What's So Special About Starbucks?

It's like mcdonald's - nothing special on its own but comforting in that you know what to expect. I'm not a big fan of the quality of the coffee, but when I'm on the road its nice to go into a familar place, have a decent ('tho not great) cup of coffee and relax.

NOTHING is special about starbux. nagkataon lang US label na naman, kaya dinumog ng pinoy.

quite sad really hehehe. pero you can't deny the fact that it was starbucks who first gained mainstream popularity amongst pinoys. parang jollibee vs. other fastfood lang yan e. malaking factor din ung kung sino nauna everything else being equal (food, service, ambiance). and to add, iba rin ang brand ng starbucks. hehehe. sino nga ba naman ang gustong pumunta sa isang similar coffee shop named mang totoy's kape atbp.. :thumbsupsmiley:

Their coffee is okay, but Starbucks is my fave coffee shop because the baristas are nice and friendly. They make getting a cup of coffee better. I used to frequent another coffee shop but their baristas were just annoying, like we were getting in on their nerves by ordering.

No offense taken. Kasama na yung dahil US brand siya hehehe. I was just pointing to the fact that it got mainstream first kaya siya naging "special" regardless of it being a pinoy or us brand.

sa pinoy lng nmn treated ang starbucks as an "ELITE COFFEE SHOP" na pa sosi un karamihan sa crowds.. pero in the US its so common lng pati un mga beggars nga sa US starbucks kape nila eh.. its just the mentality of us pinoys which put starbuck in the pedestal.. IMHO i like coffee's from other coffee shops.. Taste better and also cheaper..
