Little Johnny
Honestly, I'm using it.. to me it's ok naman... though there are some negative feedbacks. Quote Link to comment
docjuwe
my experience with not-so-smart wifi or their "repackaged/renamed" not-so-smart bro?....my day will not be complete without my calls to their not-so-technical support staff....if you try it, which i suggest you only do if you want your days to be wasted calling their not-so-technical support staff, you will realize what the word "RAGE" really means....your vocabulary will suddenly be enriched with not-so-smart and not-so-nice words....if you like being put on hold for countless minutes while you have better things to do.....if you like complaining....if you like that your conversation with your loved ones from abroad be suddenly "cut"....if you like to keep calling not-so-smart's customer service to complain only to be told that they have "technical difficulties" (which you, believe me on this, will most likely ask yourself why did you even get this not-so-smart service!!!).....if you like that your downloads never gets completed.....if you like getting responses like: "sir, wala naman hong problema dito sa base station, baka ho yung pc niyo ang may problema", "sir, ni-report ko na po ito sa technical staff namin, hintay na lang po kayo ng tawag galing sa kanila" (kaya nga ako tumatawag kasi, TATLONG LINGGO NA AKONG NAGREREKLAMO!), "sir, sinabi ko na po sa technical staff namin"...and when you finally get someone to go to your place to look at "their" setup....the saga continues....."sir, sira pala yung lancard mo e" (iho, kabibili lang ng pc ko!)....."sir, hindi marunong yung nagkabit ng antenna mo".......and a bunch of other "excuses" and "horror stories"......may i add that their technical support staff needs to get training in the personality department (most of them have personalities of a ballpen)...if you like hurting yourself and would like to experience the things we had and are still going thorugh, then go ahead and get this service..... sigurado ko masasabi mo na lang sa sarili mo: its SIMPLY AMAZING! Little Johnny
There you goes.. I said it, there are those who are unhappy. What is best is to check it out thoroughly... You ask me, I'll say it's OK since I don't have problems.. I surf everyday using SmartBro (which I'm using right now).. Others will tell it's full of s@%t! Quote Link to comment

lomex32
Thanks for sharing But what are exactly the problems you experienced e.g. disconnected? slow? What was the problem that prolonged for 3 weeks? my experience with not-so-smart wifi or their "repackaged/renamed" not-so-smart bro?....my day will not be complete without my calls to their not-so-technical support staff....if you try it, which i suggest you only do if you want your days to be wasted calling their not-so-technical support staff, you will realize what the word "RAGE" really means....your vocabulary will suddenly be enriched with not-so-smart and not-so-nice words....if you like being put on hold for countless minutes while you have better things to do.....if you like complaining....if you like that your conversation with your loved ones from abroad be suddenly "cut"....if you like to keep calling not-so-smart's customer service to complain only to be told that they have "technical difficulties" (which you, believe me on this, will most likely ask yourself why did you even get this not-so-smart service!!!).....if you like that your downloads never gets completed.....if you like getting responses like: "sir, wala naman hong problema dito sa base station, baka ho yung pc niyo ang may problema", "sir, ni-report ko na po ito sa technical staff namin, hintay na lang po kayo ng tawag galing sa kanila" (kaya nga ako tumatawag kasi, TATLONG LINGGO NA AKONG NAGREREKLAMO!), "sir, sinabi ko na po sa technical staff namin"...and when you finally get someone to go to your place to look at "their" setup....the saga continues....."sir, sira pala yung lancard mo e" (iho, kabibili lang ng pc ko!)....."sir, hindi marunong yung nagkabit ng antenna mo".......and a bunch of other "excuses" and "horror stories"......may i add that their technical support staff needs to get training in the personality department (most of them have personalities of a ballpen)...if you like hurting yourself and would like to experience the things we had and are still going thorugh, then go ahead and get this service..... sigurado ko masasabi mo na lang sa sarili mo: its SIMPLY AMAZING! Thanks. Good for you then .... any problems that you however encountered? prolonged? your experience with support people? There you goes.. I said it, there are those who are unhappy. Good for you then .... any problems that you however encountered? prolonged? your experience with support people? Thanks xcalibr.I had my uncle on this and Smart office already called me up for the schedule ....... but until i sign and pay .... i will keep my options openmy problems with not-so-smart BRO to name a few: right now, i'm only averaging 1.5kb/sec which is way below what they are advertising..i was better off using dial-up....no sense paying the extra money for an expected "premium" service that you, or i for the matter, will probably never get.....i've complained about this since DAY 1 which was April 11, 2006 and i've asked their not-so-bright technical support staff if they even know how long has it been since i started complaining....lo and behold, i get the same "canned" answer every time i complain, "sir, ini-refer ko na po ito sa technical staff namin"....also, there is this "glitch hour" that i know NOT-SO-SMART BRO is very consistent of....every day my connection goes totally "zero" between 1pm -2pm...and when i do find the time to complain, i get the same "canned" answer: "sir, ini-refer ko na po ito sa technical staff namin". sometimes they can be creative and would come up with a different answer: "we're experiencing technical difficulties sir"...and oh, before i forget, i should say that i asked NOT-SO-SMART BRO if i can cancel my service with them...i was told that i have to pay the remainder of my "tie-in" period which is one year.....so in a nutshell, here is my very screwed situation: i've wasted my money for the last 4 months and i have to pay them another 8 months worth of VERY USELESS service just to be able to get OUT.... if you want to join the club, be my guest there was a topic before here in MTC about subscribers banding together to form a lobby group of some sort to protest to the NTC. i don't know what happened to that thread....one thing is for sure though, like i've said in my previous post, masasabi mo na lang sa sarili mo: It's SIMPLY AMAZING! bantz03
sa akin naman pinababayad ako 1999 pero sabi ng friend ko 999 lang daw kailangan upon first subscription kaya umayaw n lang ako Quote Link to comment
lomex32
Thank you bantz03, i will take note of this... Ganun din ang sabi 999 but if they willpull my leg to 1999 ..... it will blow up my budget.. and tell them to cancel my request sa akin naman pinababayad ako 1999 pero sabi ng friend ko 999 lang daw kailangan upon first subscription kaya umayaw n lang ako Thank you again 1. I am not sure how you tested/arrived at the 1.5kb/sec. Such delays may be attributed to the SERVERand some point in the path from you PC to that server.Meaning even if Smart will give you a blast on their link, the delay may have been caused by the SERVERyou are trying to access or somewhere along the path to that server (Not smart) may have been congested my problems with not-so-smart BRO to name a few: right now, i'm only averaging 1.5kb/sec which is way below what they are advertising..i was better off using dial-up....no sense paying the extra money for an expected "premium" service that you, or i for the matter, will probably never get..... 2. Indeed... Not to downplay our Tech Support people in the industry .... 2.1 They are not equipped with the right attitude to describe the problem/solution to the customer.2.2 They are trained to describe the problem/solution in words or in writing or both.2.3 perhaps they are not knowledgeable at all ....i've complained about this since DAY 1 which was April 11, 2006 and i've asked their not-so-bright technical support staff if they even know how long has it been since i started complaining....lo and behold, i get the same "canned" answer every time i complain, "sir, ini-refer ko na po ito sa technical staff namin".. 3. Indeed, the glitch hour becomes so routine i will defer my payment until they rectify their problem.Mabuti na umabot sa Legal o sa Presidente ung problema.Anyway my uncle (by affinity) works in Operations Dept in SMART .... kung magkakaganon perhapsi will ask his help. also, there is this "glitch hour" that i know NOT-SO-SMART BRO is very consistent of....every day my connection goes totally "zero" between 1pm -2pm...and when i do find the time to complain, i get the same "canned" answer: "sir, ini-refer ko na po ito sa technical staff namin". In order to share SMART Bro's internet connection, you need to have a router. This is because SMART Bro's base station associates the connection with the connected machine's MAC address. Once it is associated with the router's MAC address, you can then user the router to share the connection. This is not advised though since the current speed of SMART's offering is too low to be shared with more than 2 computers. (this is just my opinion though...) :headsetsmiley: Edited September 9, 2006 by R@v3n Quote Link to comment
