how big her influence is. Thats the problem, you know malaki influence mo, bakit hindi mo sa tama at positive gawin? How low can she get? Even Du30 allies are condemning her, knowing she crossed the line with that video. Enough i enough. Dont tell me you agree with that video too? I know you dont.

Haha! I dont know whether to laugh at you or pity you. Check out my reply to jopoc. I said that that video is shallow. May comprehension problem ka yata. Understand the context of my post before making an imbecilic allegation that I am defending Mocha.

oh cmon mason slake aka james cutter aka whatever too many alternicks guy spare me with your personal attacks. Hindi ako katulad ng mga baguhan na kayang kaya mo i bully o paikutin with your antics. spare me with your moronic replies.

your not defending mocha's video yet here you are so angry with me because of my post that attacks that video of her.

lets say your not defending her but you dont have the balls (meron nga ba) to attack her? seriously? WTF

sino ngayon mukhang imbecile sating 2?

(i see atty. jopoc laughing hard because we du30 supporters are fighting because of this f#&king slut)

  12. I find it absolutely shallow when people make a big deal of pepe-dede-ralismo. It is a non-issue. The more pressing issue which has been avoided by the yellow media is the expose of Attorney Glenn Chong in the senate.

i am a pro duterte but i dont find that latest mocha blunder a non-issue.

pang ilan na ba to? di ba sya nahihiya at di pa nag si sink in na govt employee sya? na kinu consider syang federalism influencer tapos ganyan ilalabas? is that right for you? paki explain.

sayang ang tax ko sa letseng babaeng to. laki laki ng sweldo puro walang kwenta ginagawa? kung ikaw di nanghihinayang sa tax mo ke mocha, then i dont know what to say to you.

its mochas fault kung bakit natatabunan ng katangahan niya yung more pressing issue ni Atty. Chong. Sisihin mo yung katangahan niya.

  13.

Walang kumpiyansa. Malaking benta kasi kapag may na injure meron kang mahuhugot na player na may kumpiyansa sa sarili............... Last night nanghinayang ako maski 20+ na lang lamang sa dying minutes sana pinasok man lang niya si Mark. Sunset years na yuong tao sana binigyan niya ng chance to smell and participate in victory. Yung kay Jericho wala talaga yun napaglalaruan ko lang kasi mabait yuong bata at give all kapag practice kaso talagang ang katawan niya not made for basketball. Matangkad lang

i agree with your sentiments boss. But for me those chances does not need to come during championship time but during elimination rounds kung saan di masyado malaki ang mga risks. These bench players have a purpose kaya sila tinawag na bench players, to relive the starting 5 and the best players. Thats where the playing time comes into part during elimination rounds. May habit din kasi to si CTC na kung hindi nya nakikita na sobrang galing sa practice or special during practice, hindi nya masyado bibigyan ng playing time. Scottie is the one exception. Thats why he also let go of kamoteng Ellis kasi nakita niyang wala talagang pag asa yung taong yun. May playing time nga lahat at gumagaling ang mga players pero hindi naman nag cha champion (look at compton and Guiao), aanhin mo yung playing time kung lagi naman kangkong? Di ba mahirap din yung ganun? Dapat i balance lang din.

But hey, as long as we are winning, i have no complaints. Sa tagal kong naghintay tulad niyo ng championship (8 years), i can give them some slack and space during the times na natatalo sila. Sana lang we need to be more understanding, observant and fair. Wag lang makakalimot. hehe

    peace.

    we are the champions!!!

    #NSD4life

  14. Congrats GINEBRA!

I apologize for anticipating a Game 7 but nonetheless the outcome is the same - WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Well deserved Finals MVP to Scottie, the 2nd best player should be Greg, as CTC would say, he made SMB change the way they played.

And we all saw how poor Coach Leo is in devising counter attacks against CTC. Nadale ni master of adjustments!

CTC using only 9 players wins 3 straight games leading to the championship.

JBL is a monster, and with this kind of performance, tapos umpisa na ng next conference next week, Ginebra will be more deadly. Sana lang wag na ma injure si Greg and Hopefully Japhet will have his full recovery in time.

I was shocked that Lassiter and Ross have 0 as in itlog points in a do or die game. That shows how valuable Greg's defense to Junmar is.

Altho we saw that JMF gets the better of Greg, still, the SMB usual plays were never in effect.

    again, ang sarap sabihin........

    WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

kangkungin niyo mukha niyo!

    :P

  15. Speaking of emission test, I was in EDSA waiting for a ride just a few days ago, and a truck carrying personnel from the Army went chugging by towards Camp Aguinaldo, spewing thick black smoke from its exhaust pipes. Are they exempted from the anti-smoke belching law?

Alaska did not have a greg to match up against junmar... although smb is still a stronger team because they are deeper compared sa gins...

Tim and the crowd is the clear advantage ng gins... kaso they should still play upto par...

Jbl has the tendency to fall into a shooting slump sana not today... i hope jeff and japeth will both have a break out game...

    Greg should be more agressive...

Ano kaya kung si jbl or jdv ang mag pg?

definitely will happen pards.. I expect SMB to pressure the ball early sa backcourt pa lang at hindi pahawakin ng bola si LA para hindi ma setup ang opensa. We all know where LA goes the team goes so i expect them to go all out vs LA today.

nag semi slump na si JBL nung Game 5, he will definitely bounce back tonight. I expect a 30+ game again from him.

National ID to roll out in Metro Manila, Region IV-A by year-end

    http://cnnphilippines.com/news/2018/08/08/national-id-philsys-roll-out-manila-region-4a-2018.html

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, August 8) — The national identification (ID) card will be available for free in Metro Manila and Region IV-A by the end of 2018, a congressman said Wednesday.

"[The National Capital Region] and Region IV-A will be the pilot areas... before the end of the year," Davao City Representative Karlo Nograles told CNN Philippines' The Source.

Nograles, who sponsored the bill and is also chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, said P2 billion had been allotted for the national ID at the beginning of the year.

"Dapat magastos siya... at ma-fully utilize natin ang pondong iyan," he said.

[Translation: That has to be used... We need to fully utilize that fund.]

He said that another ₱2 billion had also been allotted for the national ID system next year, but the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) had requested for a total budget of ₱6 billion. The PSA is expected to come up with the implementing rules and regulations for the law.

  19. This U18 Gilas team may be the team of the future this may be the core of our national team in the coming 2023 FIBA Worlds

Pagharian muna natin ang ASIA before thinking of going to the world stage.

Regain ASIAN SUPREMACY starting with this cadets. Wag lang sana mapulitika

  20. GAME DAY!!!

I expect SMB to go a lot to Junmar so that SMB shooters can get going.

Expect a huge game from Cabagnot and Ross again.

I dont know but i feel a game 7 is coming, knowing SMB who came back from a 0-3 deficit before already, im not counting them out yet.

But hey, no matter what happens, #NSD is here.

(joke)

BTW, Jake Tordecilla (or Mr. Fire quinito) is saying sa Ginebra daw babagsak si Calvin... I Hope not... Not now.. Maybe next season? lets see
