am using avant browser... its kinda cool specially with its tootls which can translate some of foreign web pages... its also free so no problem with updates... only thing is it doesnt have a download manager to go with it... nice thing is that it already had tabs even before internet explorer came out with it... :cool:

opera. already has a built-in download manager and torrent client.

Opera 9.5 Alpha is out. You guys might want to check it out. I've been using it and seems like the pages load even faster.

No offense to Netscape users, but I feel that the Netscape browser is bloatware. Opera and Firefox are still the top browsers to use.

If you are a great fan of WAP sites, use Opera. WAP sites are sites accessible via mobile phones.

Avant is technically not a browser. It's an application on top of Internet Explorer engine.

 

Firefox is still the best for customization. But yeah, it's a memory hog. Even at 2GB of RAM my Firefox slows down after hours of use (especially after viewing lots of pics here at MTC). This is actually Firefox's feature. It saves the cache in the Memory instead of the Disk for faster access. But Firefox is so customizable, you can disable this feature if you don't want it.

Anything built on top a IE is going to be buggy and most likely slow.

 

Firefox is sweet, but I hate the slow down issues after a heavy surfing session.

 

If you want a quick and light browser, I still submit that Opera is a pretty sweet ride.
