What's Your Current Pc System ?

Recommended Posts

I need help / advice on to what parts I should be buying and what will be the specs, as I am planning to buy a new System Unit specifically for Gaming (Ultra settings), Video editing, programming.

My budget for System Unit only is 60k - 70k(MAX). Also recommend me 2 Monitors (Brand and Dimension for this set up).

Last Spec I got:

i7 Skylake non-k series

GTX 1060 6GB (Cause GPU skyrocketed damn miners)

32GB Ram

12TB of HDD

1x 120 SSD

1x 512 SSD

I was aiming to help my daughter build a rendering desktop. But she chose to use my ROG laptop instead because of mobility and portability wise. If I can just stretch my budget I will go 1070s on the GPU. Will not go 1080's or any 8-series as they're too expensive. 70's are way better.

Started build when i-series was only in it's 3rd gen from budget brands to the mainstream brands. Gilmore is still the best place to buy all your stuff.

Am still aiming to get a powerful itx build with NAS supporting it. Hoping the chief of house/budget permits me to.

just a simple lenovo T4xx series. i5 8gig ram ssd 500 running on Ubuntu Linux Mate.

Firewall. Firefox Security Plugins. I play games on console or android. PC gaming, not for me kasi. Medyo ayaw ok mag invest time sa gaming na ma oobliged kang mag games ng mag games like MMORPG.

Choose Linux for the reason, safer, secured, more stable. Pero I still believe in Windows in a way na okay pa rin MS Outlook, MS Office, Dota (not playing this) and gaming, Photoshop and Video Editors.

For windows apps, I would advice to have a separate laptop for that. I have rin pero it's for work. dun ko na ininstall yung office and Photoshop. I do not do video editing nowadays.

Just to advise, do not do Dual Boot. kasi pag nagkasira si Windows. Buy laptop na highly compatible kay Linux like Lenovo and Dell para simple install and mostly everything is working.

then pwede ka pa, mag TOR Browser. Merong TOR sa windows pero I prefer dito na. para double double security and firewall and OS is more secured.

may isa pang magandang setup. for me lang to ah. buy lenovo thinkpad T Series that was released from 2017 onwards. or even 2016, not bad na. SSD and minimum of 8gig ram.

May thunderbolt Type-C port yan.

Salba palagi main PC mo.

Pero mag bebenefit ka rin naman kasi para sakin. kasi ayaw kong nagdadala nang mabigat na device like a gaming laptop. It defeats the purpose na may laptop ka kung mabigat.

Setup ko, linux running on Lenovo Thinkpad.
I play games on Console, Android. Not a fan of IPhone kahit meron ako. ang ending iniwan ko na lang sa bahay. Ipad meron. useful sa netflix pag nasa labas o pag nasa kama lols.

Apple? okay rin pero not so okay.
