What's Your Current Pc System ?

Recommended Posts

Hmmm, if you plan to get a good set of speakers, I honestly suggest you go with the new Logitechs now. Altec Lansing's current speakers releases leave much to be desired. I like my satellites to be full bore drivers, not dinky two inch tweeters. I've used a lot of speakers and honestly, no PC speakers has yet to beat the ACS 621 in terms of pure music quality (except maybe the Promedia 2.1s pero thats another story). Sad to say, Altec Lansing no longer makes speakers the way they used to. Logitech however, has been slowly improving their product line, with the Z series getting much better. I'd suggest you get the Z-5300. Not sure if those have optical inputs though. Pero i've listened to them personally and man, be ready to have some tissue paper on hand. You'll piss once you hear these babies play. The bass response is unreal, masakit sa dibdib, hehehehehe! And they only sell for a little over 10K. If i werent such a gamer, I'd be gotten these instead of having purchased a 9800XT a few months back

Ill hunt down a review, teka lang...

the z-5300 doesnt have digital inputs. we are deciding on either z-5300 or the z-680.however there is a new model z-5500(almost same specs as z-680) but im not sure if it is locally available.we havent auditioned any of the speakers mentioned above but from what i read they are very good spearkers. :)

well, if you have nearly 18K to burn, i'd suggest you get the Z-680s. absolutely nothing beats it. i'd get it over the Klipsch Promedia 5.1s. i've heard it and it absolutely rocks. you will feel the ground rumble when its bass rolls, hehehehe

WTF!! now THIS is a PERSONAL COMPUTER!!!  :boo:

 Tenks!

It's a gaming machine for the most part! My GF complains that it's just an expensive Playstation!

I do have multimedia editing capabilities and two DEV programs for two games. Other than that, if you're just surfing the net with this monster, you're using it all wrong. It preffers fragging people on-line.

Anyone else builds gaming machines here?

Yeah, I agree with you as far as the price. That's why I try to upgrade (some parts, not all) every six months or longer. Knowing how fast technology is, my PC would be absolete in about six months and in about a year, it's nothing but a laughing stock. Heck my tower is almost four years old!

Not to mention, that games nowadays (like Doom III) have such high requirements. Some games, even offers a lower setting if you have a 'sub-standard' computer just so you buy and play their game.

I just hated it that I missed details and effects when I used to have a 'sub-par' machine. :grr:

So, I guess, it does take some partying money to upgrade the computer, but in the end it's worth it. My gf complains I spend more money on my PC than her. She said I should just go on a date with my PC this weekend. I said, I plan on it!

Ayus yan ah!

I do go to lan parties that explains why my tower is all scratched and dinged-up. I was even thinking of spray-painting my tower to cover-up some scratches. I like going to lan parties but I only do it during summer. (school and GF prevents me)

Yeah, take a picture of the interior! The heart and soul of a PC! The only picture gamers like you and me really appreciates!
