@scam - Mona Lisa in along Commerce Avenue, Filinvest Corporate City, Alabang, Muntinlupa...
Your landmark will be the building that houses Bridgestone and Army/Navy Burger. They're on the 2nd floor...
-
Monalisa Ristorante at Alabang is a good one... they've got Panizza (complete with aragula and alfalfa) as well....
It's different from the usual suspects; while most Italian restos in the Metro serve Northern Italian cuisine, Mona Lisa serves Calabrian cuisine, which is southern.
Southern Italian cuisine is known for it's very savory/hearty bordering on heavy dishes. A prime example is their interpretation of Carbonara. Instead of using pancetta in the Northern version, they used salsicca di calabria, which made the dish very savory.
Like the previous poster, their Panizza's really great!!!!!!

Just got back from Boracay! it was the best 3 days..
i wanna come back again...
Hey!!!
My friends and I were also there at exactly the same time frame as you!!! We were in Willy's...
Where were you at??
-
Charlie's is expensive but worth it...they even use those nice smooth plastic bags for take-out orders...the fries included with the burgers are kamote i think...
They're not kamote... They're also potatoes but not the standard pre cut ones you get in places like McDo...

What a waste of money.. sigh! I read somewhere though that a lawmaker proposed a bill to reduce the costs of such procedures.
Hope that pushes through.
It is not a waste of money if you'll ask me!!!!!
Peace bro....

I know I'm biased...
If you want a mobile phone that no Tom, Dick and Harry has (read: iPhone4 and Nokia) then HTC is the way to go...
Android? Get the HTC Desire HD. That's a true iPhone killer
Windows Mobile?? Get the HTC HD7 or the older HD2
If you're going to use the phone for simply texting and calling then go Nokia....

I believe CHARLIE's Grind and Grill has a branch in Ortigas Avenue. (quite near the intersection where a Petron Gas Station stands)
Oh my bad then...
That's great news!!!! Now I wonder if they can open a branch in the south like the BF/Alabang area???
-
I haven't heard about Charlie's before. Saang area meron nito?
I've tried, big brother's, burgoo, johnny rockets and all of the fast food joints. I haven't found "the one" na masasabi kong "I'll never eat any other burger again" type of meal. Any suggestions?
Charlie's only has one outlet and it's in Pasig. How to go there I have no idea because I don't know the name of the street!!!
Ganito... Drive along Shaw as if you're headed towards the mot-mots turn right at the Kapitolyo rotonda. Turn left at the second corner (I think; can't remember the landmark but it's the first busy intersection).... About 100-150m from the corner on the right hand side you'll see a car wash outfit with a hole-in-the-wall sorta kinda organised resto...
That is Charlie's Grind and Grill... Enjoy your burger!!!!!

Army-Navy Burgers opened in BF Pque...
It's still Charlie's Grind and Grill for me!!!!!!!
-
Someone's suggesting I'm Angus along Yakal Street beside Santi's...
Any comments????
-
@asmodeus - I would have to agree with you... Besides food taste is very VERY subjective...

Is Grami operational?? If so, how much are the rates???

I very recently discovered Cafe Lusso in GB5...
Now that for me is a coffee shop!!!!!!!!!!!

My gold standard used to be Brother's Burger until I was introduced to Charlie's Grind and Grill...
In my opinion, Charlies is THE BOMB!!!!!!!!!
But wait, in the 2010 Manila's Best Kept Restaurants Secrets Awards (click here for the link), Brother's Burger won over Charlie's Grind and Grill...
They gotta be kidding!!!!!!

Okidok, kahit saan basta tama ang diskarte! wag lang locals, haha!
Yeah and you might meet "Myla"!!!!
-
My friends and I will spend a couple of days in Boracay...
Any recommended bars for some "action"?? You guys know the drill...

Bose??? It's all about marketing...
If you'd compare it to Italian shoes it's Salvatore Ferragamo... All marketing...
Speakers?? Whether it be for computers or home theater system it's only Klipsch for me...
Shoes??? Fratelli Rosetti... Hehehe...

Tag Heuer...
Works very well for me and not every Tom Dick and Harry have it...

Sicily from Palermo to Corleone and back...
It's very strange to discover that Sicilians drive like Manilenos in the city but there's courtesy along the autostrada.
I drove a Renault Megane 2.0Tdi with a 6 speed stick. With 3 other Caucasians (read:overweight), I was able to bring the car up to 160kph... Still, we were being passed by Ferraris, Alfas and a couple of Lambos like we were standing still...

Pressing on the horn button should be the last resort if the flashing of the headlights don't work... I find it rude if they go straight to honking their horns...
If all else fails, do both the flashing of the lights and press your horn button at the same time!!!!!
