I bought nike shox elevate tb last year... got a nasty sprain last summer...  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:  so much for ankle protection...  :grr:  :grr:  :grr:  do you guys know any good ballshoes with superior ankle protection?

I'm sorry to disappoint you guys but whatever shoe you may use, there is no such thing as a built in ankle protection system. No such thing. This has been proven time and again in various sports medicine journals published internationaly. What has been proven though is that high cut shoes enables one to have a faster reaction time in correcting the angle of one's foot after a jump because one can feel the pressure of the sides of the shoe on the malleoli (the bony protuberances on the sides of your ankle). The only thing significantly proven to decrease the incidence of sprains is proper ankle taping by a trained individual. You may not like it, though, because it severely restricts movement and takes a lot of getting used to. Ankle supports of the lace-up or velcro-tightend type are next. The elastic neoprene type of ankle support acts very much like a tight high cut shoe. Shoes you might want to avoid are those with soft, bouncy soles, especially if they are high soles. The closer your foot is to the ground, the less the chances of twisting it.

An interesting factoid aboout the 2K4 is that it was originally planned as Kobe Bryant's first signature shoe from Nike. The circular white cap protruding from the lateral side of the heel counter was supposed to bear Bryant's jersey number "8", giving the shiny heel counter the appearance of an eight ball. But, as everyone knows, Bryant became entangled in a certain legal imbroglio and so the cap is instead imprinted with Nike's stylized Huarache logo. -kicksology.net

Guys, guys, Just wondrin about the number "8" on the heel of the huarache 2k4. Kasi I have a FAKE huarache 2k4 in the red/black/white colorway that has the number 8 on the heel. Kasi di pa ko nakakkita ng iba pang huarache 2k4s na may number 8 sa heels. Have you guys seen other huarache 2k4s with the number 8 at the heel? o ako lang meron nito considering na fake yung huarache 2k4 ko? By the way my shoe is great for balling used it 6 times in play 3 times sa cement 3 times din sa tabla.

Ano kaya itsura ng Hurache 2k6. Sana next na jordan maganda design. Lately ang pangit ng mga design na lumalabas. ang sabi si jordan daw nagdedesign ng mga shoes nya. Sana mga nike designers na lng. Si jordan sa paglalaro lang magaling hindi sa pag hahawak ng team at pag dedesign ng shoes.

 

Yung mga Gumagamit ng Fake ok ba? Pag suot nyo ba comfortable? Ewan ko pero pag Nike pag Fake parang ayoko bumili kahit sobrang mura.

For Nike: try the Cortez, Ace and Metro series.. yung medyo prominent yung swoosh...

        and the retro Jordan low-cuts..

For Pony - yung mga gamit ni Francis M. are kinda cool..

For Converse - syempre high cut na chucks (particularly the red, and blue ones)

For Puma - old school Puma's and some canvass stuff

For Addidas - old school din.. superstar, etc.

 

Pwede lahat ito sa shorts or maong pants..

Oo nga you're risking injury if you're wearing fake shoes. Abang na lang sale kung gusto mo makamura w/c I usually do. Matiyaga ka lang dapat mag-ikot ng branches to find your size.

Ung bagong tmac ung color parang gamusa ung material nya. Ang experience ko sa ganyang material madaling masira. Pero sana hindi ganoon ung sa adidas tmac. Naglabas na kaya ng fake na Lebron 3.

FYI, on "customs, samples, variants"

1. They have a different smell. (Amoy pandikit)

2. They use different materials. (Sa unang tingin parang pareho lang pero pag kinapa mo iba ang feel)

3. They don't have half sizes. (Puro whole sizes lang 8, 9, 10...)

4. The sizes are a size smaller than what is suppose to be. (Kapag size 10 ka, kailangan mo ng size 11 para mag fit sayo)

an added note to fakes. im not sure kung ganito rin sa sapatos. bumili ako dati ng fake sandals na nike after wearing it for a few days nagkasugat ung paa ko. that was the last draw. di na ako bibili ng fake ulit.
