  1. After the initial thrill of David's hotpot at Tomas mapua and its subsequent deterioration, king one has been the go to place in terms of hotpot

     

    you can also try beijing opera hotpot (former LITTLE LAMB) located in Kalaw, nearest establishment would be Manila Ocean Park, 650php per head which is quite expensive considering the limited foods offered, one of the best thing about this place is their Lamb, which i think is the reason why people frequent this place.

     

    the place is managed by mainlanders from beijing. quite hospitable especially if you can speak mandarin.

  2. The old Royal Garden Restaurant is undergoing a major renovation right now I hope the new owners would bring back its old glory during the 80's wherein every Sunday morning it is packed with customers up to it's 3rd floor for their delicious dimsums

     

    its a good business decision to renovate this place, puro ipis at daga na lang nakikita ko pag kumakain ako dito hehe..

     

    hopefully this place undergoes new management, one of the oldest restaurants in chinatown! we always frequent this place during sundays, kung hindi dito, sa mandarin restaurant or dun sa Lai lai restaurant which is now the Binondo Suites.

  3. Maybe what he meant was restaurants opened by mainlanders are dirty. If that's the case, I strongly agree. The truth hurts but Mainlander chinese are not really popular for their sanitation.

     

    I hope that he has the sentiment.

     

    speaking of Sanitation, Manosa is one of the oldest restaurants in Ongpin, but it also has a reputation of having bad sanitation , there was a time during my visit, I ordered for a Cha-mi, before eating i saw a "STAPLE" on my noodles, I didnt complain because even after you complain, they would still not improve their sanitation,although I still visit this place from time to time, thats because I just love the food here. :lol:

     

    after all, you get what you pay for, but I really hope that they improve their sanitation.

    panuurin mo sa youtube , makikita mo bakit..plus, he's 40+ years old, anyone in his age are not fit to fight in the octagon anymore, and as for his WWE return, this might be delayed or worse bka hindi na sya bumalik, he is currently starred in a new Marvel movie "guardian of the galaxy"

  5. i really dont know whats the big deal in entering a motel, e lahat naman ng pumpasok ng motel iisa lang ang motibo, mas mahirap pa ngang bumili ng condom, dahil hindi lahat ng nasa watsons, 711,mini stop or any convenient store ay bibili ng condom.

     

    pag pasok mo ng motel, bayad, pasok ng kwarto, do the deed tapos labas ulit ng motel.

  7. Is Brazil Brazil still good? Tried it a couple of years ago and felt that the quality has deteriorated.

     

    I always order the lamb barbeque there at Greek kouzina.

     

    All this talk a out BBQ is making me hungry but my Chinese doctor in hongkong advised me against eating too much food cooked in extremely high temperature like grilling and authentic high temp stir fry as it has a very bad effect on ones liver., so take it easy guys. We live to eat another day.

     

    it was my first time to try brazil brazil, i cannot determine if the food has deteriorated or not, food quality was ok but i wasn't satisfied, it was a team dinner so it was charged under our company, kaya walang kaso:lol:

     

    one of the best thing to do after eating grilled or fried dishes is to drink hot tea or hot water. this has been my routine every after meal, and it helps kasi mabilis matunaw ang mga kinain mo.

  8. IMHO, their teachers village branch is better, specially on a rainy night. Could it be that they are cutting costs to accommodate their boosting for metrodeal vouchers?

     

    i think its cost cutting,the owner told me that majority of his staff were on strike that time, nagdemanda daw mga tao nya kasi they are being "underpaid" baka dahil dyan at mas kunti na ang servings nya, on a side note magkakaibigan ang mga don day restaurant owners,will try teachers village branch next time,as for the meantime iiwas muna ako sa mga grilled at mga fried.

    That pic of AJISEN'S ramen looks awesome ....... you can tell from the white milky broth that the pork bones have been simmering for a very very long time.

     

    Of which I'm starting to notice the local branches of Ajisen ..... color of the broth is not that milky anymore. Are they cutting down on the simmering time to save up on gas ???

     

    i havent tried the ajisen here in the phil. first time to try it during my trip to china a few months ago. food was good medyo oily nga lang. saan branch meron dito sa manila or qc ang ajisen? thanks

     

    kanya-kanyang taste yan at bad experiences eheheh... I live just a block away from cause banawe. I rate their food below average/average.

     

    I tried their xiaolongbao twice this year, its DRY and tasted bland - lesson learnED... drive away or walk further to a better resto. The rest of the offerings is so-so for me. beef ho-fan also sucks... mas matino pa yun sa shanghai sa timog.

     

    I think big negative factor talaga pag ang resto/chain na naka-commissary at poorly-trained cooks (or so-called chef)... like northpark, etc.

     

    i think their cook came from HK, kilala ko yun anak ng may ari ng causeway, ill let them know the feedbacks so they can improve their service. thanks for the input. another dimsum restaurant that everyone can check out is KINGCHEF.
