150 runners, 1000 kms for the heart of one very special 5 year old.

Takbo para kay Nessa is a fund raising activity being sponsored by
Probe Productions for the heart operation of Nessa, the daughter of
Probe Productions Inc beloved soundman Tsiong Ladera. Nessa has a
congenital heart disease that needs an immediate operation.

We need 150 runners to run at least 3 rounds of the UP Academic Oval
(6.6 kms) for a total of 1000kms on Sunday Oct 1,2006. The event will
be featured on Game Plan.

Corporate Sponsors should pledge at least Php 10,000.00 should PPI
meet its 1000km goal. Individual sponsors can pledge any amount.

Please call Beth Manalaysay at 922-9273 or email us at
bmanalaysay@probeprod.com

forgive my math skills...so how many will each runner run? 6.6k x 3 rounds? :P

I'm interested to join the fundraising race. As a matter of fact, I already emailed Ms. Beth.

There is another charity event, I think it's called Gabriel's Symphony, in honor of Sen Pia's deceased son Gabriel. It's a day-long event where participants may opt to run, walk and/or bike.

tiring...after 5k, i thought of quitting particularly when buenavista was almost right behind our heels...:D that guy is a HORSE!

while i did see donita, g toengi, senadora pia and other yummy girl runners, my mind was focused on finishing...as did the rest of the 2000+ pack...

finished in 58:17...not bad considering i was expecting 1:20:00 for my time...GREAT RACE!

btw, how do i see the final results of the race? do they have a website?

I did it in 49'20". I ran better compared to last year's where I clocked 54'30" for the same distance though the course was different. Last year's Adidas was held in Fort Bonifacio which had a challenging part - flyover from Ft Boni Global to Gil Puyat Mkti and vice versa. It was flat in MOA all throughout the race.

They used to have a website, however, I can't find the one specifically made for the 2006 race.

I'll try to look around for the results. My triathlon e-group posts results of races and other similar events.

I was expecting Fred Uytengsu to run. He joined the New Balance Run All You Can party last February in Fort Bonifacio together with his fellow Alaska Triathlon Team members. But I saw 3 Alaska team triathletes kasama na yung dalawang yummy gurls. Hehehe

Pareng Koopahl, your 58'17" wasn't bad either. In fact I think it's a mighty feat for a 40+ y.o runner who doesn't do it regularly. And considering that your sex life is more active hehehe. I'm guessing you gobbled lots of balut before the race eh?

my motto is run to finish...that's it...whether it takes you the entire cut-off time to finish a race, its fine as long as you did finish it...

you run because you want to, not because you have to...and forget eduardo buenavista who was born with horse's legs...:P
