Actually if you are a frequent traveler, you will realize how overpriced the Philippines is. The only Asian countries more expensive than the Philippines are probably Singapore and Korea. Hotels and food in Japan are probably just at par with the prices here.

If you're a solo traveler, going abroad can be as cheap as a trip to Palawan or Boracay. You can adjust your accommodation, shopping and food according to your liking. Remember that the only real fixed expenses are the airfare, the hotel and the transportation. For example I only spent 100K on my Hong Kong trip and that already includes a lot of visits to massage parlors.

But if you're with your family, ibang usapan na. Everything is X4 and hindi maiiwasan ang shopping which I think makes travel expensive.

100% FACTS

Can't say I'm passionate about traveling, but I've been to some nice places. I like how travel broadens my perspective, and I enjoy learning from people with different backgrounds.

I'll be flying to Edinburgh soon and spending a month there, which I'm really looking forward to since it's my first time. I might take a side trip to London and Dublin, if I'm not too lazy.

I guess I’m lucky to have travelled to most of our tourist spots nung medyo affordable pa. At that time, airfare was cheaper and accommodations were also reasonable.

For me, sumikat kasi sa SocMed and YT through vlogs yung mga spots to visit which drove people there. It should’ve drove the cost down but for some reason it did not which is weird. Baka yung influx ng foreigners siguro? IDK.

I still have a few more in my list and I tried planning a trip nga kaso totoo ngang mas mura na to go abroad kasi halos same ang cost. Tapos sa ibang bansa makakaexperience ka pa ng kakaibang culture. Hirap tuloy piliin local spots.

Invest in good luggage like Rimowa. For long haul flights, airport look could make or break your comfort. Make sure you wear comfortable loose clothing when you know you have a long stopover or if your flight in general is +4 hours. Bring a good book, download podcast or movies to keep you entertained. Don’t forget chargers and power bank should be in arms reach, always charge your phone or power bank when you can in airports.

Eco-traveling is the only way to go! Act and look smart at all times when traveling...talk and mingle with other people along the way,be witty and nice.In my experience travel is a target rich environment for whatever you desire! Some came in expensive, some reasonable but most of the time almost cost you nothing!
