labadabdab
And of course, ang classic, Kung Mangarap Ka't Magising". Memories talaga...... Quote Link to comment
storm
I remember there's a song popularized by Tito, Vic and Joey (correct me if I'm wrong) about Basketball. Basketball, tayo'y magbasketballAng larong usung-uso ngayon.
Nalunod tung thread. Quote Link to comment
photographer
Wasn't JAWORSKI and REYNOSO Banned for Life for game fixing? which..was eventually lifted? I remember overhearing my parents to talk about it. Meron bang nakakaalam ni details nito? or may nakakaalala?====================================================================== jawo and Big Boy were banned for life for beating referees Cruz and Obias. Saw this game live! it all started when Meralco, ayon sa kanila, niluluto yung game. After Big Boy Reynoso was assessed with a charging foul on Jun Papa, all hell broke loose. Mainit na nuon then all of a sudden, Big Boy slammed the ball into the face of Cruz then Jawo joined the melee and kicked and punched Obias. Tayuan ang buong benches and it took minutes to calm things down. When all calmed down, may nagtapon ng kuting (kitten) sa court at dun napunta naman ang attention ng crowd. Mind you, wala pang hag wire sa bleachers during that time so maski anong hawak ng tao, binabato sa court. Players were usually escorted sa dugout with securities holding umbrellas. Those were the days. Quote Link to comment

I remember when a jolly green rookie by the name of Edgardo Carvajal from JRC came into MICAA, he blocked most of the national team players during the time. Carvajal is only 6'6" at parang si Feihl maglaro. Yung ysmael steel robot ata, yung nasa Aurora blvd. Parati kong hinahanap yan nuon kapag pupunta kami sa QC. Ganda kasing tingnan. Ang laki laki. Quote Link to comment
Mandrake
============================================================== Oo nga, hindi ko rin maintindihan kung bakit sa ilalim ng goal ang hilig ng pinoys. Danny Florencio ang tinaguriang hari sa ilalim :thumbsupsmiley: Quote Link to comment
photographer
Danny Florencio ang tinaguriang hari sa ilalim :thumbsupsmiley:================================================== The twister sa ilalim ng goal. A pride of UST. Magulong maglaro Quote Link to comment
jt2003
Let's not forget Freddie Hubalde. During his MVP season (1977), he was unstoppable inside. Really unstoppable. As for Carvajal, I believe he suffered an accident that left him in a coma. He hit his head on the board. At the time he was the tallest player in the country. I believe he played for Crispa. Magulong maglaro You're riight about Morales- parang kiti-kiti ang style but effective under the basket esp. when he has Paner (isa pang kilabot sa ilalim) in tandem. But when Estoy Estrada grabs the leather, expect the "buwaya" to do the long-tom. :upside: Sa NC, I can cite Rolly "LastikMan" Marcelo who was also deadly under the goal. Kahit sino pa mga nakapayong sa ilalim, it's amazing how he bends his body to ward off his guards underneath and get the ball in the basket. Quote Link to comment
tabouki
For me the best sa ilalim was Philip Cezar. The fastest naman noong Micaa days was Freddie Webb. Magaling sa steals, interception, layups and assist. Magaling din sa loob si Rudy Soriano. Ang mala-Barkley noon ay si Jimmy "Iron Man" Noblezada. Quote Link to comment
