Jason Martin Posted January 22 Share Posted January 22 Metalhead since Grade 5 (2005) I was a purist before and thought that metal is about just screaming without clean vocals with just heavy riffs. But when I dug deeper, without the pioneers such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Metallica, etc., there will be no subgenres of metal such as Death Metal, Thrash Metal, Metalcore, Deathcore, etc. Metal music is broad and versatile.
