  1. Monalisa Ristorante at Alabang is a good one... they've got Panizza (complete with aragula and alfalfa) as well....

It's different from the usual suspects; while most Italian restos in the Metro serve Northern Italian cuisine, Mona Lisa serves Calabrian cuisine, which is southern.

Southern Italian cuisine is known for it's very savory/hearty bordering on heavy dishes. A prime example is their interpretation of Carbonara. Instead of using pancetta in the Northern version, they used salsicca di calabria, which made the dish very savory.

Like the previous poster, their Panizza's really great!!!!!!

  2. What a waste of money.. sigh! I read somewhere though that a lawmaker proposed a bill to reduce the costs of such procedures.

    Hope that pushes through.

It is not a waste of money if you'll ask me!!!!!

    Peace bro....

  3. I know I'm biased...

If you want a mobile phone that no Tom, Dick and Harry has (read: iPhone4 and Nokia) then HTC is the way to go...

Android? Get the HTC Desire HD. That's a true iPhone killer

Windows Mobile?? Get the HTC HD7 or the older HD2

If you're going to use the phone for simply texting and calling then go Nokia....

  4. I haven't heard about Charlie's before. Saang area meron nito?

I've tried, big brother's, burgoo, johnny rockets and all of the fast food joints. I haven't found "the one" na masasabi kong "I'll never eat any other burger again" type of meal. Any suggestions?

Charlie's only has one outlet and it's in Pasig. How to go there I have no idea because I don't know the name of the street!!!

Ganito... Drive along Shaw as if you're headed towards the mot-mots turn right at the Kapitolyo rotonda. Turn left at the second corner (I think; can't remember the landmark but it's the first busy intersection).... About 100-150m from the corner on the right hand side you'll see a car wash outfit with a hole-in-the-wall sorta kinda organised resto...

That is Charlie's Grind and Grill... Enjoy your burger!!!!!

  5. Bose??? It's all about marketing...

If you'd compare it to Italian shoes it's Salvatore Ferragamo... All marketing...

Speakers?? Whether it be for computers or home theater system it's only Klipsch for me...

    Shoes??? Fratelli Rosetti... Hehehe...

  6. Sicily from Palermo to Corleone and back...

It's very strange to discover that Sicilians drive like Manilenos in the city but there's courtesy along the autostrada.

I drove a Renault Megane 2.0Tdi with a 6 speed stick. With 3 other Caucasians (read:overweight), I was able to bring the car up to 160kph... Still, we were being passed by Ferraris, Alfas and a couple of Lambos like we were standing still... :(
