blow_gobi
Magnolia ice cream house sa aurora. Ah, I remembered this one. We celebrated my daughter's 1st birthday here privately, before we had her party a few days later. I'm not sure though if SERG Chocolates are still around. Too bad, serg's went bankrupt during the Asian financial crisis in late 1990's and was unable to recover. Closed na yung factory nila sa Cainta for several years now. And to think nagkaroon pa sila ng attempted revival mga late 80's. Quote Link to comment

photographer
Since its Independece Day, I bet majority of our senators and congressmen (pati na governors, mayors, basta public officials)doesnt know how to recite the PANATANG MAKABAYAN and/or sing straight our NATIONAL ANTHEM! I remember when I was still in PUP during the 70s, stop ang trapik and lahat ng naglalakad sa kalye kapag may flag raising kami. Ngayon, bale wala na! Quote Link to comment

storm
Matagal ng namayapa ang Goodearth emporium. Buti pa ang Farmer's sa Cubao, alive pa rin! Naalala ko noon nang napunta kami sa bahay ni Gen. Aguinaldo in Cavite, kumain kami sa Josephine's. Quote Link to comment

storm
My first rubber shoes in the 70s: Spartan Custombuilt Jason Tiger Converse All-Star Pre ganda rin ng Tiger. Made in Japan yan. Review ng 1st post ko rito: FASHIONShoes:First time kong makatikim ng Adidas (Vienna, kasi mas gusto kong Red)Glenmore and Wilson kung leather shoes (buhay pa kaya sila?)Wilson Shoes is supposed to be in Detroit St., Cubao. Denim Levi's and Wrangler lang. Or magpatahi ka na lang. American bell pang tawag nun.Tapos lumabas ang Bangbang, Faded Glory T-ShirtsHang Ten, Munsingwear, Collezione, Lacoste, Fred Perry, FILA, Lotto, Sergio Tacchini Nang magcollege ako nakatikim na ko ng Bally, Florsheim, Clarks and Bass na penny loafers. Then sperry topsiders matched with Polo long back. I have friends who still wear boat or deck shoes up to now (topsiders, docksides or timberlands). Mas time warp. Quote Link to comment
