vergaman
any Apple Sidra drinker? Quote Link to comment
storm
Uva was made by Canada dry together with their other citrus sodas like lemon and orange. Meron ding Fanta orange, rootbeer and sprite in can and vendo. I remembered when Mirinda was introduced, nagpaikot ng helicopter sa Manila tapos nag bagsak ng mga y shaped confetti na may 5 centavos sa loob and free mirinda. Meron din noon na Apple Sidra, Cosmos pineapple, Royal tru-orange, tru-lemon and lem-o-lime. Tsaka siempre the smallest bottled softdrink na 7-up. Iba ang lasa ng local coke sa US made coke. Mas gusto ko yung local. Quote Link to comment

photographer
I also remember yung binibili kong "apa" na korteng pamaypay nuon (5 centavos) early 70s, na kapag kinakain mo, may laman na plastic toy sa loob na pang decorasyon sa Christmas Tree. May kabitan pa ng pisi sa ibabaw niya. hahaha. Quote Link to comment
willow_boy
Though this could also be posted on the Music thread, the following was one of my favorite songs from the 70s. Have always found it moving: "Aubrey"(Bread) And Aubrey was her name,A not so very ordinary girl or name. But who's to blame? For a love that wouldn't bloomFor the hearts that never played in tune.Like a lovely melody that everyone can sing,Take away the words that rhyme it doesn't mean a thing. And Aubrey was her name.We tripped the light and danced together to the moon,But where was June.No it never came around. If it did it never made a sound,Maybe I was absent or was listening too fast,Catching all the words, but then the meaning going past. But God I miss the girl,And I'd go a thousand times around the world just to beCloser to her than to me. And Aubrey was her name,I never knew her, but I loved her just the same,I loved her name.Wish that I had found the wayAnd the reasons that would make her stay.I have learned to lead a life apart from all the rest.If I can't have the one I want, Ill do without the best. But how I miss the girlAnd I'd go a million times around the world just to sayShe had been mine for a day. Edited June 9, 2007 by willow_boy Quote Link to comment

I never forget to bring bricks of ChocNut (and Curly Tops) back abroad...although they are now bite-sized, the taste remains unique and yummy. Nakaka addict... :upside: I'm not sure though if SERG Chocolates are still around. Quote Link to comment
storm
Samut-sari: Choc nut and sergs are gawang Malabon. Same goes with white rabbit. Di ko lang alam kung meron pang sergs and white rabbit. My favorite Magnolia ice cream then were brown derby, fruit pluff and scyscraper. 2 scoops lang kaya mas mura. Melba-banana split naman kung share with my ka-date or syota. I saw Mr T of the A-Team in Martha yesterday. Same hair, gone were the blings though. Napa brings back memories of Falcon Crest. Passing by the crooked street brings back memories of "The Street of San Francisco". Seeing Loren in the newspaper brings back memories of UP. Quote Link to comment
