Did anyone try the stocks platform in gcash?

Depende nalang sa tao to at kung fit ba sa purpose. Personally, nung nireview ko ito, mas na outweigh nung cons yung mga prio ko kaya pumass ako. Iba paren yung legit broker for me.

Pag nilatag kasi ganto lang para saken.

    - Normally, nag open lang naman ng gantong types of account for small amount of investment, ease of picks (since feeder fund yung listed or ETF),  and easy access (Just like what is advertised). But yung hindi nakikita ng iba is yung ibang factors like accessibility (down ng app), transaction fees (fees na sa managing fund added pa sa gcash fees), market knowledge (right time to invest), future proofing (like if magventure ka on trading, managing a significant amount) and etc.

So, kung oks lang sayo yung limitations and yung existing features. I think go for it. If not, just open an account to a legit broker.

  2. Got lots of time to burn, so I'll share some info re: your URC: (just for clarity)

On 4/23/2024 at 8:50 AM, ChillaxLang said:

Still bummed about my URC hitting pandemic level prices.

Technically di naman talaga naghit ng pandemic level prices ito. Btw, I treat your statement "URC  hitting pandemic level prices" as prices hit 82php again. This is what happened; it bottomed out at 82php (March 16,2020) recovered; after that it plummet again up to 93.25 (june 13, 2022) recovered once again and plummeted once again. Bottomed out recently at 89.10 php. This was a normal price action on trading or investing in a stock that is under a downtrend fashion (Lower high, lower low). As you can see. I've marked all the points i have said in the screen print for your reference.

Now, let's deal with the feeling "bummed about URC". It only means, you were holding it for a while now and you may have ridden it during the roundtrips that took place. Di mo naman siguro mararamdaman yung disappointments along the way if let's say nakabili ka for example nung pandemic at 82php then you have sold it at around 140php right? Kasi technically, kumita ka nun in less period of time.

Now let's move on with your second statement:

    19 hours ago, ChillaxLang said:

Kung kelan nagdadalawang isip ako magdagdag eh. 16% gain na sana in a matter of two weeks. Sayang din. Haha

Kaya ka lang naman ng hinayang kasi nakita mo na yung 16% move. In short, hindsight na. In which on investing or trading the stock market, real time ito. Hindi ito pwede irewind.

Kung baket ko to nasabe eh simple lang naman. Let's change the scenario. Chineck mo price ng $urc over the net at nakita mo down ng 16% from your bought price. Nanghinayang ka ba magdagdag paren at that situation? Or nag-isip ka ba na teka baka bumaba pa ito? or  Nag-isip ka ba na benta ko na kaya hanggat may natitira pang value sa pera ko? or lastly pwede ring yung ginagawa ng karamihan, na close port, then mag-isip na magandang company to babawi to overtime?

Now i have a solution for you to end this "panghihinayang" factor. Let's say, you are trading the recovery of $urc coming from 89php  nag 95 (so recovering right, kasi umaangat e). Ang gagawin mo lang, planuhin mo. Simple planning example, pag nag 98 or let's say 100 si $urc, bili ako ng x amount shares. In that way, if it hits 98 or 100 makakabili ka. Kasi nga nasa plano e at kung natrigger naman yung buying conditions. If hindi naman nag 98 or 100. Simple, e di wala kang gagawen. Kumbaga, di ka na malilito kung bibili ba ko o hinde. Kasi nakalatag na e, eexecute mo nalang.

Honestly speaking, for me. Di naman dapat panghinayangan ito. At least nagrecover na. di nga lang ito yung top reversal trade na nakita ko. Yung iba nga, di naman nagrecover at patuloy parin sa pagbaba.

Since ang title neto "Hinayang". Sasabihin ko na yung top reversal trade for my eyes. $ACEN recovered almost 30% in 2 weeks and few days time. Check mo nalang, kung di ka naniniwala, pwede mo rin sukatin ngaun. hahaha, Ayos ba?

  3. The theme of the market right now is reversals, continuation of moves, and my favorite outliers.

Top idea for reversal in my view is no other than $chp, were in it bounce from a support level 1.20-1.22 confluence with its 200MA support.

Market is pricing in rumors re: if $dmc will really gonna be buying $chp and adding it to their arm of business. This is the same catalyst why it went up in the 1st place. (just in case your not aware).

Here's that evidence in terms of price; I didn't bought it. Since it wasn't my cup of tea. (So, i'm just watching it). In time, you would understand that not all moves are meant to be bought. Most especially if your results is, poor in that type of strategy.

For those that have caught it and made money on it (realized gains/already sold their shares). Congratulations!

The worst case scenario at this point should be a fair trade. Yung wins turns into a loss. Tawag dun engot! :D

    addendum:

as you can see, move or price move comes first way ahead before the news.

Then what happens after news came out; gap down. Perfect buy the rumor, sell the news example right.

Todays chp chart. gap down open

  4. Information shared is very helpful and can be true or not. Hence, this must be validated through price and volume. The only question is "do you have the skillsets required to read or basically understand what the price is telling?". If one doesn't know how to interpret it. The undying cycle of confusion, stress, just believing to hear say will never end and etc.

Since most of the markets where weak right now. To brighten up your day, I'll share one stock that I am still holding for my sister's account in PH. I'll be trimming half if it hits 3.27 (auto orders is already set btw).

Bought this stock April 1 eod @ 2.72 and added a few more on the 17th; eod as well @ 2.90; (reason for buying; price action, low risk entry point, liquid, divs play, and RS)

  5. To answer your inquiry, @Batang hampas lupa here's my $web trade.

    Bought June 1, 2022 - 3.77; added at June 14, 2022 - 4.12

Partial sell June 29, 2022 and at the open of the 30th. Check mo nalang chart for that prices. (For the selling; I posted it in here; See below for reference).

In hindsight; full bag of sh*t yung nireco at hinype sa inyo ng idol nyo. pahype lang kau lagi. :D

  6. For those interested on investing on mutual funds avail in ph. You can check and review their current performance in here.

    https://pifa.com.ph/facts-figures/

    Do your due diligence.

Tip: Normally, the fund managers target are to beat the current index results. It doesn't, mean that all of them make money. Like for example if the YTD of the index is at -15% and their results is at -9%. Technically, they have beaten the index results but they also didnt make money. Plus they earn money from the investors (fund managing fee).

In order to have a glimpse of their real performance (ask for their 3 years performance, if it went positive or not).

Own thoughts; study the markets, learn technical analysis and invest on a much more liquid fund in the US ETF, or like SPY were historically your money grew in a much shorter period of time and gain more results provided that the entry is good.

  7. Sad. Same individual who recommended you guys to buy $cnvrg at 22; cheap na daw kasi. Ngaun magkano nalang current price 9.42? Down ka na sana ng ilang percent if sinunod mo lang basta basta.

What stocks to buy at this current situation to win?

I was asked by many as to what stocks to have. My answer is to tell the stocks what I had already put my money.

CNVRG- we know well that the reason for its decline to a low of 18.20 was due to the selling of Pincus Warburg of around 250M shares more or less at 25 per share. Everybody got scared of that sending Cnvrg lower and lower since then. But it is now going up indicating that the said shares must have been exhausted or sold out. Therefore even if you buy at 22 tomorrow, its closing today is at 21.70, your buying price is far better off than the 25 per share crossed by Pincus to another foreign investor at 25 per share. You must take advantage of this rare chance when a fundamentally sound telco company is trading below the acquisition price of a major foreign investor in CNVRG. In the grander scheme of investing especially in the stock market, the big investors will always win because they have the financial muscle and wherewital to make the stock price go into their favor. The one who bought the 250M shares at 25 will be the captive defender of Cnvrg in the coming days. Anything below 25 at this point is relatively cheap and must be scooped up.

Next are the Marcos stocks like WEB and PRIM and others. I can not convince you with sound fundamentals that these stocks have like CNVRG. However, they posses the meandering speculations as to what businesseses that can be injected into them. These stocks being listed can be easy target by international companies wanting to open up business ventures here without the rigors of undergoing governmental, congressional scrutiny and approval. Their allure is the " what are we in power for" swagger. Stock market is practically speculations. And these stocks will enjoy 6 years of endless speculations while BBM is on the driver's seat. I heard PRIM is on expansion drive already. What about WEB? There can be a lot to be injected in those stock once BBM officially sits.

    Lets all make some money

In hindsight, if you followed to buy it at the reco price of web at prim that time. You could have bought it at the top (both stocks).

Here's $web on that date; Same reason, why it is a must for you guys interested to study and learn how the markets move. So that, you can't easily be hype over what every individual tells you to do so.

  8. New topic: "The illusion of Port snap"

    - As you can see, or know you will have a chance to glance this kind of activity being posted over the web. There are lots of reason why a person do this. Some do this kind of act to boost their ego, some to prove that they have the skills required to make money in the markets (uy!, marunong ako neto makinig ka saken

), some to just lure others that they know what they are doing (even though the reality is they aren't really making money in the markets) and some have other reason that we can never think of.

    Just like this for example:

Pay attention to the Portfolio percentage and the port size (total port amount) (to determine the allocation and actual value of the portfolio)

At first glance; Uy! ang galing up 44% on $PLUS. But in reality, if you check the history of the account (in which the idea of what I posted). What is the illusion behind it? Kumita ba?

approximately 86% up coming out from its base (trendline break; 4 days push) and 17.53% up today. Not bad for a less participant market like  the PSE. :)

Looking for advice. Will be moving to canada soon, is it better to invest in stocks there or here in the philippines?

I don't trade the local stock market of Canada, so can't comment about it. But normally, people do transition to Global markets (US markets) rather than their local market. Main reason is its liquidity, two ways of earning long or short and etc.

Now, let's go further to your inquiry. Normally, "profitable traders and wise investors" is following a process on transitioning from one market to another one. This was a systematic approach, rather than a gut feel, a wild guest, or any reason that you can think of, that has no good basis on making money on your target market overtime (in this scenario: canadian stock market). Always remember, stocks is a risky asset. Meaning, there is a chance of you loosing your money and vice-versa has the opportunity to make more money.

    Few questions in mind that you need to answer on your own;

    - Do you have a proven working system/strategy (Verified making you money)? If none, I don't really recommend exposing your hard earned money on it. What I do recommend is for you to study and learn the skillsets needed.

    - How's your investing in PSEI results? Are you making money, by applying your own system consistently? Or are you not? If your making money, was it a product of your own system/strategy? Or just a product of a mere reco, hype, and rumors?

    - Port allocation (Case to Case basis). Personally, I start small and just get my feet wet. This is done, to gauge, or to possibly have some idea on how you will do in that market (basis is your portfolio). Now port allocation size depends on your current age. I learned this from David Ryan.

20-40's = can be aggressive enough, depending of your choice. Reason behind it, if you loose some money, you still have the strength to regained it by working.

50's - 70's to old age = conservative. As you don't have the strength the same as when your young.

Bottomline: "The idea is, get rich and stay rich."

*Now If you ain't making money in a certain period of time (used desired deployed small capital in that market), automatically go back to the drawing board and study. It only means, you need to learn some skills in order to make some money consistently.

*If you make some money, then that's a good start. Normally full deployment of target funds is made after 1-2 market cycles (case to case basis). Bottomline is, first you must make some real money in your own port , then everything follows. Being too much aggressive (transferring all funds from one market to another without a system in place or a glimpse of your own results, is normally a recipe for disaster).

Btw, when I mentioned system. It means, you know how to determine good names to buy/sell on your own, you know when your idea is wrong, you know how to manage your risk, you know what's the correct allocation size per trade, you know what to avoid, and etc. If you don't have this skillsets acquired yet, there is a higher probability that you will fall under the loser's club.

That's the only thing I can think of right now. Hope it helps!

seem Psei is near a breakdown.

I must say, i like this comment when I happen to read it.

In gauging, market sentiments. People getting worried, scared, and devasted is quite a normal scenario during the bear cycle. And when it happens, it means, the recovery is near. (I've marked the date, when this comment is made, and as well as when the overall market broken out of its longterm downtrend.) :)

What's good is, i have seen some proliferation of bases, setups with low risk entry points and I noticed that liquidity is slowly coming in. So, prior to overall market confirmation, i've thrown some probes and noticed that it was working.

What I've done basically is same as the US. Rinse -repeat.

Re: reco's posted: hmm. most are illiquid names, on a downtrend, and some are just in sideways. I won't be surprised, if those didnt have a significant move (people who bought the reco's).

And ohh, before i forgot prior to July 13 break to the upside of psei. The night of July 12, Emerging markets gap up and broken out and same as msci philippines. So, I already have a clue that July 13 trading day is a must watch for market confirmation. What does it means? Liquidity is flowing back to emerging markets like the Philippines.

  12. Ranking the strongest market for equities. (excluding forex, options,  and other assets since I dont trade those and don't have any vision)

This is only based on my opinion (verify on your own).

Few reasons why: liquidity, Now on a trending market that came previously from a huge correction (where big money is made), proliferation of bases prior to overall market run, setups arises that gives low risk entry point and the most important thing probes or my positions are working.

    1. US markets

    2. crypto - improving market

    3. PSE - improving market

Now, some leaders are pulling back. For one good reasons, the run has been big enough. So there are already some profit takings.

    Some few trades made.

$nvda (sold some when 10 breaks; took some profits)

$cvna (sold some, on 1st day red, price extended from 10, took profits)

Attached price triggers and execution for reference.

Thanks Man, will research more about it.

Investing in Reit's in PH, needs a NOCD Account (Without it, you can't purchase any REit's listed). There are two ways to do it. Via PSE Easy or using your online broker (COL as you mentioned). Please take note that you will need to submit few requirements like valid ID's and a signed form in order for them to process the request.

Here's the link using COL, just follow it. For any issues or inquiries feel free to contact/email your broker. Surely, they'll be happy to assist you. Since you are their client.

It's a less than 60 second job search in YT btw.

For other online brokers such as (BPI trade, fmsec, philstocks and etc). Try searching it in YT. Just provided link for COL, as an example.
