UFC is having a hard time legalizing MMA in other states in the US (especially in NY). And to see a woman bleeding profusely in the cage would not help that cause at all. And to have a women MMA fight as an event headliner, ahead of the originally proposed HW and WW title fight is just absurd. I will not be surprised if some of the fighters faked their injury to get out of that event. With all due respect sir, I can't agree with your views on women's MMA. And your last statement, it hints on discrimination to be honest. Why would someone feign an injury just because 2 women are headlining? That's just absurd. If women's MMA should not be considered, women's boxing should not be considered as well. Same with the WNBA. Hell, all sports with women on it should not be considered anymore if we're gonna follow that logic. Why can't women fight in MMA? That question reeks of the stereotype that women should be confined to one specific purpose in this world. One thought that just sprung up: most guys (probably you too) love seeing women get f****d and videotaped while doing it, but a woman fighitng another woman is taboo? I was hoping Carano would win (for obvious reasons) but deep down I felt Cyborg had too much power. So no surprise. Mussasi was the surprise for me.
