The Incredible Hulk:

"The Incredible Hulk" will be matched against the oversized adversary Abomination, and Tim Roth will play the villain's alter ego, Emil Blonsky. Roth joins Edward Norton and Liv Tyler in the Louis Leterrier-directed drama, which is being financed by Marvel Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures on June 13, 2008.

Emil Blonsky is a KGB agent who becomes the Abomination after deliberately exposing himself to the same gamma radiation (but in a greater quantity) that transforms Bruce Banner into the Hulk. Blonsky survives the radiation as, like Bruce Banner, he belongs to a small minority born with a genetic factor that caused them to mutate instead of die horribly. As a result, Blonsky is transformed into a massive green-skinned monster with physical strength exceeding even that of the Hulk. In his first appearance, the Abomination is more than twice as powerful as a calm Hulk. While able to retain his mental faculties, Blonsky soon discovered that he is unable to return to human form.

John Rambo:

Julie Benz will star opposite Sylvester Stallone in John Rambo. The sequel finds Rambo living in solitude until he gets involved in a girl's disappearance. The movie is currently shooting in Thailand, Mexico and the U.S. In addition to starring, Sylvester Stallone is also directing.

Terminator 4:

More Terminator movies are reportedly on the way. Three new installments have been "fast tracked" on the inexhaustible cyborg production line, courtesy of new rights owners The Halcyon Company, who are currently re-routing subsystems looking for extra voltage. The new film, already being planned for 2009, will "attempt to reinvent the franchise with new cast and plotlines", theoretically in the same way that benefited Batman and Bond. A script had already been penned by T3 writers John Brancato and Michael Ferris, supposedly following a thirty-something John Connor leading humanity's remainders against the robots.

RUMORS:

Jetsons:

Robert Rodriguez is in talks to direct a live-action feature version of futuristic 1960s cartoon The Jetsons for Warner Bros. The storyline will be based on the popular animated Hanna-Barbera TV show, which revolved around the travails of a family in the distant future. At the same time, he has met with Will Ferrell and Universal Pictures about directing Land of the Lost, based on the 1970s fantasy TV series. Ferrell is attached to star.

Austin Powers 4:

Mike Myers has said that he wants to make another Austin Powers movie and will start working on it after he finishes his next movie, called The Love Guru. A fourth Austin Powers movie would focus on Austin's one-time arch-enemy, Doctor Evil.

"I have figured out that the story will be taken from the point of Doctor Evil," Myers said in a recent interview. "It will be powered from Doctor Evil's point of view." Myers added: "That will be the first of a trilogy. ... I'm just joking! ... I haven't figured it all out. Who knows?".

He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

Legendary Pictures is reportedly looking to bring another genre epic to the big-screen: He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. The rumor mill also suggests that they even have an A-list star in mind to play He-Man. According to the British tabloid The Sun, Brad Pitt is being eyed to play Prince Adam/He-Man in the long-in-development movie. (Dolph Lundgren played the role in the 1987 live-action Masters of the Universe feature.)

The Mummy 3: Curse Of The Dragon

Maria Bello will replace Rachel Weisz in the third installment of The Mummy 3: Curse of the Dragon after Weisz left because of "script problems". Variety reports that she joins Brendan Fraser, Luke Ford, Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh in the Rob Cohen-directed film for Universal Pictures. Bello will play Evelyn Carnahan O'Connell, the adventuress played in the first two films by Weisz. After Weisz declined to reprise, Cohen and the studio cast a wide net for a replacement. Scripted by "Smallville" creators Miles Millar and Alfred Gough, the film brings the O'Connells and their full-grown son (Ford) to the forbidden tombs of China and the Himalayas, where they battle a shape-shifting mummy, a former Chinese emperor (Li) cursed by a wizard (Yeoh).

The Dark Knight:

Rumor has it that Cillian Murphy and the Scarecrow will return for The Dark Knight. Originally there were rumors that Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin would be in the film but that news was debunked and many began to wonder if another villain would join Joker. It's unclear how large Scarecrow's role will be but he may play a part in helping Joker concoct his "Joker toxin".

Metal Gear Solid Movie Exclusive

Will David Hayter be involved?

May 14, 2007 - The one question that fans have consistently asked us ever since the news broke that Konami and Sony Pictures were teaming to turn the videogame Metal Gear Solid into a feature film is whether screenwriter-actor David Hayter would be involved with the project. Hayter voiced the game's protagonist, Solid Snake.

Now IGN can exclusively report that Hayter will not be a part of the film. We have confirmed that Hayter pitched his take on the project to Konami but they have opted not to hire him to script and/or produce it. Hayter even penned a treatment for the proposed big-screen version but, alas, the powers-that-be passed on it.

An insider who has read Hayter's treatment advised us that his take was "Metal Gear as the Apocalypse Now of the digital age, with Snake at the center of a swirling whirlpool of Genomic/military madness."

Since voicing Solid Snake, Hayter has carved out a second career for himself as a screenwriter, beginning with Bryan Singer's X-Men. His screenplay adaptation of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' graphic novel Watchmen is being revised by Alex Tse and director Zack Snyder for the long-in-development feature film.

His able assistants include a white dog named Snowy, the lunatic Captain Haddock, the muddled genius Professor Calculus and the Thompson Twins. Spielberg and Jackson have selected three stories from Remi's "The Adventures of Tintin" series, which encompassed 23 books published between 1929 and 1976. Spielberg has held various film rights to the series off and on for more than 25 years.

Unfortunately that rumor was killed. :P

AICN and many other sites around the web are reporting that a teaser trailer for the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight, will premiere before Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Unfortunately we have received word from a VERY GOOD SOURCE that this is completely 100% untrue. So mark this rumor as killed. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix hits theaters on July 13.
