  1. check out what is being done at the MRT now to correct past failures.

so much corruption previously that they are unable to move at all and do basic repairs. and they are still reeling from the aftereffects of the corrupt system. but they are moving now.

go and take a look see at the new cars coming in. hmm wait. you cannot see them because the cars are located at a hi security area. but they are coming soon. NOT A LOT. do not expect much - because corruption has taken a toll at how operations can be managed properly and resources are limited dahil ninakaw na.

check out how the system of corruption & poor service is being corrected from the GM - down to rank & file. every employee is being scrutinized and developed, or kicked out. YOU WILL NOT SEE THESE RESULTS just by riding the train or pounding at the keyboard. nor do the results come immediately.

but with limited resources, this is a great way to start. and all of this is being done with the media breathing on their necks.

to those who expect immediate results, you will not get it. to those who expect to SEE all that is being done, do not fool yourself. you have to get out of your lazy chairs and find a way to observe.

oh btw, a couple of ATTEMPTS AT LARGESCALE CORRUPTION were thwarted by the current GM. that will never be in the news. but maybe you can ask people who work at the MRT and see how things are going there now.

CAMIAR, comparing our local MRT to Singapore's? right, very realistic. what a logical person you are. NOT. you mean to tell me, I am asking you guys to believe that the MRT is in perfect shape with nothing needed to be worked on? like your idol, jopoc, you expect perfection and results immediately. all of this to persuade others to vote for the corrupt.

let me ask you guys, do you really think it is easy to make an operation as huge as a rail system run perfectly with limited resources?

  2. Yeah, Mar may not have corruption cases but he is incompetent. It was in his watch as DOTC secretary that the MRT broke down and still continues to break down to this day. In his stint as DILG secretary, he was helpless in the Mamasapano massacre. The least that Roxas could have done was resign since, in my opinion, bastusan na ang nangyari, nagpabastos naman siya dun kay Abnoy.

check out what is being done at the MRT now to correct past failures. of course, you wont believe me. but just like that other poster, I challenge you to get out of your comfortable chair and do some real research on what is going on at the MRT.

this MRT situation may not be about Mar. but it is about throwing allegations and making unfair presumptions.

  3. Fact: No Philippine president has been able to match the number of infrastructures that Marcos did.

and whose value is directly proportional to the amount he pocketed. include in the infrastructure those buildings and complexes poorly planned and are now rotting.

ang babaw mo naman if paramihan lang ng infrastructure ang punto mo. dapat tama ang tinayo at ginawa. hindi paramihan.

and most important, hindi sya dapat yumaman dahil sa tinayo nya.

I know, I know. where is my proof? bla bla. he wasn't convicted. bla bla. I should research. bla bla.

all of that has been answered. mga loyalist lang mahilig magpa-research.

  4. what a waste. hindi na dapat pinag-dedebate ang kalokohan ni marcos. wala namang ginawa mga loyalist kundi ipag-research ang mga anti-marcos. as if alam nila pinagsasabi nila. tapos na lahat yan. kinabukasan na ng bansa ang dapat pinag-uusapan.

won the 1986 elections? the one where the comelec staff walked out? yeah, that is how he has been winning elections. but it had to take the courage of ordinary comelec employees to expose marcos' underhanded tactics.

  5. Easy to nullify? Masyado ka naman bilib kay Cory. Akala ko ba hindi sya magaling? And yet, in such a short time, you think she could manipulate Batasang Pambansa?

It took Marcos many years to take control of critical government agencies and make them do his bidding.

It seems Marcos was the weakling then.

  6. I agree, the problems we have today were caused more by the leaders that replaced APO, than APO himself. Marcos is a convenient bad guy. Is is an escape goat.

Nah. Keep it simple. We do not have to argue about the things you find "debatable". When Marcos left the country was in shambles. No investor would come near us. Business was in deep sh_t. The military was looking for a new leader. Politicians, right or wrong, did not want to have anything to do with Marcos.

In short, he failed. Logic dictates we move on from that. Forget him and his so-called "achievements" that are debatable anyway. Just move on.

Why would anyone stick like glue and support a failed leader? There are many reasons - not one would be sensible or moral.

  7. why is it we seem to expect perfection from our presidents? marcos left the country with humongous debts and problems that an ordinary leader would not be able to solve in one term. and Cory was not the greatest president so let us stop blaming her. her legacy is bringing back our rights to speak and act freely. for that, she is way way better than any Marcos combined.

I blame those who keep supporting the obviously evil and corrupt. it is because these corrupt politicians are still very popular that we are always forced to settle. Erap was still popular so we settled for PNoy. And since Binay & Bongbong are also popular we will most probably be forced to settle again.

for those who seem to have seething hatred for PNoy, I say it is better to have seething hatred for corruption, lying, hypocrisy and thievery. palpak si PNoy. let me emphasize that. but I will take the incremental improvements that our country has experienced with PNoy anytime than a return to a corrupt system that has kept us as a slow, underachieving country.

  8. I am sure you can't verify the "facts" that you posted except that the Philippines was bankrupt.. Put the blame on the IMF? A little research would not hurt.

nope. no need. loyalists always use the "research" card to try to make them sound like they know what they're talking about. the material is all over. not hard to know what really happened.

on some of those facts I posted, the loyalists even verify it themselves.

    add this:

fact: the son of your idol lied about having an oxford degree.

seems to be in the genes, ey?

  9. fact: PHL was bankrupt at the end of FM's term.

fact: he lied about his war exploits and "awards"

fact: he was not man enough to control his wife. at least that is what the loyalists keep using as an excuse. "It was Imelda's fault! Not FM's"!

fact: the amount of infrastructure built can also equate to the amount stolen from kickbacks.

fact: Lee Kuan Yew did not think highly of FM.

fact: FM made up a scenario to give himself reason to declare Martial Law.

fact: the marcos family has a vast amount of wealth which does not equate to the earnings of a president.

fact: the PHL's economy had its ups and downs after Marcos but is so much better now than when Marcos was kicked out.

what was so great about FM again?

  10. pagtyagaan na lang natin remaining term ni PNoy. but please, let us not go back to obvious thieves and/or grandstanders.

our economy is on an upswing in spite of a mediocre president. no matter how intelligent our previous leaders were, our country sunk to lower depths because priority was always to steal.

problem is, there seems to be very few choices in the horizon.

  11. federer just has to find his motivation again. imagine, he has done almost everything. most of the records that matter are his. i hope he can find a way out of this rut.
