Its important for every fighter to be in the right division. Thats how he gets recognition. We have 3 or 4 boxing champions, pero si manny lang ang sikat even if he does not hold a belt. Nietes is in a division nobody would want to fight in and watch for, with his age. Same thing for gerry, he is a good fighter but just not pound for pound material. Boom boom bautista Im afraid is hangang continental championship lang.

 

The good thing about manny is he took on the best in the featherweight divisions (barrera, morales, and marquez), plus he also was never afraid to take on other guys in other divisions. He smoked de la hoya, and he wasted hatton. He flies from one division to the other whackin out guys everytime. That is the luck guys like nietes, and penalosa could never have. But donaire looks really promising, since he took care of Darchinyan. Tingin ko me igagaling pa ito.

 

The thing is, back in the days nobody would pay to see smaller guys fight. The money and recognition was always in the heavyweight division. Back then being heavyweight world champion actually was the greatest sports title. Now its just a joke, when you have guys like chagaev who is the joke champion of the WBA, and the Klitschko brothers who wont fight each other, WTF? Sadly, the world may not see how good wladimir klitschko is, since he never really fights a worthy challenger. I fell asleep (and I meant that litterally) in the Klitschko Rahman fight.

The way I see it, the real money is in the 140-147 divisions. Good thing manny is where the money is. Walang kakwenta kwenta talaga ang heavyweight division ngayon. No wonder its almost been a decade since a main heavyweight event was held in vegas. The Klitschko bros are over rated. Yeah sure they are good, but thats only because there isn't much competition in that division anyway. After Lennox and Tyson retired talagang naging boring na ang heavyweight fights. Now its just a couple of over grown guys who have mediocre fighting skills.

 

Im afraid that the light heavyweight division is also starting to deteriorate. With Tarver, Hopkins, and Jones Jr. all leading towards retirement. Chad dawson could not even sell 2500 tickets.

Yeah gone are the days na me Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Foreman, etc... ngaun swerte ni Manny kasi weightclass nila ang may mga explosive, moneymaking boxers currently. And He ranks among the elite.

I have said before... Manny has the RIGHT to venture into whatever Political position. Pero sana AFTER na ng boxing career niya....

What the rockets did in this series is bordering on the miraculous. 2 of their franchise players injured and yet they extended a complete lakers team to a game 7. The Lakers should have had this wrapped up a game ago if only they didn't underestimate these gutsy Rockets. Kudos to Rick Adelman for again extending the Lakers to a 7th game. I hope the third time's a charm for Adelman after heartbreaking losses to the Lakers in the 2000 Western Conference Finals as coach of Portland and in the 2002 Western Conference Finals as coach of the Kings.

Had this very priceless & memorable experience before in one of the bar/club in Timog near Xymaca. I was with some MTC friends, bale 3 kami na magkakaofficemate who went there to enjoy the show and have a good time since it was my birthday.

Then while enjoying our moments with our ka-tables, a group of rowdy guys sitting in the adjacent table said loudly "Wala yan, mamaya lang pagpapawisan na yan dahil di alam saan kukuha ng pambayad" Then my mtc friend na pamangkin ni Avelino Razon & a Demolai/y member was about to stand up & confront them but his katable held on to him & I told him "Pre relaks, ako muna..." Then I signalled to the waiter to come over & whispered something. 3 FM's sensing tension came over to the rowdy group & asked them if "MY" group was bothering them.

My friend was really furious by this time as medyo nagkakacommotion na. Then the FM's asked us if it's ok for us to transfer seat to avoid untoward incident. Of course di kami pumayag... Tamang tama yung pagbalik ng waiter with the OIC & GM and was heading to our direction. My 2 friends said "potah pre, regular guest ata dito mga tadong yan" I calmly said relax ka lang, by this time yung mga ibang guest nakatingin na sa amin as we were seated near the stage. Then eksaktong pag lapit ng oic, waiter, gm, sabi ko na lang bigla sa oic, "NINONG, yang mga t@ngin@ng kupal na yan kinukursunada kami!" potah wala daw kami pambayad sa mga inorder namin.

And then pinarinig ko sa mga t@r@nt@dong guest "ninong kaibigan ko pala si m*******, Siya yung pamangkin ni Gen Avelino Razon. Siya yung nagtuturo sa akin paano pumutok at siya yung may collection ng baril.

After a few minutes they're group stood up & was about to leave, pinahabulan pa ng katropa ko "Ingat kayo ha, mamaya asa Xaymaca kami kaya kung pwede lang sa iba niyo na dalhin kayabangan niyo!"

I believe some of the mtc's infamous group, the Howlers we're there to witness the incident.

It was truely priceless! Pakiramdam namin nun hari kami. he he! And my 2 MTC friends didnt knew na Ninong ko un OIC dun... ha ha!

And while we stayed and enjoyed the rest of the evening, yung 3 kabadong kupal na FM's lapit ng lapit & hingi ng hingi ng sorry. Even gave us complimentary use of the VIP! ha ha

Yep! if the manny este money is right, then bring it on. Manny does not duck nobody. As long as the price is right then bring em on. Manny will fight the fights the audience will pay for to see. The idea that manny is ducking marquez is ludicarous. Why does he need to duck a guy he knows he can floor (4 times that is)? Remember Manny took on a guy who was way too big for him, in a wieght class that is way above his league. Many analyst claimed that this was infact a mismatch since de la hoya had the reach and power advantage. But look how manny smoked him and gave the golden boy of boxing the most humble defeat of his career.

 

And just when we thought he couldnt get better, he demolished the king of the 140 lbs division under 6 minutes. Hatton undeniably suffered the worst punishment from pacquiao.

 

Now every respected boxing analyst said that Manny no longer needs to fight mayweather to establish his legacy. Even if mayweather never retired, Im sure manny would still take the pound for pound throne from him. So on his next bouts he calls the shot. Money in his favor or fight someone else.

If we are talking about him being a congressman, ibang usapan na yun syempre. Kahit naman si Vilma Santos she realized that she needed schooling to prepare her for public administration. And the mere fact din naman that Pacquiao wants to finish his schooling, he himself realizes he realizes the importance of education.

 

But going back I just do not like the idea of someone na gagamitin lang yung pagiging sikat nya para makauto ng botante, like Bong and Lito. Tapos nung naiboto wala naman ginagawa. The one reason why I admire the likes of vilma santos (im not a vilmainian, nor a batanguenio), is that she never capitalizes on fame per se, she capitalizes on readiness and capability. Manny should have already learned from his defeat during the past poles that he would need more than fame to earn a seat in congress.

I did not make myself clear :upside: ..... Politics aside yung sinabi ko na wag tirahin ang pag English niya. But if he's serious in pursuing a political career, then he needs to improve his english obviously.

Huwag niyong tirahin yung pag english ni Pacman cos he has significantly improved. WAY better than most call center agents. When he started his boxing career halos wala talaga siyang alam sa English pero his improvement is commendable, if not, IMPRESSIVE.
