Flash Sentry
I finally switched to Firefox as well. It's great so far, though experience at work showed me that there are some things that can't be done with it that IE can. Quote Link to comment
cool_as_ice
Here's how tu speed up youre firefox 10x faster, tested and approved by 10 of my friends (repost ko lang agling sa ibang forum) 1. Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit enter. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading. 2. Alter the entries as follows: Set "network.http.pipelining" to "true"Set "network.http.proxy.pipelining" to "true" set "network.http.pipelining.maxrequests" to some number like 30. This means it will make 30 requests at once. 3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" and set its value to "0". This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it recieves. or Make FireFox Faster --------------------------------------------------------------------------1.Type "about:config" into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries: network.http.pipeliningnetwork.http.proxy.pipeliningnetwork.http.pipelining.maxrequestsand browser.turbo.enabled Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. FOR XP USERS SEEKING FASTER FIREFOX LOADTIMES: Within the Firefox "shortcut" icon properties add /Prefetch:1 (outside the quotation marks) of the 'target. For example: my target is "D:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /Prefetch:1 If you're using a broadband connection you'll load pages MUCH faster now! Matratrace ka pa rin ng IT because lumulusot ka pa rin sa proxy. but let's face it.. ang IT namin here sa office seldom (if rarely) checks on what sites are visited. right now gamit ko ghostzilla (GHOST mode right now :boo: ). Looks like nagwowork but actually nag MTC pala. Ive got sooo many close calls with Ghostzilla as compared to when I was using standard firefox browsers. no more ALT+F4 to close the window or ALT+tab to switch to another window; masyadong obvious kasi eh. I simply drag my mouse pointer off the work window and poof!!! no visible evidence. Quote Link to comment
