The Fire Nation is waging a ruthless, oppressive war against the other three nations. The action cuts across various countries including Chechnya, Afghanistan, Russia and China.

"The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian" hunk Ben Barnes stars as Oscar Wilde's infamous immortal protagonist in the new major feature film adaptation of "Dorian Gray". 'Gray' tells the story of a strikingly beautiful young man named Dorian (Ben Barnes). He arrives in Victorian London and is swept into a social whirlwind by the charismatic Henry Wotton (Colin Firth), who introduces Dorian to the hedonistic pleasures of the city. When a portrait of Dorian is unveiled, such is its beauty that he makes a pledge: he would give anything to stay as he is in the picture - even his soul. "Dorian Gray" examines the destructive power of beauty, the blind pursuit of pleasure and the darkness that can result.

The Zookeeper:

Adam Sandler, Cher, Jon Favreau, Sylvester Stallone and Judd Apatow will provide voices for the animals in the live-action comedy "The Zookeeper" for MGM Films. The film centers on zoo animals trying to teach the keeper their methods of dating and mating to help him win back the woman of his dreams. Red Dawn (remake):

MGM’s Red Dawn remake appears to actually be happening as Josh Peck and Adrianne Palicki have joined Chris Hemsworth in the film to be directed by first timer Dan Bradley. The script was written by Carl Ellsworth and Jeremy Passmore whose work is limited although Ellsworth has recently co-written a couple of recent horror/thrillers including the awful The Last House on he Left remake and Disturbia. This remake is based on the John Milius-directed 1984 original, which was set during the dawn of World War III and followed a group of mid-western America teenagers as they band together to defend their town, and their country, from invading Soviet forces.

The remake will follow a similar plot thread telling the story of a group of teenagers who form an impromptu insurgency when their town is invaded by Chinese and Russian soldiers. Peck — most recently seen in The Wackness — will play Matt Eckert, the hotheaded younger brother of Hemsworth’s Jed Eckert and star quarterback of their Spokane high school football team. Palicki will play Toni, a tough fighter the brothers encounter who develops romantic feelings for Jed, a Marine home on leave and the group’s unofficial leader.

300 sequel:

Out doing promotion for the upcoming "Watchmen" and "300: Complete Experience" DVD and Blu-ray release, Zack Snyder sat down wto talk about a potential follow-up to the 2007 Spartan epic.

"I know for a fact that Frank [Miller] is writing right now. [He's] drawing away and seems to be knee-deep in it. I think he's going to head back to Greece again and do another reconnaissance."

Snyder says he doesn't expect much to change from the first film in regards to the sequel's making so the budget will be kept in check - "I think we would use the same technology... I don't want it to look too Star Wars-ian... Just from what [Miller] told me, it would be bigger as far as landscape and terrain.

We're going to see Athens and the Aegean and other places. There would be an opportunity for bigger visions, though I'd hope for the same aesthetic. The tech we used for '300' was not a revolution. It's basically what the weatherman has."

Thor:

Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston and Brian Blessed are set, but who else is starring in the upcoming film adaptation of the Marvel Comics hero "Thor"?

Meanwhile Jessica Biel is now being rumored to be playing a female character and love interest to the titular hero in the project according to Nuke the Fridge.

The site's source also says the role is likely to be that of Amora The Enchantress.

Iron Man 2:

Road & Track has published a photo revealing Robert Downey Jr.'s character Tony Stark's GP racer from Iron Man 2.

This is the Stark Industries-sponsored vintage race car that the movie's main protagonist — genius inventor and swashbuckling lady's man Tony Stark — will be driving in a scene that depicts him racing in the Grand Prix de Monaco Historique, a vintage race held in Monte Carlo. The scene is not being filmed on the actual streets of the tiny, glamorous seaside principality near the south of France, but on an elaborate set that replicates the Monaco circuit. We're not sure what the Stark Industries car, which is built to resemble a '70s racer, is based on exactly, but this image leads us to believe that a fully functional race car — perhaps a Formula Ford or Formula Mazda car — resides beneath that blue-and-white Stark Motor Sports livery. Check out the Avon racing slicks and transmission sticking out the back of the car beneath the rear wing.

Bill Nighy is set to join the Harry Potter franchise with the star rumoured to play Rufus Scrimgeour in both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The character succeeded Cornelius Fudge in the post of Minister for Magic towards the end of The Half-Blood Prince, and is described as looking like an old lion with bushy eyebrows, tawny hair, yellow eyes and wire-rimmed spectacles. Nighy is best known for playing Davy Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels, as well as powerful vampire Viktor in the Underworld trilogy.

The A-Team:

The latest news on The A-Team movie we keep hearing about is that Grammy-nominated rapper The Game will be given much talked about role of B.A. Baracus. The site also suggests Ice Cube and martial arts star Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson may be in the frame for the role. Of course, this is the character that was played by Mr. T on the television series. Some other names that have bandied about include Liam Neeson as John “Hannibal” Smith and Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Pack. The movie is set to be in theatres on June 11, 2010

Resident Evil: Afterlife

Reports says that Sony's Screen Gems is eyeing a September 17, 2010 release for the fourth "Resident Evil" installment, to be titled Resident Evil: Afterlife. The ending of the third film, Resident Evil: Extinction, left the door wide open for another sequel. Paul W.S. Anderson revealed late last year he was indeed writing the next film. As hinted at the end of "Extinction," the story will shift to Tokyo, Japan.

Let Me In:

Director Matt Reeves ("Cloverfield") has revealed to The Los Angeles Times a few more details about the upcoming American remake of the highly acclaimed Swedish horror film "Let the Right One In". Reeves tells the paper he's completed a second script draft for the project which moves the action to early 80's Colorado. Locations will soon be scouted to match the original's snow-drenched icy environment.

As previously reported, the film is officially being called "Let Me In" which is a closer English translation of the title of John Ajvide Lindqvist's original novel. The 2008 original centered around Oscar, an overlooked and bullied young boy who finds love and revenge through Eli, a beautiful but peculiar girl who turns out to be a vampire.

Don't Be Afraid of the Dark:

Guy Pearce is in talks to star in supernatural thriller Don't Be Afraid of the Dark for horror maestro Guillermo Del Toro. Katie Holmes has already been cast in the flick, while Bridge to Terabithia star Bailee Madison is also in talks to appear in this remake of a 1973 TV movie of the same name. Madison will play the daughter who is initially fascinated by the creatures, until they turn dangerous. Del Toro protégé Troy Nixey will direct, with principle photography set to start in Melbourne,

Predators (remake):

Producer Robert Rodriguez has confirmed that Nimrod Antal is indeed onboard to direct the forthcoming Predators. It seems Antal was chosen ahead of the likes of Neil Marshall because of his sterling work on Kontroll and the forthcoming Armoured, and also because of his charismatic personality.

Rodriguez said: "I found him to be an outstanding presence, a great communicator full of ideas... He reminded me of Quentin [Tarantino] with how he was able to work with a group of very strong, singular actor talents and make it look effortless."

He also tells us to expect Predators to be as character-driven as the original, and to revolve around "a very intense group of people stranded on a Predator planet discovering unspeakable horrors (that are not always from outside their group)."

Predators will begin filming at Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios in Austin this autumn.

Jack Ryan movie:

The third actor to play Batman in the 1990s reportedly wants to be the fourth actor to play Jack Ryan.

According to reports, Oscar winner George Clooney "appears to be looking for his next commercial opportunity now that the Ocean's franchise seems to be played out. A source says he expressed interest in playing Jack Ryan when and if Paramount attempts to revive the Tom Clancy series."

Several actors -- including Ryan Gosling, Aaron Eckhart, James Franco, and even the return of Harrison Ford -- have been linked with the role of Ryan over the last few years.

It was reported last December that screenwriter Hossein Amini (The Wings of the Dove, The Four Feathers) had been hired by producers Mace Neufeld and Lorenzo Di Bonaventura to write the script for the next Ryan flick.

Blade (prequel):

Stephen Norrington - who directed the original Blade - is working on a prequel trilogy based in the same universe. The director told the site that he will begin work on the prequel after he's finished remaking The Crow, and that it will revolve around Deacon Frost - the ambitious upstart vampire played by Stephen Dorff in the first movie.

He confirmed a story that appeared last year in Brit paper The Sunday Mail, with Dorff saying he came up with the idea for the prequel. Now Norrington says his idea has "evolved into a very interesting story" and will tie in directly with later Blade films. "The linkage to Blade is still big in the equation" he said.

What he doesn't mention is if Wesley Snipes, currently in a spot of bother over some unpaid taxes, would be involved.

Blitz:

Jason Statham will play a sociopathic, destructive cop named Brant in the upcoming film adaptation of Ken Bruen's novel "Blitz". Set in South East London, the book follows three different police officers who must deal with their own issues alongside hunting down a serial killer hunting down cops all over the city in a quest for tabloid immortality. Paddy Considine will be playing Sergeant Porter Nash, an openly gay cop that works with the homophobic Brant. Nathan Parker ("Moon") adapted the script and Elliott Lester ("Love is a Drug") is directing.

Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea

Randall Wallace has been brought aboard to rewrite "Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea," Disney's take on the classic Jules Verne character being directed by McG. Idealogy's Sean Bailey is producing with McG.

"Nemo" aims to tell the origin of Captain Nemo and his submarine warship, the Nautilus. Nemo is a mysterious but noble antagonist in the book, a scientific genius with a thirst for knowledge and a desire for revenge against the forces of imperialism.

In Verne's lesser-known sequel, "The Mysterious Island," Nemo is revealed as Indian Prince Dakkar, a rajah's son who took part in a failed rebellion and lost his wife and children. It is unclear how close to that back story Disney will stick, but "Nemo's" tone will be decidedly action-adventure.

Beastly:

"Six Feet Under" star Peter Krause has joined the fantasy-romance "Beastly" for CBS Films. Krause plays the materialistic father of a rich, handsome teen (Alex Pettyfer) who plays a cruel joke on a classmate not knowing she's a witch (Mary-Kate Olsen). Vanessa Hudgens plays the romantic lead interest.

The Gate (remake):

H20 Motion Pictures is proceeding with a low-budget 3D remake of 1987 horror cult classic "The Gate" after financing finally got locked into place. The original, which starred Stephen Dorff, followed three young children who accidentally release a horde of nasty, pint-sized demons from a hole in a suburban backyard. "Bill and Ted" actor turned director Alex Winter will helm the project which will shoot at MMC Studios in Cologne later this Summer.

Jennifer's Body:

In the movie, Megan Fox plays a high school cheerleader who becomes possessed by a demon and begins feeding off the boys in her town. Amanda Seyfried stars as her best friend. Johnny Simmons and Adam Brody also star.

Green Lantern:

Ryan Reynolds has landed the coveted role of “Green Lantern,” getting the starring role in Warner Bros.' live-action film based on the DC Comics hero.

Martin Campbell will direct. The studio is still working on the picture’s budget, but production is expected to begin in January.

The news caps off a memorable summer for Reynolds, who played Deadpool in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine,” a performance that prompted Fox to begin development on a spinoff film. Reynolds followed that by starring opposite Sandra Bullock in the romantic comedy “The Proposal,” which crossed the $100 million mark this week.

Warners and Campbell chose Reynolds, who vied for the superhero role along with “The Hangover” star Bradley Cooper and Jared Leto. The momentum built for Reynolds in the last week, as he was the only actor whose option was extended.

Greg Berlanti wrote the script with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green. Donald DeLine will produce with Berlanti. Reynolds’ reps at UTA are working out his deal.

Complete Look at the Full Cast of Sylvain White's The Losers

Originally a Special Forces team seconded to the CIA in the 90s, the Losers were betrayed by their handler, Max, and left for dead following the conclusion of their operation. Eager for revenge and the opportunity to remove their names from a secret CIA death list, the Losers regroup and conduct covert operations against the CIA and its interests, uncovering startling operations spearheaded by the enigmatic Max, whose influence within the CIA and US government is unparalleled.

The Losers:

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is Clay: The Leader, easily identified by a consistent use of black suits without ties. Commonly referred to as 'the Colonel,' perhaps alluding to his rank prior to the team's "death." A meticulous planner, initiative-taker and an excellent leader, Clay harbors the largest grudge against Max, at times appearing visibly angry at the mention of his name.

Idris Elba is Roque: The second-in-command, easily identified by the large, vertical scar down the right side of his face and icy demeanor. His ruthless thirst for money motivates a majority of his actions, including the serial betrayal of the Losers and many of his underlings.

Chris Evans is Jensen: The hacker of the group, characterized by his spiky blonde hair, glasses and a conspicuous beard on his chin. Known for his nonstop motormouth that often leads him into trouble and a variety of conversational tangents.

Óscar Jaenada is Cougar: The sniper, identified by his cowboy hat and haunted demeanor. Morose and laconic as a result of a traumatic combat incident in Afghanistan. An absolute genius with the rifle.

Columbus Short is Pooch: The pilot of the group, identifiable by his shaved head and laid-back appearance, has been known to pilot any ground, air or sea vehicle with ease. Despite his involvement with the CIA and Special Forces, is also married with children.

Zoe Saldana is Aisha: The loose cannon who partners with the Losers in light of their common goal of killing Max. Skilled in all combat skills, with particular emphasis on melee and reconnaissance, stemming from a harsh upbringing in Afghanistan and Pakistan. A cold-blooded killer who prefers to leave corpses rather than survivors when she engages the enemy.

The Bad Guys:

Jason Patric is Max: A Keyser Söze-like mastermind wielding unprecedented, covert influence over the US intelligence community and military institutions. Organized the assassination of Aisha's father, a slave trader and local warlord, and the subsequent "accident" of the Losers when they went off-mission. Although the current Max enjoys substantial influence over the CIA and infamy throughout the Black Ops community, the "Max" codename predates the CIA itself by several years.

Holt McCallany is Wade: A "psychotic mercenary" who is involved in the Santa Maria massacre witnessed by the Losers in Colombia. Also described by THR as a "Special Forces officer who has left the group." My guess is that he becomes a henchman for Max in the movie, but who knows.

Thor:

Marvel Studios has confirmed an earlier report that Natalie Portman has been cast in the upcoming Thor playing Jane Foster. In the comics, Foster was a nurse who became Thor’s first love. Chris Hemsworth stars as the title character. Tom Hiddleston plays the villain Loki.

Here’s the summary from Marvel:

Marvel Studios expands its film universe with a new type of superhero: Thor. This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.

Kenneth Branagh is directing the movie which is scheduled to begin filming in early 2010 for a May 20, 2011 release.

The Kung-Fu Kid:

Will Smith-produced remake/re-imagining of The Karate Kid has officially been retitled The Kung-Fu Kid. Directed by Harald Zwart (The Pink Panther 2) and written by Chris Murphy and Steven Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness). Filming on the remake has begun this weekend in Beijing, and is expected to last three months.

Jaden Smith plays Dre, a skateboarding video game buff who is forced to move to China after his single mother (Taraji P. Henson) is forced to transfer to the China for work. Of course, unable to speak Chinese, Dre finds it hard to settle in, and gets beat up by the local bully. Jackie Chan plays Mr. Han, a maintenance man who spots Dre’s black-eye and offers to teach him both martial arts and Chinese, so he can defend against the students of Li Quan Ha’s Fighting dragon school of Kung-Fu.

Green Hornet:

Cameron Diaz has been offered and is apparently in early talks for the female lead role in "The Green Hornet" for Sony Pictures. Michel Gondry is set to direct the film based on a script by actor/comedian Seth Rogen and his writing partner Evan Goldberg. Rogen would play the titular masked hero, based on the character made famous through the 60's TV series, 40's short film serials and 30's radio serials.

The Smurfs Movie:

Raja Gosnell (Beverly Hills Chihuahua) has been tapped to direct Sony's live-action/animated "Smurfs." The film will be released in 3-D and 2-D formats on Dec. 17, 2010. "Smurfs" will be produced by Jordan Kerner ("Charlotte's Web"). J. David Stem and David N. Weiss (“Shrek 2,” "Jimmy Neutron") penned the script and Audrey Wells (“George of the Jungle”) is polishing; the logline’s being kept under wraps.

Best known in the U.S. for the long-running Hanna-Barbera cartoon, the Smurfs were created in 1958 by Belgian cartoonist Pierre Culliford, known throughout the world as Peyo. The Smurfs, known as "Les Schtroumpfs" in French, were created for a Belgian series of comicbooks, first as minor characters. The dwarflike villagers spawned a line of statuettes, games, toys, theme parks and a hit TV series, which ran as part of NBC's Saturday-morning lineup 1981-90.

Robinhood:

Danny Huston is gearing up for Universal and Imagine Entertainment's Robin Hood movie. Ridley Scott is directing the film in England. Russell Crowe will be playing Robin Hood in this film that was written by Ethan Reiff, Cyrus Voris and Brian Helgeland. Imagine Entertainment's Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind) is producing along with Scott and Crowe. Huston will be playing the historical figure King Richard. He was later dubbed Richard the Lionheart because of what he did in the Third Crusade.

City That Sailed:

"I Am Legend" director Francis Lawrence is back in business with Will Smith. Lawrence is aboard to develop and direct "City That Sailed," a 20th Century Fox project about a father and daughter living on opposite sides of the ocean whose love is so strong that it causes Manhattan to split off and float across the Atlantic. The film will be developed as a potential star vehicle for Smith, who is producing with Overbrook Entertainment partner James Lassiter.

The Losers:

Holt McCallany ("Below," "Fight Club") has joined the cast of the comic book adaptation "The Losers" for Warner Brothers and Silver Pictures. he story deals with a band of black ops commandos who are set up to be killed by their own government. They barely survive and set out to get even. McCallany will play the role of Wade, a special-ops officer who has abandoned the group. Zoe Saldana, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Jason Patric also star. Sylvain White will direct and Gregory Noveck will produce.

Max Steel:

Despite the "G.I. Joe" film not being out yet, Paramount Pictures is moving forward with another film based on Mattel action figures - this time "Max Steel". The toy property revolves around a 19-year-old extreme sports junkie recruited by a secret agency after an accident infects his body with nanobots, making him superhuman.

The toy was introduced in 1999 and became both an animated series from 2000-2002, and the biggest selling Mattel figure in Latin America. The plan with the film is to help 'relaunch' the toy line. Mattel and Joe Roth are seeking a screenwriter and director, who will work closely with the toymaker to develop the film's characters and storyline to match the company's plans for the franchise.

The Beaver:

Mel Gibson will star in "The Beaver" for director Jodie Foster. The script, written by Kyle Killen, topped the Blacklist in December. Gibson will play a depressed man who finds solace in wearing a beaver hand-puppet. On top of helming, Foster will play the role of the man's wife. Foster boarded the project and brought it to Gibson, with whom she co-starred in 1994's "Maverick."

Furry Vengeance:

After a 10-year hiatus from mainstream movies, Brooke Shields is returning to the big screen, coming aboard Summit and Participant Media live-action family comedy "Furry Vengeance." The company also announced that Dick Van Dyke, Ken Jeong and Samantha Bee have joined the cast of the live-action family pic. Brendan Fraser is playing the lead in Roger Kumble's film, which centers on a real estate developer who gets more than he bargained for from a band of raccoons when he pushes too hard into more pristine territory. Shields will play Tami Sanders, the wife of Fraser's character.

MacGruber:

Ryan Phillippe and Val Kilmer are in talks to star in a big-screen adaptation of the 'MacGruber' sketch from "Saturday Night Live". SNL alum Will Forte and Kristen Wiig are reprising their roles from the skits which are a comedic riff of 80's action show "MacGyver".

In the skits, Forte plays MacGyver's son and Wiig as his assistant. The pair usually find themselves, and the week's guest star, stuck in a room with a ticking bomb which usually goes off due to MacGruber getting caught up in his own personal issues.

The feature film takes a different tack - in it, the much decorated MacGruber is pulled out of retirement as a monk in Ecuador by a colonel, who needs him once more to fight on behalf of his country. This time the mission involves going up against the evil Cunth, who has a nuclear warhead; the mission is personal because Cunth killed MacGruber's bride.

Phillippe would play Piper, an Army officer forced to pair up with a reluctant MacGruber. Kilmer would be Cunth. Jorma Taccone will direct and co-wrote the script with Forte and John Solomon. Production begins next month in New Mexico.

Treevenge:

Treevenge details the experiences and horrifying reality of the lives of Christmas trees. Clearly, for trees, Christmas isnt the exciting peace on earth that is experienced by most. After being hacked down, and shipped away from their homes, they quickly become strung up, screwed into an upright position for all to see, exposed in a humiliation of garish decorations. But this Christmas will be different, this Christmas the trees have had enough, this Christmas the trees will fight back. Treevenge could be a short film about the end of days for Christmas trees, or perhaps, the end of humanity?

Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Rick Riordan's series of adventure books for young adults is headed for for the screen with Chris Columbus at the helm, which bodes well for fantasy/adventure tomes. When Percy Jackson (Logan Lerman of 3:10 to Yuma and the upcoming Gamer) discovers he's the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods.

The first of five books thus far, The Lightning Thief's film adaptation rounds out it's godly cast with Rosario Dawson as Persephone, Steve Coogan as Hades, Uma Thurman as Medusa, Pierce Brosnan as Chiron, Ray Winstone as Ares, Kevin McKidd as Poseidon and Sean Bean as Zeus, as well as the more mortal Catherine Keener as Percy’s mom.

Scream 4:

It seems that two characters from the Scream universe will be back for a fourth film. According to E! Online, both Courteney Cox-Arquette and David Arquette will be returning for Scream 4.

"We're going to be doing Scream 4," David Arquette told the site. ""Kevin Williamson is writing the script at this moment, and hopefully Wes Craven is going to direct."Neve Campbell was said to turn down a chance to reprise her role in the sequel, but Arquette added, "I hope Neve does it. I really hope so."

In the original film series, David Arquette portrayed police deputy Dewey Riley, while Courteney Cox-Arquette portrayed sensationalist TV reporter Gail Weathers.

Hack/Slash:

It seems that a gestating cult comic-book film project is finally getting off the ground. Fredrik Bond has signed on to direct Hack/Slash.

The film is based off the comic book created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Casselli, which revolves around Cassie Hack, who symbolizes the one woman that survives at the end of most horror films, but has become much more than that. Not only has Hack survived, but she has transformed into a killer herself, travelling the back roads and killing youngsters in small towns all across the country.

The script was written by Justin Marks and the film, now with a director firmly in place after many had come and gone, is eyeing a winter start date for production.

Iron Man 2:

Entertainment Weekly has managed to score the first look at Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow in the upcoming Iron Man 2 as the film and its stars make the mag's July cover story in preparation for next week's San Diego Comic Con.

Johansson enters the film as Stark's mysterious new assistant, Natasha, who has an alter ego of her own, Black Widow. That introduction inevitably sparks romantic tension between Stark and former assistant Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), who's been promoted to CEO of Stark Industries.

one would think that radcliffe would want to steer away from yet another role from the fantasy genre.

but then again he does look kinda hobbit-like right next to the stretched grint in the latest HP movie. mas matangkad pa nga yata si emma watson sa kanya e.

Voltron: Defenders of the Universe

Charles Roven, the producer of The Dark Knight, Get Smart, and The International, has acquired the screen rights to the 1980s animated TV series Voltron. Roven will produce Voltron via his Atlas Entertainment banner along with Richard Suckle and Steve Alexander and Jason Netter of Kickstart Entertainment and World Events' Ted Koplar. No studio is involved yet.

Voltron had been in-development for years at producer Mark Gordon's company until New Regency put it into turnaround last year. Justin Marks had penned the screenplay and newcomer Max Makowski was lined up to direct.

The series featured a band of five robot-lions who combined to form one super lion. A group of five pilots control the lions, which are charged with defending the planet Arus from villain King Zarkon, who dispatches evil creatures called Robobeats to fight the Voltron robots.

The Green Hornet:

Despite rumours floating around the internet that The Green Hornet is dead in the water and confirmation that Stephen Chow will no longer play Kato, Seth Rogen has confirmed, in an interview that the movie is forging ahead. Rogen, who will produce, write and star in the movie, stated, “we’re building sets! There’s more people working on the film every day! They traditionally don’t spend millions and millions of dollars on movies that are dead.“.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles:

John Fusco has been hired to write the new live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, scheduled for a 2011 release. Fusco has been practicing martial arts since he was 12, and continues to study Shaolin Kung Fu. He wrote last year's The Forbidden Kingdom, starring Jackie Chan and Jet Li. He also wrote a redo of The Seven Samurai for the Weinstein Co. His other credits include Hidalgo and Young Guns.

"It is always exciting when you can come aboard a project that bridges the worlds of what you do with what you love," Fusco said.

Fusco will incorporate elements of the "Turtles" comics, created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman in 1983, for the new adventure, which is being planned as an origins story. No studio or director are yet attached to the project.

Discipline:

David Permut and Steve Lee Jones are set to produce the sci-fi adventure "Discipline". Based on Paco Ahlgren's 2008 novel, the story centers on a man's psychological battle with an enemy he cannot see. The outcome determines the past, present and future of human existence. Permut and Jones are also developing a biopic about late automaker John DeLorean.

The Collector:

The movie follows the story of handyman and ex-con Arkin, who aims to repay a debt to his ex-wife by robbing his new employers country home. Unfortunately for Arkin, a far worse enemy has already laid claim to the property - and the family. As the seconds tick down to midnight, Arkin becomes a reluctant hero trapped by a masked Collector in a maze of lethal invention - the Spanish Inquisition as imagined by Rube Goldberg - while trying to rescue the very family he came to rob.

The Twilight Zone:

Warner Bros. and Leonardo DiCaprio's production company Appian Way are working on a feature-film remake of Rod Serling's seminal TV series The Twilight Zone. Rand Ravich has been hired to write the script for the movie. He previously wrote and directed The Astronaut's Wife and executive-produced Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, in addition to his TV work on Life.

The Twilight Zone redux has been in the works at Appian for the past year, apparently, though Ravich's hire is news. No word yet on the specifics of the film, and whether or not it will focus on one feature-length story or several anthology-style shorter stories as did the 1983 movie. Whatever the case, it seems unlikely that the project will be able to match the magic and singular feel of Serling's original.
