Hekate
I've read about the new "whitebooks", the so-called DIY notebooks. If I could sell my current unit, I think I'll give one a try. Quote Link to comment

grinchx452
I got a Vaio PCG-FRV37, its a good desktop replacement since I'm often on the move and can't drag along my PC. Its got a combo burner, 60 gig HD, 512mb ram and 2.8 ghz processor. Only drawback is that its kind of heavy and battery time is not that long. Hence, I keep it plugged in at my current home. No installed w-fi too so I have a separate linksys wi-fi pc card. So, I got a Fujitsu 4020D tablet for mobile work. Its great on planes were sometimes seats are crammed-up! Quote Link to comment

Screwtape
For me, best bang for buck is still Dell. And if you have the chance, buy your laptops in Singapore coz it's way way cheaper there. Sometimes the price difference can go up to around PHP 15-20K (of course these are for the beefy ones). Quote Link to comment
