Sir yong dating old set up and experience ko for the renewal and ive heard that the new renewal procedure is a lot of steps before getting your new licence. now just searching some info re the new procedure for FA licensing. and read one article that there is new rules as per the instruction with PNP Chief dela rosa, requirement is just only 4 are follow

 

1. Nuero Psychiatric Exam

2. Police Clearance

3. Drug Test

4. MTC/TRC or just only NBI

yes, those are the four. actually mabilis naman i-process yung LTOPF once you got those. and it usually takes just 2 days to do it all. the nice thing is, once you do get your LTOPF, you just have to present your license if you are getting a firearm. one license for ALL your firearms. you don't have to repeat all the steps everytime you get a gun (as in the old law)! category 1 license=2 firearms (note, hindi na 1 long and 1 short), category 2= 5 firearms, cat3= 10 firearms, etc.

@ ilukaok- the PNP wa supposed to issue na plastic cards pero mukhang na question yung contract (as usual, time ng CPNP na umalis in disgraced) anyway, paper is considered legal. i keep mine in a small plastic envelope and inside my carry bag para madaling madukot. kasama na rin registration ko.

as for PTC, i am sorry, and don't know how long ang processing time since naka MO ako for my carry gun.

@ kingphilip, LTOPF ka na ba? or yung previous license set-up?

sa long? kung 22LR, puwede na ang Armscor, especially their M22 as this is a clone of the Ruger10/22. so all the after market parts ng Ruger fit the M22 also! but kung other calibers, try Twin Pines and PB Dionisio. they have a wider selection of brands as compared to the others. there's another gun store that is on the tip of my tongue but can't remember it at the moment. will PM you the name once i remember it.....

only thing i hate about Pathfinder is that there is a lvl20 limit in organized play. you could theoretically go over, but it gets cumbersome

Would a foreigner be able to purchase a firearm under Duterte admin? I don't mind going through background check, just to proof I'm a law abiding foreigner.

The law only recognizes Filipinos, foreigners with Filipino citizenship as a dual citizenship, and American veterans. Other foreigners are still not allowed.

D&D 5th Edition? Really? i have the pdfs of the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide and the Monster's Manual for the 5th Ed, but haven't gotten around to reading, much less playing, them yet......

there are several off the shelf commercial ones available here. i remember Asian had a pilot program for Palm and Handspring years back.....

currently, the rule is still the same, although there are now plans to increase the length of the LTOPF to 4-5 years. if this gets implemented, the law states that all you need to present to get a PTC, aside from the application, in a LTOPF

can u renew ur gun license while waiting for ur ltopf

NO, LTOPF means License To Own and Possess a Firearm. in other words, IT IS YOUR LICENSE. any gun you buy, possess is only to be registered to the license.......

i applied for ltopf in our province feb 2016, still waiting for confirmation from crame when to pay the ltopf fee.

check with Crame, it should be there now......

Actually, madali ang mag renew. If your LTOPF has not expired yet, you just need to submit the LTOPF. Period. If expired na, you start from scratch. Remember, you can renew starting 6 months prior to your birthday

When you get the necessary papers for LTOPF (please note the spelling), Crime Lab (us) do the drug test. Most common drugs show up.

arsonist2010- i know! also awaiting the amnesty. was told during the gun show that amnesty was supposed to be this month. no further updates......

approval usually takes a few months. mine took 4 months, but was only able to get my LTOPF 4 months after that....
