keyth^ Posted October 3, 2004 Share Posted October 3, 2004 i just wanna ask something... who is entitled to have a SSS? kasi sa previous job ko they let me have my SSS number. pro ganon lang. 6 months prob before ma regular. i only stayed there for 4 months. some people asked me if i have SSS already. meron ako kaso number lng kasi my previous company walang sinabi sa amin anything about it and sa salary nmin walang nklagay na amount sa SSS. sabi kasi kaya wala pa daw ako SSS kasi hindi pa daw ako regular sa job ko? is it true and ganon b tlga yung policy? hope u can help me about this. thanks! Coverage of Employees a. A private employee, whether permanent, temporary or provisional, who is not over 60 years old, is subject to compulsory coverage. b. On Sept. 1, 1993, SSS provided for the coverage of household helpers earning at least P1,000 a month. A household helper is any person who renders domestic services exclusively to a household such as a driver, gardener, cook, or governess and other similar occupations. c. A Filipino seafarer should be covered by the SSS upon the signing of the standard contract of employment between the seafarer and the manning agency, together with the foreign ship owner as employers. This ruling was upheld by the Philippine Supreme Court in the case of Ben Sta. Rita vs. The Court of Appeals, the People of the Philippines and the SSS, General Report Nos. 119891, 247 Supreme Court Records Annotated 484 dated Aug. 21, 1995. Such standard contract, which stipulates for the SSS coverage of Filipino seafarers was required for overseas employment pursuant to a Memorandum of Agreement between the SSS and the Department of Labor and Employment signed on July 14, 1988. d. An employee of a foreign government, international organization or their wholly-owned instrumentality based in the Philippines, which entered into an administrative agreement with the SSS for the coverage of its Filipino workers, is subject to compulsory coverage. e. With the approval of the Social Security Act of 1997 or RA 8282, effective May 24, 1997, the parent, spouse or child below 21 years old, of the owner of a single proprietorship business is subject to compulsory coverage. f. Children below 15 years of age are also subject to compulsory coverage under RA 8282. A monthly report is required for submission to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), if a child below 15 years old is reported for SSS coverage without a working permit. 2. Coverage of Employers a. An employer, or any person who uses the services of another person in business, trade, industry or any undertaking must be registered with the SSS. Social, civic, professional, charitable and other non-profit organizations, which hire the services of employees, are considered "employers." b. A foreign government, international organization or their wholly owned instrumentalities such as embassies based in the Philippines, may enter into a memorandum of agreement with the SSS on a voluntary basis, for the coverage of its Filipino employees. bukn0y Posted October 5, 2004 Share Posted October 5, 2004 meron ako dating loan pero since na stop ako ng work di na sya nabayaran.. ngayon meron na akong work ulit what should i do para ma deduct na ulit yung utang ko sa loan ko from my current salary. by the way yung dati kong company na pinapasukan eh di nakapag bigay ng mga remmitance ko so ano ba mga dapat kong ibigay sa HR namin para ma bawasan na nila ako ulit ng deductions from my previous loan? aymfreety Posted October 5, 2004 Share Posted October 5, 2004 About how long does it usually take for a salary loan 2 b processed & approved? btw, i already have here the data of my contributions since 1997-2004.FYI:In 1997,i only had contribution for the month of Apr.;then my ff. contribution was in Feb.-Dec. 2001;i was unemployed last Jan. '02(so i had no contribution 4 said month of that yr),then i had a job & my contribution resumed in Feb.-Dec.2002.Then for the entire 2003,i had complete contributions, to present. U think there's gonna b a prob(such as denial of my application)coz of the months i didn't have contributions?(i hope not! ) Quote Link to comment
