either way we can interpret that as correction or  accumulation coming from a steep rise.  the problem now is that there is no volume to push acen up

In the 1st place, the problem goes to the $ACEN holders that has a high average price than the current price. Because they are already loosing money (this is a fact, check your port), if the stock holder has a low average price (gains were already lowering).

"310.98M (value traded), no volume????" The only answer is Sellers is in control. This is a downtrending stock, and being distributed.

Good morning! :)

This has already posted a warning signal last dec 1. Looking at the price action, clearly being distributed.

I remember this post and people were trying to "buy the dip, that keeps on deeping". LOL!

Other famous words were, I trust "Ayala Stocks"

Laki ng "foreign buying today". question, if malaki ung foreign buying, aren't you curious enough why the prices wont go up?

As you can see, when leadership move ends. The sell off starts, 80/50 rule. There is an 80% chance that it will drop 50%, or 50% chance it will drop 80%. Look at $DITO now and other previous leaders.

This is the main reason, why someone needs to study. Goodluck on your ACEN. I do hope your average is that low. :)

First trading day bagsak ang pse.

2nd trading day may technical problem. pse ayaw magbukas.

Last year first week of january may mga nagceiling pa. Ang daming newbie na kumita.

trying my best to explain few reasons on your statement, and maybe give some clarity.

Aren't you aware that the market moves in cycles? (screenshot of psei attached 5 yr timeframe starting 2017 - 2022). Just for reference. So himay himayin naten ung naging history "prior move"

    - Jan 2017 - 2018 = the market recovered coming a deep correction

    - Jan 2018 - 2019 = After a steep rally, gains have been consumed and in time corrected

    - Jan 2019- 2020 = partial rally and then moved sideways

    - Jan 2020 - 2021 = market posted a bear cycle, corrected

    - Jan 2021 - 2022 = sideways move again, since during oct 2020 the market recovered.

So what my point, you have to view this in bigger picture and understand that the market moves in cycle. Rather than having a base on a per month basis. "where the market is coming, and where is it today".

--> First trading day bagsak ang pse.

So san nanggaling, di ba nagrecover na coming from a correction. And one of the important detail is the market is possibly pricing in omicron cases, fed announcement and other details. Kung patient ka lang talaga intindihin ung price action you will have somewhat a basic understanding. Dec 31, binuhusan na diba?

--> 2nd trading day may technical problem. pse ayaw magbukas.

Isipin mo, pag binuksan nila with only few brokers can connect to their system. Would you like that? Diba it will post many issues if tinuloy nila?

--> Last year first week of january may mga nagceiling pa. Ang daming newbie na kumita.

    - Every time the market is open, it also opens opportunity for everyone to make money, loose money, or flat. Monthly base is irrelevant.

Hope it have clarifies some things.

  4. i never do any reco. its because anything can happen in the markets. But if you just read the details previously posted, and check the overall market vs your stocks. You might have seen names like, acex, ubp, tel, mwc and others.

As you can see, these names were holding the drop, recovered fast, or not affected by the selloff.

Why follow price? it's because the institutions know better (big boys). Another reason why you need to buy what they buy, is because they are the only person who pushes prices up or make the prices hold and pushes the prices down.  Its never retail money!

Wag mag utak retail na saluhin ang drop, there is a reason why the prices are dropping through selloff (normally bad name lalo kung down 20% and up).

Then, you will be left with big losses and hoping that your stock goes up, na walang may alam kung kelan darating or darating pa ba. remember DD. hahaha!

  5. Sell off happened earlier, is due to first 2 reported cases of omicron variant in the country. So the big boys sold some shares, to manage their risk and took this opportunity to realize their gains, may it be for partial profit or in full or maybe take the small loss and observe on the sidelines how the market will react to it.

As you can see, the market is trying to price in the possible effect of the virus. Same goes in the us and other countries.

    Always remember, respect risk!

are you rich enough that you follow these guys bro?

LOL, natatawa ko sa way of questioning mo sir honestly. medyo out of context?

My statement is that simple. Yung totoo, investing is a simple manner, na ung investor lang nagpapacomplicate.

My point, there are many ways to profit in the market, if your way, is making you money then be it and stay with it. If not, then accept the fact that you are loosing money and learn from those who have done it.

Now to answer your question, No. But I am wise enough to learned from them. Because the system they teach people is verified working. Google them up, so you have an idea in terms of performance and their results?

Do i need to be that rich, to begin follow the correct methods of investing in the markets?

In investing, you really don't need a lot money. Essentials would be learning the fundamentals of it. How it works, how it doesnt work, how to manage your risk and etc.

Luckily , i was able to buy when the Dow is at 19,000

LOL, clearly this guy on the video doesnt know how to properly manage their risk and doesnt understand how the market works.

If you really want to learn how to invest in the market in a correct way, try to learn and study the works of william oneil, mark minervini, david ryan, paul tudor jones, stan drakenmiller, ed seykota and other market wizards. They are well known, because of their consistency profiting in the markets.

Minsan, simple lang talaga. Why not be disciplined enough to patiently learned from the people who have done it well? and how did they do it? Because, if you learn the proper skillsets, the money follows. Now, if your lazy enough, all i want to say is good luck. :)

For those who do not have time to study heavily on the stock market, you may opt to invest on index funds first and just do peso-cost averaging. Your goal should be long-term so you can mitigate the volatility of the market.

i beg to disagree. Here's why:

*Index funds is basically designed to mimic top 30 names (blue chips). So what you buy in here is in terms of NAVPU.

All hindsight, since it already happened (history).

Let's say you bought sometime around jan 29, 2018. from there, market tops and went down by 25.25% (bottomed at oct 2018, then recovered 24.6% at july 2019 (market tops again and went down). so in summary, at this time you still have a loosing position by 7.38%.

Then again, from july 2019 it drop 51.93% (added to your losses). Then recovered at March 2020 by 60% (today's prices of value).

So therefore, from your initial bought price (after 3 years of waiting and investing) you are still down by 20.72%.

So what's my point in here. In Phil market, you only make money (long position), when prices go up. But when prices go down (you loose your money). Not everyone is aware that markets move in cycles.

What's worst in this scenario is when you do peso cost averaging. Since, by doing that, you just increasing your risk on a loosing position. A stock is only good, when prices is going up (so timing is vital).

My piece of advice, if you dont have any time studying and patiently learning the business of trading/investing in the markets (normally it will a year or more), your money is better off alone in the banks.

Just like in other businesses, the odds of doing a certain business, without you having a knowledge of it has a higher probability of it not working.

Ignorance is not an edge in this business.

I agree. BDO Sec ang pinakaayaw ko among my brokers. COL, First Metro or BPI Trade na lang subukan nya. Happy with those three.

I Haven't personally use mentioned brokers for PSE. But just to help, there are websites, youtube videos already that compared each brokers, if you google it. You will have somewhat an idea, on what you need. Depending on what fits for you.

For me (trading purposes), i like this functions avail for my online broker (conditional orders (auto orders), accessible via web and an app, have decent charting tool, pre market orders (all stock), market depth quotes meaning all quotes for the stock code (to be specific, other brokers just display 5 or 10 orders), reliable (money is safe for funds, a broker that doesnt have a history of lagging issues (minor issues is ok, but if happens everytime, its a deal breaker for me.) hope it helps!
