Riantribe and other cebu experts,
we will be in mactan next month. Any suggestions on restaurants, gimmick places, places for night outs, etc. just in mactan without going to cebu city proper. I'll be with my family kaya good clean fun places lang. Ung hindi naman high end like shanrila and plantation bay. Also, how's the transportation situation in the island? wala kc kaming car or friends who can take us around.
thanks for your help.

was able to try something fishy's breakfast buffet at eastwood. At P80 sulit for big breakfast eaters. Selection includes plain and fried rice, noodle soup, chicken adobo, fried bangus, beef tapa, pork tocino, langgonisa, lumpiang shanghai, palabok, arroz caldo, hot cake, and palitaw.
Downside, coffee and other drinks not included. Also, they have the same menu everyday. There's another breakfast buffet at macao rest beside, basically the same selection plus salad bar but at P120+

this tip applies wherever you're flying.
If you are flying on economy ticket and on your final flight home you checked in your baggage that is grossly overweight and have to pay for the excess, try to do a quick comp*tation. Compare how much you'll pay with how much it takes to upgrade to business class. If paying for excess is more than the cost of upgrade, then by all means upgrade and enjoy business class amenities and priveleges. Of course this only applies if the business class section is not fully booked.

some tips from my european trip. Back then, if your ticket reaches as far as London, then there's not much difference if you fly to get to another country. So we always sckedule our flights during mealtime - that saves you a meal for the day. Also, in Europe, breakfast usually comes free with the accomodation and most of the time its eat all you can. So we usually, wake up early in the morning, do some sight seeing then come back at the last minute when breakfast still allowed around 945am.we stuff ourselves so that by lunch time, u dont eat too much!

Nice folks, if you really want to enjoy vegetables, you have to cook or prepare (if raw) them as main dishes. The problem with a lot of cooks, including a lot of our wonderful mothers (how we love them!), is they treat veggies as "side dishes." So they give very little attention to vegetables. In fact, one person I talked to said that cooking vegetables was easy. All you had to do was to put the veggies in boiling water, and that's it. Sorry, but that's wrong. That's "side dish thinking." To really enjoy vegetables, you have to go into "main dish thinking."
Once you treat veggies as main dishes, a lot of things change. For instance, you add more spices that fit the dishes. You literally spice it up. You use sesame oil to spice it up even further (and sesame oil in just about every vegetable dish is GREAT). You learn to innovate. You learn what goes well with what.
can u suggest sample recipes for different vegetables?
