I do not expect our next president to be perfect. For sure he will make mistakes, he will have critics, he will definitely have enemies. To top that all its really really reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally hard to please the people being president. Sige nga? Sinong propeta ba na umupo sa malacanang since Marcos ang hinihirang ng lahat na Bayani? Lahat naman sila sablay. But let me enlist the things I would expect from the new President   1. Stop playing divide and conquer. Huwag pagsabungin mayayaman sa mahih

ang importante magkaroon n bayag ang presidente diretchahin yun mga manggagawa na pinaasa niya na hindi niya kayang tuparin ang pinangako hindi yun paasa pa na maglalabas ng EO tapos urong-sulong dahil hindi naman talaga magagawa ang isang bagay na taliwas sa batas via EO. ang pinakaimportante tigilan mo ang kasisipsip ng bayag ng pangulo baka sakali lumitaw ito.

Ang pinalalabas mo, ay hindi kayang tuparin ng Presidente ang pangako nya sa endo.

 

Ang totoo, kayang tuparin ng Presidente, pero matapos siyang pagpaliwanagan ng economic advisers nya, hindi nya tinupad dahil nakumbinsi sya na hindi ito makakaganda sa ating pangkalahatang ekonomiya.

 

Di ba yan din ang gusto mo? Na wag alisin ang endo?

 

Pero gusto mong humingi ng tawad sa taumbayan ang Presidente sa ginawa nya na ikaw naman mismo ay sang-ayon na tama para sa bayan.

 

Hindi endo ang issue mo. Gusto mo lang ipangatwiran na doble-kara at walang bayag ang Presidente. Maling issue ang pinili mong gamitin. Sablay ka na naman.

ang sabi ng mga tards di kayang taousin ang endo ng pangulo kasi nasa batas yan at kinakailangan ang kongreso ang siyang gumawa ng panukalang tanggalin ito. on the other hand you are saying kayang tuparin ng pangulo...ano ba talaga kuya???

ayan ka na naman camiar eh. Hindi ba sinabi ng presidente na ipapatigil niya ang endo during campaign period? Kaya nga bumango siya sa working class dahil sa pangako niya na yon eh. So tell me, natupad ba? Hindi di ba? Unlike his deadline sa pag end ng drug menace na siya mismo ang nagsabi in public na hindi kaya ng 6 months. Eh bakit ang hindi 100% endo ang hindi niya sinabi sa public na "sorry at hindi ko kaya na ipatigil completely ang endo" ganun lang camiar. Simple lang di ba? Yun may bayag siya na aminin sa publiko na hindi tlaga kaya. Maunawain naman ang mga pinoy eh. Si gloria nga nagtagal la pagkatapos ng "i am sorry" stint niya sa tv. Yung idol mo pa kaya?

What's the use of apologizing?

 

When he made the promise, he was not yet the President. He did not have the overall view of the issue. But when he got it, he decided on the correct move.

 

Do you want him to apologize for it?

 

Gusto mong lang pahiyain yung tao, For what end?

 

IMO, to apologize and admit that mistake was made is humility. Respect will be gained, not embarassment.

 

True he was not the President when he made that promise. He was a candidate vying for votes and making promise(s) to clinch the votes. So is it okay to make grandiose promises and not have a grasp of facts because one is not the President yet? Those promises were believed and people voted for it. Then if one cannot deliver on those promises, apology is useless? I beg to disagree.

 

A presidential campaign has staff that mimics an actual presidential cabinet to some extent to provide input and advise to the candidate on key issues and campaign promises. So not having "an overall view of the issue" is an argument that is difficult to fly especially with a hot button issue that is ENDO.

 

One of his campaign's big promises was to end the drug problem in 6 months. His election opponents were in unison that it is not possible. He pressed on and got voters to rally behind that he is the man with the plan. We now know that his plan is what human rights advocate is now howling on which perhaps did not cross their mind that bullets are what will implement his plan. Nevertheless, six months passed and he asked for extension then stated that the problem may not be even solved during his entire presidency.

 

He campaigned on these promises and votes were cast on these promises. When one cannot deliver, man up and apologize. No finger pointing. No push back and throwing out labels to those asking for accountability and calling out names for not supporting the president. No push back and saying i was just joking.
